Chase Credit Cards for Fair Credit
Despite the fact that Chase acquired the credit card portfolios of Washington Mutual and Providian, two major players in the fair credit market, Chase has yet to begin offering its own credit cards for people with average credit, and the vast majority of its cards remain targeted to the good credit and excellent credit consumer segments. Still, you shouldn’t be discouraged if you are therefore unable to find any Chase credit cards for fair credit because a number of major issuers do offer fair credit credit cards (i.e. those targeted to people with FICO scores in the 620-659 range). After you expand your search criteria to include these issuers, we suggest focusing on the fair credit offers that do not have annual fees because they will allow you to build credit while keeping your money where it belongs, in your bank account. Once you have attained good credit, which will result from consistently making on-time monthly payments, you can again return to your search for a Chase credit card, if you so choose.
