Capital One Credit Cards

Capital One helped pioneer the mass marketing of credit cards in the early '90s. As a result, Capital One cards, which are well known from their "no-hassle" advertisements, have enjoyed an astronomical growth that has made the company the fifth largest credit card issuer in the United States. Capital One credit cards are also known as Capitol One credit cards or just Cap1 cards.

Capital One is a good card for those with bad credit, but probably not the best choice for others.

There are many credit card companies out and available to use, but above all I have found Capital One to be the easiest to work with. I have had issues in the past with credit cards due to unexpected expenses and paying a monthly bill became difficult. Capital One fully understood my situation and without question gave me a break for one month, much more than any other company that I have experienced in the past. I would recommend Capital One to anyone that wants to work with a credit card company that believes in you and is compassionate to your needs.

My husband and I had this card when we were younger and just getting credit so it's great when you need to build your credit even after bankruptcy. The minimum payment is low too. The finance charge is high which is bad. they do increase your credit limit regularly which is good.

I, too, used this card when starting out and agree that it's good for building credit. Just try and keep that balance down and you should be okay!

This is a great card. I've never had trouble with customer services. Those agents are always on top of their stuff. Also there is no foreign transaction fee. About 2 years ago, I traveled to Spain and switched to Capital One to avoid those pesky fees. It was a pleasure not to see any extra expense for spending my own money internationally.

My first card was the Capital One Platinum. After six months of on-time payments, I received a credit increase, and was encouraged to also apply for the green Cash Rewards card. I applied, and instantly took advantage of rewards points (something the Platinum did not offer). Capital One replaced it with the QuickSilver several months ago, and I now have even better rewards than before, taking advantage of the program by charging most everything to the QuickSilver and paying it off in full each month. Though the Platinum is not a great card, it caters to those with just average credit, so I am accepting of the higher interest rates. more

The Capital One QuicksilverOne Cash Rewards Credit Card has to be one of my favorite credit cards yet. I used this card for everything. Down to paying for tolls. If you need a card that is reliable, secure and accepted almost everywhere. This is the card you should look into.

I have a Capital One Platinum Credit Card and I can say it has been overall a good card. I have good credit but not excellent and I was able to get approved for the card. When I applied I was forced to pay a nineteen dollar per year annual fee which I was not happy about. I would strongly prefer a card with no annual fee at all. The interest rate on my card is too high, it is the highest annual percentage rate out of all my other cards. I would recommend that others look into similar cards from a company other than Capital One.

I have a really terribly high interest rate on my Capital One card, so ideally I try not to carry a balance on it, but it's good to help me out when I need some extra funds to get to pay day or when other unexpected expenses come up. I got this card to help me build my credit and to help me get by while I'm in school and working part-time. I think credit cards can be very useful if used carefully. You must be careful about making payments and trying to keep your balance low, but that is just common knowledge when it comes to using credit in more
