I have had a Capital One Reward card for a long time. I have loved that card since I got it. I originally got it when I was trying to rebuild my credit score and they were fair with the limit and the interest, I felt. There were times that it came in very handy and the easy to use website to make payments and check the balance is great! What made the card even better, was that I was able to get the cash rewards on the money I spent. Eventually the limit increased and the interest became more reasonable. I have never had a problem with it and will continue to use it.

There is a reason why I have this card. There a tiny amount of companies that will let someone have a credit card with very little credit score or a credit score at all, but this is one of them. I had the chance to build up my credit history with this card when I had a $250 limit. Although that does not seem like a lot, building up that amount of credit that I have is something I will never be able to pay back to them. They have pretty high interest rates, but since the limit is so low you don't really have to worry about paying off the full bill every month. I have never had a single problem with this card, although if you do have a problem I am sure it would be solved immediately. It is very nice to build up your credit history with this card if you have none. Give it a try!

I've had this card for the past few years. It's the first card I've ever had and it's extremely useful as a student. Before this card, I had no credit history. I was so sure that I would be denied, but instead they gave me this card, no strings attached. Now, I use it for everything- on and off campus. From expensive coffee drinks to help me cram to the books I need to even pass, this card covers it all. And since I'm quick to pay it off, it helps build my meager credit score. I love this card.

I've had this credit card for about ten years now, and I have never had a problem. It's actually the only credit card I've ever had. I got it as my very first card, and used it to build up a credit history. It started out with a $200 limit, and now it has increased to several thousand as a result of good payment and money management habits. I especially like using the website for making my payments and checking over my transactions. It makes it really easy for me to stay on top of everything. Of course, the rewards are great too – it's nice to get a little check in the mail every so often!

This is a popular credit card for a reason. Very few card companies are willing to give people with a "fair" or no credit rating a chance. I got this card a few years ago with $300 limit, and have built up a history with them and the card now has a 2,500 limit. But in my opinion, the best thing about the card (other than the rewards) is the security. I have never had a problem with this card when travelling, and the one time my card was used fraudulently, they recognized it immediately, notified me and took care of everything. Very impressive. Another time, a company wasn’t giving me the refund I deserved, I submitted a chargeback through Capital One and it was approved the next day, no questions asked. It’s very nice in this day and age to have a company like this on your side.

This was my first card. I've been vigorously avoiding the credit scene since reaching adulthood, believing that if I didn't have the money for a purchase, I didn't need it. However, in the past few years my thinking on this subject changed. I does make a difference, shopping online feels much safer. A few years ago my debit card number was apparently stolen and used to make purchases on several sites online. Getting it corrected was a horror story. Last year, my Capital One card had the same issue. This time, however, I didn't discover it by looking over my statements, Capital One actually contacted me to let me know there was some suspected fraudulent activity going on. The process of identifying and correcting the charges that were made was quick and painless. I'm sold. As we move into the future, the internet is going to become a greater force in our lives. This card will help protect me.

Like other people are saying, this was my first credit card. I gave them a shot because of the alluring title, good interest rate, and fair terms to someone looking to build up credit from scratch (I had zero credit before I opened up this card). For this reason, I have been able to build up my credit in a pretty painless way and not worry too badly about hidden fees and scary things that come along with credit cards sometimes. I would recommend this card to someone who is in the same position as me, looking to start their credit building with a good card with a good reputation that they can trust.

I got this card roughly three years ago. The card was my first credit card. The process to get the card was very quick and simple. I got a form in the mail. I filled the form out and sent it back to Capital One. Within a few weeks I had the card in my hands. I never had a credit card so I kept it just to use in case of an emergency. After having a few emergencies in which I used the card and paid off the balance I decided to use the card more often and set up an online account with my card. On my online account I am able to few my purchases and pay my bill. The card even offers points with every dollar spent that you can use towards prizes or items. I haven't redeemed my yet but I am still saving them. All in all this a great card for a first time user.

