It hasn’t been the best time ever recently to visit Mexico, but if you do business south of the border or have family there, you may want a way to lower the cost of this travel, and the AeroMexico Credit Card just might be that way. With the AeroMexico Credit Card, you get 10% off AeroMexico flights, 2 miles per $1 spent on AeroMexico flights, 15,000 bonus miles and a free companion ticket after first use, 2,000 bonus miles and a $99 companion ticket each year you renew your account, and you get one Club Premier Mile for each dollar you spend. For a card that doesn’t have an annual fee during the first year and only a $45 one in subsequent years, the Aero Mexico Credit Card seems to offer a lot of value. However, there it’s important to note that this isn’t the only AeroMexico Credit Card in town. There’s also an AeroMexico Visa Signature Card. It offers 20,000 first use bonus miles instead of 15k, 4,000 bonus miles annually instead of 2k, and 15% discounts on AeroMexico airfare instead of 10%. However, it’s annual fee beginning in the second year is $80 and it has the No Preset Spending Limit Feature, which means you’ll never know exactly how much available credit you have and your credit score might incur undeserved damage because of misleadingly reported credit utilization. If you decide the added rewards are worth the risk, that’s your choice though. Either of these AeroMexico credit cards would certainly help frequent AeroMexico flyers save, but only they should get it. If you don’t fly with this airline a lot you wont be able to benefit from your card often enough or avoid rewards devaluation.
