The Capital One No Hassle Cash Rewards Credit Card should be a name you know if you are relatively new to credit card use. Why? Oh, it’s just one of the best credit cards for people with fair or limited credit. It might not seem like it given the fact that the No Hassle Cash Rewards Card only offers 2% cash back on gas and groceries and 1% on everything else, but when you consider that newcomers haven’t really proven to credit card companies that they merit better rewards and the fact that gas and groceries are some very key spending categories, then it becomes obvious that this really is a good offer. The Capital One No Hassle Cash Rewards Credit Card also offers 0% on purchases for 8 months, which means that if you get it, you won’t have to worry about finance charges on big-ticket purchases for awhile and could even leave your would be credit card payments in the bank so that you earn rewards and the good kind of interest for 8 months (don’t forget to make minimum payments though). The No Hassle Cash Rewards Card obviously isn’t the only good fair/limited credit credit card though. The Capital One Cash Rewards for Newcomers is pretty good as well since it offers 2% cash back on travel and 1% cash back on everything else. It doesn’t have a 0% intro rate like the Capital One No Hassle Cash Rewards Card, but it will likely be more lucrative for people who are new to credit card use who stay in hotels or fly a lot. Finally, if you are a student you would be better served checking out student credit cards than the Capital One No Hassle Cash Rewards offer.

If anyone wants to open a account I recommend, DO NOT! I opened an account with them 4 years ago, and at first they where not bad, then they raised my apr from 10.9% to 17.9%(my account was in good standing). So I asked them what was the reason and they told me they where doing it to everyone. Then the representative told me he could do an apr of 13.9% for the time being(As a favor for being a good customer). I asked him what I can do to make it lower the apr for my account. He told me what to do, when I made all the changes as he told me. I called them back and they told me they cant to anything for me for 24 months............ To make this story short, no matter how good you are as a customer for them they will still do anything and everything they want! They will only bring your apr up and not down, no matter how good you are with the account! So to anyone that reads this, don't open this credit card! They will only screw you in the end!

Unfortunately ALL major credit card companies used to increase consumers interest rates no matter how responsible cardholders where. This was just standard practice. Thanks to the new credit card law (CARD Act) credit card companies can no longer increase the interest rate on the existing balance of a general consumer credit card unless the cardholder becomes 60 days past due (in other words misses 3 payments in a row).
