The biodegradable Discover more card is a good credit card to have. The whole environmental aspect of it is nice I guess, but it's just a gimmick of sorts. The card itself is good, no annual fees to worry about unlike some other cards have. When I had it there was a promotional period with no APR on purchases and it was great. I used it extensively during this period. As others have said, where discover shines is in its customer service. They are amazing, talking to real people who can understand you and help you. They actually know what their doing. No problems there whatsoever. This is a good all around credit card with rewards. Not the best on the market but definitely not the worst.

I have only had this card for several months, but love that I do not pay an annual fee and still get money back. The customer service is excellent as I had charges that were not mine on my statement and they removed them immediately. I did not have to go through a long process of filling out forms like at other credit card companies. To top it off, I am proud to use a card that is so environmentally friendly. It says a lot about what I care about and am pleased I can get the best deal for me while standing up for something I believe in.

This is a good card from Discover. There is a nice promotional period to start that lasts usually 6 months. After those 6 months the card is good to use as you get nice rewards, and typically great customer service provided by Discover. If you are looking to really help the environment and think this card is helping then you are wasting your time. It really is just another credit card in that respect. You have an opportunity to get more rewards by shopping through Discover's own site which does offer a lot of popular retailers on it. The rewards themselves are easy to redeem. This card is slightly above the rest because of Discover's good service just don't be fooled by the environmental aspect of it.

I have been a Discover Biodegradable card holder for a little over three months. I have had no complaints about this card. I really like it because it has no annual fee. I also like it because the card is biodegradable, that helps the environment in a small way. It gives twenty percent cash back at select retailers when you order online. I order online all the time so this card saves me a lot of money. The only downside is that Discover is not accepted at a lot of places. It does have a zero interest rate for the first six months and their customer service iis very good.

The Discover More biodegradable card is a nice all-around credit card to have. I like the fact that there is no annual fee, and their offer included a zero percent interest rate for 6 months which helped me to purchase an entertainment center without having to pay any interest on it! The cash back and interest rates are comparable to other cards; nothing stands out in that area. Discover's customer service, however, is superb. It's always easy to reach live support and they actually seem to know what they're doing! The biodegradable card is a bit of a gimmick, in my opinion, but it may make others feel a little better about their efforts to help the environment. I would recommend this card for its general ease of use and perks, rather than as a way to save the planet.

This credit card requires a good-to-excellent credit rating, which might prevent some people from getting it, but to offset this, it has no annual fee (which is quite nice). They also allow you to pick from a number of designs, which, while not all that important, is still nice. One of the differentiating features of the card (the fact that it is biodegradable) doesn’t affect the uses of the card (obviously), but for environmentally conscious consumers, they might feel a bit better about using the card. The cash-back bonuses are fairly standard, but due to the monthly changes in what qualifies, you have to plan your purchases ahead of time to attempt to take advantage of them, which is a bit annoying.

My experience with the Biodegradable Discover More Card is pretty good. First of all, I love that it is good for the environment, even though I'm not exactly sure how that works, but back to the card. I think the card is all in all a good card. I was given a 41500 credit line when I first got the card. Obviously it's not going to be too high because I am a college student. That was no problem for me as I didn't spend very often. There were never any hidden fees or nothing like that, si U definitely can recommend this card.

I really like the environment so I was drawn to this card. I am not sure what the biodegradable part is supposed to mean, but I liked the sound of it. Apparently the card will eventually decompose and not harm the environment. However, the real point is that the rates for this card are pretty good, especially when you're a student. The grace period is long so that you can give yourself enough time to actually pay the bills without being too squeezed and strapped for time. All in all, it is a good card, especially for students and especially for those who do not want to clutter up the landfills with plastic. This will help the environment!

If you are like me, you care about the environment and try to do whatever you can in order to help out. That is why I really like this Discover Biodegradable More Card. I was instantly awarded with a $1,500 credit line and the customer service is above and beyond most other credit card companies. They really help out with any questions and the APR really isn’t too bad for one of my first credit cards. If you care about the environment or being green, why not help no matter where you can and try to get a card that helps in this situation too. I really like the card and would recommend it to anyone who needs a new credit card!

I've had this card for about 6 months now, and I have to say I think it is a good credit card. It might sound a bit of a gimmick with the whole biodegradable thing, but as someone concerned about the environment, that was one of the things that attracted me most to this card. It's nice to know that I can spend money without having to feel guilty about hurting the environment. I was given a $1500 spending limit, which is not surprising as I am a college student without much credit. Customer service has always been very friendly to deal with, and have always clearly answered my questions every time I have spoken to them. I also like Discover's website a lot. It makes paying my bills very convenient and easy. The only thing I do not like about the card is that the rewards do not seem all that good, but since I try not to spend much money, I would not get a lot of rewards anyways.

My sophomore year of college I found myself in too deep with my financial responsibilities. I ended up opening several lines of credit to keep my head above water, and quickly discovered that I was only making things worse for myself. Towards the end of my financial spiral, I applied for the biodegradable Discover More Card. The rates were low, the grace period was long enough that I could give myself time if I needed to, and the fact that the card was biodegradable was a bonus. In a matter of months my credit score was boosted because of the perks of the card. After about a year and a half of using the card, I was out of debt and using the Discover More card to purchase my graduation gown. It not only saved my back several times, but it kind of grew up with me. For someone just starting out I definitely recommend this card.