I have had the Capital One card for something like 10 years now. Twice my card had fraudulent charges on it. Both were caught right away and we were able to resolve the issue. I'm glad they were able to catch it right away but I was without my card for 2 weeks until they mailed me a new card. Several times my card was declined. When I would call Capital One they said it was because they put a hold on my card if I used it in a different city or bought something online. I can appreciate that but it seems silly when people were able to use it twice when they didn't even have my card. Also, no one speaks English when you call. There is always a language barrier when you call. On a positive note, they were willing to give me a credit card when I have poor credit. They really helped me rebuild my credit and I was able to get other loans and credit cards. They are a good card to have if you are trying to get your credit score back up to a good number.

I got this credit card when I had absolutely no credit. I thought that I would still be denied, but to my surprise I was approved. I still have this credit card and I still use it on an almost daily basis. The cash back is just a great incentive to get this card. It is a great way to save money. The APR is low for people that have little, or no, credit. The Capital One staff are always there to answer all of my questions. They are friendly and knowledgeable and are easy to understand when they explain things to me. Since I have got this credit card, I have built my credit up a lot. So, if you have little to no credit, I would highly recommend getting this credit card.

This is a card for newcomers, and that was what I was when I got the piece of mail asking me if I wanted to apply for it. I did so, because though I generally do not like putting myself in any kind of debt, there was no reason not to give it a shot and try to construct a foundation for my credit. I use it smartly so that I do not get into trouble, and I make every effort to pay off my balance in full as soon as possible. Thankfully, Capital One makes it easy to do this on a whim and the times I have actually had to call for service or problems, I have an easier time dealing with them than with almost any other service I use which periodically requires my contacting them for assistance. I'll dump this for a better card when I'm ready but Capital One has done a good job making me want to go back to them when my credit levels up enough to do so.

I use the capitol one credit card and I really like it. It offers me several different offers that are quick and easy. I also like the text message alerts that it offers me. It is an easy way to keep track of my spending and works for my busy life. I use my card a lot for purchasing things for my horses and it help me to keep track of spending so that I can see how much I spend each month and to plan for the next month. Their payment options are easy to use and their customer service is great. I can call at anytime and talk to someone without having to sit on hold for 15 min to get a real person. The other thing I like about them is that I can talk to someone who can speak english without a heavy accent and that makes it easier to understand and work with on issues. When I did have to have my card replaced I did not go through a large hassle trying to explain what had happened they were great about getting it taken care of in a quick and easy manner.

I had kind of bad credit for a time, and I needed to start taking steps towards improving it. I decided that getting an easy, basic card that I knew I would be able to pay off on time was the best way to start, and so I applied for a Capital One card, not knowing whether I would actually get it or not. I was genuinely surprised when I was actually approved. What I probably appreciated most (especially since I am in no way financially/mathematically gifted and most credit card agreements sound like a foreign language to me) was how the Capital One people I talked to went to great lengths to make sure I understood what I was signing on for. Well, my credit is getting better, and I haven't missed a payment yet, so I'd say I'm pretty satisfied. I'll be keeping my CapOne card around for a while, and I would recommend it to anyone I knew who was looking to sign up for a new card.

I have had my capital one card for about a year now. I didn't know if I would be approved or not because I don't have the very best credit. I called the 800 number to speak with a representative to see what was available. The associate that I spoke with was very friendly, informative, and patient with me. I decided to apply for a rewards card and was APPROVED! I have made sure to make all payments on time and have been rewarded with better credit! My card was stolen about 6 months ago. I called Capital One to report the card as stolen and, again, the representative that I spoke with was very helpful and patient. My card was immediately canceled and I received my new card very quickly. They also offered further assistance and asked me to please call back if I had any other problems. I have since had my husband apply and would gladly recommend Capital One to anyone!

