The
DoorDash Rewards Mastercard® is a good credit card for someone with a
good credit score (
700+) who frequently gets food, groceries and alcohol delivered. The DoorDash credit card has a
$0 annual fee and gives a
Free Dash Pass for a year ($96 value). Cardholders earn excellent ongoing rewards, too.
The DoorDash Credit Card rewards you with
4% cash back on DoorDash and Caviar orders, 3% cash back on dining directly from a restaurant, 2% cash back on grocery store purchases, as well as 1% back on all other purchases. In addition, you can take advantage of exclusive cardholder benefits to save even more on DoorDash services.
One thing this card does not have is a low APR. As a result, you should only apply if you plan to pay the balance in full each month.
DoorDash Credit Card Review Highlights
Free DashPass Membership
Getting the
DoorDash Rewards Mastercard® gets you a free DashPass membership for one year, and spending at least $10,000 on the card in 12 months unlocks another free year of DashPass.
A DashPass membership would normally cost $96 per year. It gets you $0 delivery fees on eligible orders, which will save you an average of $4-5 per purchase, and you also get access to special promotions.
Just watch out because you will be automatically enrolled for a DashPass membership at full price once you no longer qualify for the benefit. It’s a good idea to set a reminder for yourself if you’re not sure you’ll want to pay for this perk.
$0 Annual Fee
The DashPass credit card has no annual fee, which means it is
$22.29 per year cheaper than the average credit card offer.
Up to 4% Cash Back on Purchases
You’ll earn the maximum rewards rate on purchases made through DoorDash and Caviar, which is a delivery service owned by DoorDash, but you can save on unaffiliated purchases, too. Most notably, the DoorDash credit card gives 3% cash back on purchases made directly through restaurants and 2% cash back on purchases made from grocery stores, either in person or online.
In addition, you can earn 1% cash back on purchases that do not qualify for the bonus rewards rates. That is standard for a rewards card.
Rewards won’t expire as long as your account is open
You won’t lose your cash back rewards simply because you wait a long time to redeem. Just make sure to cash out before closing your account. Make sure to pay your bill on time as well because you could lose your rewards if your account is closed due to nonpayment.
Up to $15 off one order per month
Cardholders get 10% off one DoorDash convenience, grocery, alcohol, retail or DashMart order per month. Unfortunately, the maximum amount you can save is capped at $15 per month, and the deal is only valid until 12/31/2024.
High APR
The DoorDash credit card is not a good option for carrying a balance from month to month, thanks to an APR that could be anywhere from
20.24% to 28.99% (V) depending on your overall creditworthiness. No reduced introductory APR is currently available.
700+ credit score recommended
The DoorDash credit card requires at least
good credit for approval. We suggest applying if your credit score is
700 or higher, as you should have high approval odds. You can