This is the standard card I was issued as soon as I graduated from college. I was given roughly a $1500 limit and did not have any problems. I've never seen any hidden fees or anything like that, and customer service was helpful the one or two times I've used them. Currently my APR is under 10%, which is fine with me. One of the downsides is the limited cashback availability for this card. Paying the bill is easy now, as they retooled their web site to actually have more than one bank account for direct deposit at a time. I don't garner too much benefit from their rewards program.

I think as far as gimmicks go, this is a good one. I'm not too stockpiled up on Discover cards, and knocked one star off the rating because, well, it's Discover, and they lose a star for not being accepted at merchants everywhere. But that's more indicative of the company as a whole, not this particular card, and I think we can all agree that the running joke is that Discover is the card where you can Discover where it's not accepted. Other reviewers have commented on the comparative features of this card to others in its class, and it's true, Discover is much smaller and less profitable than the other major card companies, and thus cannot offer as good of deals or anything fancy, benefit-wise. So in the same way that they try to be more friendly towards their merchants they deal with, and the customers they try so hard to retain, they put this card out as a little way of trying to be different in another way, and I appreciate it. Because when I thought about it, personally I never threw my old cards in the recycle bin...

I really enjoy this biodegradable card. I'ma a green freak so it certainly was my forte. The customer service is great, when shopping for a credit card, customer service is probably not the first thing on your mind, but it will be when you need to reach the credit card issuer for something important. And this is where Discover really stands out. Having spoken to Discover’s customer service several times, I know first hand that the customer representatives are friendly and helpful. And Discover promises that you’ll reach a live person within sixty seconds of calling customer support. That's not so common with other card companies and really even though the card is cool, the customer service is also great!

I got the discover card as my first credit card when I was in college. It was great to have for purchases that I needed to make when I really was not making any money and did not have time to hold a full time job. It was a good card to use for gifts, travel, and I also got cash back rewards for my purchases. Unfortunately, like I said, I was not making any money and so I had a hard time paying the card off. I was able to create a payment plan where I paid $60 each month towards the card until my balance was paid off. It was a good card for the first credit card I had and it had a low interest rate.

I applied for this little gem a few weeks ago and it arrived shortly after. I was intrigued by the fact that it's biodegradable so I ordered away. However, before it arrived, I was nervous that it would feel too flimsy in my hand or that it would melt in my wallet or something like that. When I actually received the card I was surprised about how durable it feels in my hand. In a few weeks, I have to make a large purchase and am looking forward to the Cashback that I'll earn with the card. Finally, I make a majority of my purchases online so I'm excited about the 20% discount that online retailers will offer me with my card. Clearly, this is a card to get!

A biodegradable credit card? When I first heard the idea I thought it was pretty great, so I signed right up. The lack of annual fee is really, really awesome for someone with a lower income like myself. While I, unfortunately, live in an area where Discover is not accepted most places, I still like to try it wherever I go. I like how hefty it feels in my hand, and the design is not as boring or wanna-be cool as other cards; simple and efficient. I like the instant Cashback options it offers as well. Overall very pleased with this choice and would recommend to friends.

I've been steadily watching how environmentally friendly I am and am constantly working towards that goal but when I heard that Discover had a card that was biodegradable, I figured I would give it a try. Every little bit helps. I had no trouble applying for this card and found it to be extremely useful while making my purchases. There's no annual fee, which is perfect for me. I like the fact that this is a small step toward becoming more environmentally friendly, and a fantastic card that won't hold you back when you're looking to make important purchases. Excellent.

It’s very trendy to be environmentally conscious these days. In fact, I just heard a story on the radio that claimed Leonadro De Caprio doesn’t shower much or use deodorant because of his passion for conservation. I don’t know if that’s true and while taking care of the environment is definitely a good cause, it doesn’t necessarily mean you should apply for the Biodegradable Discover More Card…or does it? The Biodegradable Discover More is obviously made out of biodegradable material so if you lose it, it won’t harm the environment, but is that all it brings to the table? Well, as far as its terms go, the Biodegradable Discover More Credit Card requires good or excellent credit for approval, does not charge an annual fee, and offers 0% introductory interest rates on purchases as well as balance transfers and some decent rewards. Does that make it worth getting? (Sorry I’m asking a lot of questions, but hopefully this pro/con list will help you answer them). Pros - Card made from biodegradable material: Will break down naturally over 5 years spent in landfill conditions and does not pass any toxins into the environment. - 0% intro period. - Rotating 5% cash back spending categories. Cons - Only getting 0% for 6 months. - Having to sign up quarterly for the 5% cash back rewards. - 20% off when shopping through Discover Online (in the sense that people will look to take advantage of this despite the fact that prices will likely be high to begin with). Overall, the Discover More Biodegradeable Card is a cute gimmick, but is not going to make its way into my wallet. You can get longer 0% intro terms with cards like the Citi Diamond Preferred, Simplicit and Platinum Select as well as the No Balance Transfer Fee Slate Card. You can get better ongoing rewards than what the Biodegradable More Card offers from the likes of the Capital One Venture Card and the Blue Cash Preferred from Amex. You can get a lucrative initial bonus, which the Biodegradable More Credit Card does not offer, with the Chase Sapphire Preferred. In the end, there will just be so many better cards out there to warrant applying for the Biodegradeable More Card. Just get one of them and look into environmentally healthy ways to dispose of them down the road.