I didn't exactly have any credit history, and I always had great experiences when using Capital One, so I figured I'd go ahead and try this one to help build some credit. The application process was swift, easy, and everything was explained to me very clearly. Ups, downs, fees, any limitations and all information was conveyed to me by my local Capital One branch, and they made -sure- that I understood everything about the card before my decision. I enjoy this card, I'm a new holder, but so far, it's been great. No problems whatsoever. The reward points are great, the online features are great. I highly, highly recommend this card for anyone who is new, or old, it's just all-around wonderful.

I applied for my Capital One Visa card about nine years ago and they were the first company that approved me for credit. During these nine years I have been very satisfied with the rewards program, the customer service, and the balance transfer offers which have really helped during the recent recession. I use my Capital One card for virtually all of my purchases and this helps me build reward points. Aside from that, my online account allows me to sort my purchases by category making it very easy to track my spending and make budgets for myself. Whether you’re a seasoned credit card holder or just a newcomer Capital One has little something for everyone. You will not be disappointed.

Like most people these days, there was a time when my credit score wasn't just bad, it was absolutely terrible. I'd heard that to get it back up again the best thing to consider was getting a couple of the "entry level" cards like this one which (assuming you keep up the payments and use it sensibly) will get good reports sent to the credit bureaus. My credit wasn't totally basement level but wasn't high either but I did get accepted and had a good credit limit. There was no fee to pay to get it either. One word of warning - the interest rate is astronomical so it's probably best avoided if you don't think you'll be able to make the payments. If you do though, your credit score will definitely improve over time.

The Capital One Cash Rewards for Newcomers is easily the best card I’ve ever owned. It was the best one available for my decent but not fantastic credit score. The big plus for me is that there is no annual fee and for someone that wasn’t making much money starting out, that is huge. My main beginning use of this card was to simply build my credit up and earn rewards as I did so. That is exactly what happened. I’ve never had any issues with my card and I pay the balance off every single month. I’ve never been charged a late fee for any kind of payment. Now that my credit is much better because of this card, I can probably move on to bigger and better things, but I just haven’t done it yet. I’ve had too big of a relationship with this credit card to just let it go and it’s helped me out tremendously over time. I know the day will come when we part ways, but for now I’m not giving it up.

Capital One Cash Rewards was the first credit card I've ever owned (I know, I was late coming into the game). So while my experience with credit cards is very slim, I know that I'm satisfied with this one. I only use it for small items to help improve my credit, but I've never had any problems paying my bill, and I think the interest rate seems pretty fair in comparison with other cards (a little high, but I've kept it under control). I've noticed that their customer service is outsourced, but the representatives always seemed friendly and tried to be helpful, and didn't mind if I had to ask them to repeat something I didn't understand. So far, I have no complaints.

I have never had problems with my Capital One Credit cards. I wanted to start building my credit when I entered college. The only major problems I have had are with customer service and fees piling up when I spent too much money. I will admit that the customer service was pretty bad. The calls are outsourced to an Asian company, and I had a hard time communicating clearly during many service calls. And do not let fees pile up! No matter what card you use I am sure this is the case. :)

I received an offer in the mail on this card some time ago. I wasn't new to the US but they sent it to me anyway. I chose to take it as a back up because it didn’t have an annual fee and it would be good security to have another card in my wallet. The interest rate is high so I have to be careful with it, fees can really add up. The customer service is outsourced to India but they are ok. If you are just starting out with credit or recovering from bad credit, I guess this is a recommended card. Be careful not to run a high balance and pay on time otherwise you will accumulate lots of fees.

I got this Capital One credit card when I was still in school. It was my first credit card. At first, I didn't use it a whole lot, except for paying my cell phone bill and a tank of gas once in a while, so I could start to build my credit. I didn't really understand the rewards system at first. Since I wasn't using my card a lot, it didn't seem worth it to me. Once I started using my credit card more, I was able to get a lot more out of it. I've never had any problems with this card or the service. For a credit card "newbie," I'd highly suggest this one.

