    Why is there a foreign transaction fee added to my Cabelas credit card for my charges in Canada? What is the fee for? My other Visa card does not have such charges.

    Hi Rhonda - According to Card Hub data, around 90% of all credit cards have a foreign transaction fee and the Cabelas Credit Card is no exception with a 1% foreign fee, which is on the low side since most credit cards have a 3% fee. Nevertheless, the best approach is to use a No Foreign Transaction Fee Credit Card when traveling abroad so that you can avoid all of these fees.
