Great way to save on Gas, AAA & travel. The AAA Travel Credit Card gives you 5% spent on purchases made at gas stations as well as those classified as electric-vehicle charging stations. You will also earn a very solid 3% cash back on groceries, restaurant, travel and AAA purchases. But all other purchases will earn you 1% cash back, which is roughly the market average for a rewards card. So the more you use the AAA Visa Card for those bonus categories, the more rewarding it will be.
$100 there for the taking. If you spend at least $1,000 within 90 days of opening your AAA Travel Credit Card account, you will get a $100 rewards bonus. That’s nice and all, but you can get two or three times that amount with the same initial spending from other cards.
No annual fee. The AAA Travel Card is $21.58 per year cheaper than the average credit card, according to WalletHub’s latest Credit Card Landscape Report. That’s a good thing, if not an attribute that sets the AAA card apart from the pack. There are hundreds of credit cards with no annual fee.
Middle-of-the-road financing appeal. The AAA Credit Card’s regular APR figures to be above average. The average credit cards for people with excellent and good credit charge 18.01% and 24.1%, respectively. So you should take your financing needs elsewhere.
Gotta have goodcredit. The AAA Visa Travel Credit Card requires good or excellent credit for approval, so it’s not for everyone. You can get a sense of your chances by checking your credit score for free on WalletHub.

Not happy with the AAA card company. The people that answer the phones tell you what you want to hear and no results. I received my initial card with an "incorrect name" issue and was hesitant to use it even after speaking with customer service. I went ahead and used it for a few things when my daughter from out of state visited me here in Phoenix, AZ. They assured me a card would arrive very soon and to go ahead and use the card. After many weeks maybe even a month or so I called again because I had not yet received the card. Again they assure me that I can use the card I have until the new card arrives. This agent tells me that she sees my previous call and will "expedite" another card to me. I ask what does expedite mean. She tell me in about 48 hours. I thank her for assisting me. The card DID NOT arrive within 48 hours. In fact it has been about two weeks and nothing. Yesterday when I checked my mail I get an envelope that appears to have a card inside. As I go to unlock the front door I notice a delivery from UPS on the ground by the door. Once inside I begin to open my mail. The envelope does have my new card with correct spelling of my name. When I open the UPS envelope it too has a white envelope. I open it and there it is, another card. So now I have two AAA cards with name spelled correctly that arrived weeks and months AFTER speaking with customer service. Once I pay off the balance I will no longer use this card. With the customer service that LIES how can I trust this company? I am a Retired Military Veteran and Integrity is a value I believe in. AAA Customer Service lacks integrity. I have other cards to use if and when I need a credit card. I am Very Disappointed with AAA Credit Card.

HORRIBLE COMPANY AND CARD!! I applied 11/14 to pay for a Disney Cruise. I was given a temporary card number and it didn't work. I called customer service and was advised the system activated my physical card in error and that voided the temporary card number. I had 72hrs to pay my deposit. The agent advised she would cancel the card and expedite a new one. The expedite date was 11/21! 7 days is NOT expedited. Not one person in customer service was helpful. No empathy no resolution. I wasted an inquiry and will impact credit as I closed the account today.

I have had this card for almost one year and their rewards program is not what it is made to be. There is suppose to be 3% on Travel and AAA related purchases that do not work. My first purchase of an Airfare through the AAA site was only rewarded at 1%. Contact with their customer service after the complaint I was never contacted as promised. A 'Fox Rental Car' attempt online purchase was declined. A another in person charge for the rental was only rewarded at 1% instead of the expected 'Travel' 3%. Airport parking was only rewarded at 1%, is that not Travel. Too hard to guess what they pay so I will move most of my other charges than Gas and Grocery to other cards.

Terrible card for someone who travels. The bank just shut off my card mid-trip! I was out on the road and the card just stopped working. Called the number, the rep said I had to wait to get a letter. Several weeks later I got home to a letter demanding copies of social security cards etc. that they had to review within 30 days or the account would be permanently closed. I usually think of AAA as a company that helps prevent travelers from becoming stranded. But AAA WILL CAUSE YOU TO BE STRANDED ON THE ROAD if you use their credit card.

I had a AAA Visa with B of A and no problems at all. Then it was switched over to Comenity. Within a month I had to dispute hundreds of dollars of bogus charges. Then, my third monthly payment to them went missing in the mail. I called and told them I would cancel the check and pay everything the next month. The person I spoke to told me they would cancel the late fee. Got the bill for the next month and the late fee was still on it. I then mailed the check for the full amount (including late fee) by certified mail. It's on the way (still haven't missed the due date) and I got a call today about not paying the late fee for last month (the one they were supposed to waive). I told them the check was on the way and, when it clears, I am cancelling the card. I spoke to four different people in the last week regarding this issue and the right hand has no idea what the left one is doing. I have multiple credit cards and have never missed or been late on a payment; not until Comenity, that is. Horrible company.

Worst credit card company I've ever experienced. The reward was not given and called the customer service three times about a month ago, still no response. The credit card seized up the gas station system so they do not accept this credit card. Never recommended.

This card touts a 3% reward on travel expenditures. I booked a very expensive trip for next May with a travel company which I am paying $4100 a month for 6-7 months. After charging and paying off that amount for several months, I decided to check my reward balance, only to find to my surprise that I was only being given a 1% reward. I called the company and could not get a straight answer from anyone (spoke with 4 different people for over an hour). This is a "bait and switch" situation; I canceled my card. I will find a company which actually does pay 3% for travel related charges and use them from now on.

I received an unsolicited credit card from Comenity along with a notice that my current AAA Bank of America account had been transferred to them. Never any notice or reason for the switch. No opportunity to give an opinion or ask questions or opt out. The info they sent me did not even include their location. I feel my account was HIJACKED with help from AAA. Very poor management. I called Comenity for more info and was on hold for over one hour. More poor management. I applied to Bank of America for a new card not affiliated with AAA and it's on the way. No hijinks there.

Buyer Beware with the Bank of America AAA Credit Card
I will gladly post my account and FICO scores if anyone needs to see - Perfect repayment record, never late, usually bring balance to zero, carry a low balance when I did.
Had a high balance for 2 month. Made a full payment and noticed my credit limit was zero.
I called customer service to find my card had been cancelled because I had a high balance for two months - I could not believe what I was hearing.
Not lowering credit limit, no phone call, no letter - nothing. Just cancelled card on a great customer with great credit. The rep said - you can apply for a new one.
No thank you.