This Capital One card was the first that I got, and I used it while in college. It was nice, because I had a relatively low limit, which prevented me from over spending. This helped me to build my credit to a relatively respectable level and then my limit was increased. This is an awesome card for someone who has never had a credit card before and is just plunging into the real world. Additionally, my experience with the customer service department has been second to none. I had a potential issue with my identity being stolen and it was quickly resolved and ended up causing me no problems.

Capital One allowed my son to establish his credit and start out with a solid foundation for building his credit history. They started him out with a limited credit amount (can't remember exactly how much it was, I want to say 300.00 but not positive) and not long after he was able to increase it by making regular payments, on time. Customer service was extremely helpful and polite anytime he contacted them (I know it was a few, not for any big problems though) I would recommend them to anyone looking to establish first time credit. They're great to deal with and we've never had any problems with them at all!

This credit card allowed me to get my start in building credit and building by life as a young adult. My limit started at around $600 and within a 6 month time period my limit had increases about $250! I really do enjoy the ease of this card and I feel that, as a newbie to the whole credit card world, I can understand the terms and conditions with no hesitation. Whenever I have a concern about my ability to pay at the scheduled date, Capital One is ready to help me by making an adjustment to the payment date. Capital One has been so fair and flexible with me and have trusted me with my payments. I am truly pleased and am looking forward to getting started with their "big girl" cards in the future.

Capital One gave me the chance to establish my credit by approving me for a Capital One Cash Rewards card. Initially I was given a $500 limit and after six months was increased to $750. I have nothing but great things to say about Capital One. They are very friendly and will do whatever they can to help. I have had to ask them to adjust my due date for when I got my paycheck and they did it for me. I have online access where I can see all of my charges and make sure that they are completely accurate. I recently earned $37 in cash rewards and was able to apply it to my current balance. There was no other credit card companies who I applied with that were willing to give me a chance and now after two years with Capital One I have established my credit and have proof of a perfect payment history. I am now able to finance my first home and am very great full for the opportunity that Capital One gave me to work with them. Thank you so much Capital One.

I have had my Capital One card for 10 years. I have never had any problems with my account and customer service has always been very helpful and courteous. One time I got a call from them asking me when was the last time I had used my card? Someone in Paris France was trying to charge on my account. I was very glad that they watch my transactions so carefully and they took care of all the charges and sent me a new card and number quickly. Since I didn't use that particular card very often , if they hadn't been so eager to watch out for suspicious activity , I might have had a huge problem. Thanks Capital One.

I just recently signed up for and received the Capitol One cash rewards card and so far I love it. To be quite honest I never really liked the idea of credit cards because I would always here about cases of fraud and credit card numbers being stolen. That being said I decided to start with a lower credit line (just in case). So far I am pleased to report that I have been using the card for a a little over a year and I have never had any issues. The only time I needed to contact customer service was to activate the card. They were very kind, courteous, and had my card activated within a few minutes. I think its safe to say that I use my card on a daily basis and I definitely prefer it over carrying cash.

This was my very first card I had signed up for. It was a starter card to me, but I mainly used it to help with my college books as I didn't get financial aid for first term. The card was pretty good to start my credit line out. Capital One is a good brand and no one typically rejects the card unless you are over limit, which never happened to me. I did have to call customer service to activate the card as I was having problems with activation, but we got it all sorted out within 20 minutes. I do recall using cash advance feature one time, but it was only due to choosing a restaurant that for some reason didn't allow credit cards. I would highly recommend this card to anyone that needs a starter card.

The Capital One® Cash Rewards for Newcomers was the first card that I got when I turned 18. I have used it ever since, however not so recently. It is a good card to start with. It is your basic type of credit card. The rewards are OK, not the best I have experienced. The rates and fees are pretty much average, maybe a little higher than average. Late fees can pile on if you are not on time with it, so be careful with that. But all in all I would recommend someone just starting out building credit to get this card and use it.
