How is my monthly balance due calculated? If I use my $300 credit limit, how much will my monthly dues be approximately? If I pay off the amount I used in full will I continue to have monthly dues? I'm more

If your balance is less than $25, your required minimum monthly payment will be equal to your balance. That means if you don't have a balance, you will not be responsible for making a payment. If your balance is above $25, your minimum payment will be the greater of $25 or 1% of your balance, plus fees and interest. So the minimum payment on a $300 balance would be $25, assuming you enter the month without any unpaid fees.

You only need to pay the minimum amount by your due date to qualify as having paid on time, and thus avoid both late fees and potential credit score damage. However, you more

It’s simply one of the best credit cards for newcomers. No, it doesn’t offer rewards or low starter financing rates. Instead, the Capital One Platinum Card rewards you with a far more valuable commodity: the opportunity to improve your credit standing without spending a dime.

It’s catered to people with limited credit, which means you have a good chance of getting approved even if you’re just beginning your credit career, and it doesn’t charge an annual fee. So whether you make purchases with this card and always pay your entire balance by the due date or decide to just keep it in a drawer for emergency purposes, your credit reports more

I recently applied for the Capital:One Card and I was so shocked when I was approved. I had the worst credit score the past 3 years and I just thought I would give them a shot. i was approved for 1000 bucks and no annual fee. I get a cash advance of 500 with a very low rate. I am just so happy that i get to build up my credit again with the card!

My credit card expired now capital one is saying I have to reapply. My account has been paid off with an overage on my balance. What do I do? I'm buying a house and don't want to rerun my credit.

I got this card a few years ago and so far it's been good. The interest rate is pretty standard considering I got this card when my credit wasn't all that good. The great thing is that every so often, maybe once or twice a year I can get my credit limit raised. My credit limit started at $500 and now it's $950 because I have been consistent with my payments. Overall I am satisfied with this card. I'll probably keep using it for now and eventually try to get a card with a better interest rate.

The intrest rate is not too bad considering that I usually pay off the balances right away. I never had any issues with billing until lately. The only issues that I had was the slow fraud resolution process. It took 2 weeks to get a letter and I am still in the process of getting it fixed. The call centers are not user friendly and because of that I chose to close the account. The operator did not understand the difference between my account and the credit buearu.

The interest rate is a little high, but overall it is a good card. It's perfect for building or rebuilding credit. The customer service is good with Capital One and the card is accepted widely.

I transferred my high balance from another credit card to the Capital One® Platinum Credit Card. Previously, I was paying a 19% interest rate. Knowing that I was spending a fortune in fees and wanting to get my $4000 balance paid off as quickly as possible, I transferred all charges, knowing there would be only a 3% transfer fee on that charge. I can take up to 18 months to pay off this credit card without worrying about interest all of that time. I also have 18 months to pay off this credit card with 0% interest each month.

Overall I would say my experience is very positive. They offer a credit rating for free, the terms and interest are good, and I once had an attempted theft that they caught before I even knew it happened. Great service.

I was in the market for a card that would help me rebuild my credit. I looked for a few days until I stumbled onto this card. It isn't the best, but it does get the job done. It has already helped improve my credit score tremulously. One of the best features of this card is the incremental credit increase when the user pays his or her bill on time.

i gave this four stars because of the APR that it is a little higher of what i am used to. however, they did give me a year with 0% APR and at the same time free balance transfer, i did not use the balance transfer option, but did use the card. also, was able to pay it off before the year, so i had no interest charged. i believe that they are a good bank, and seemed easy to deal with, but i did not have any issues, so i am unsure whether they are good at problem resolution. another thing that i like is that they have may more

This is a good card for getting your credit back up to speed. I got this card when my credit had taken a huge hit due to a divorce, but by using this card a little bit each month I was able to get a higher limit after 6 months as well as open up additional Capital One credit cards including one with rewards.
The interest rate on this card is pretty high, but as long as you only use it for a few manageable purchases each month and pay it off in full the interest rate is not an issue.
The fact that there is no annual fee was also more

I have been using this card for awhile and while it admittedly isn't the best credit card it is good for me as I have really, really bad credit and can use this sparingly to increase it. You will get a lot of fees if you don't use it carefully and keep track of your purchases but I haven't had issues with it yet.

This was one of my first credit cards. The lack of annual fee was nice. My credit limit wasn't terribly high but this was just a starter card for me. Watch out for the APR. They can really catch you there. The card website was easy to use and they would flag my card for any activity they found weird. That was helpful when someone cloned my card and bought $800 plane tickets.

The Capital One Platinum was my card of choice when I was beginning to build my credit. The rewards program isn't great and it's not the most accommodating card when it comes to APR, but the lack of annual fee and leeway when it comes to paying the bill is great.

I have a Capital One Platinum MasterCard that I received as part of the Credit Steps Program. They issued me an unsecured card with a $500 limit even though my credit is not in great shape. The best part is that in addition to helping me rebuild my credit, I will receive an automatic credit limit increase after making the first 5 payments on time. They gave me zero percent interest for the first 7 months, and the payments are low so they are easy to manage.

I received a Capital One Platinum MasterCard June 2015. My limit is $300. I am on the Credit Steps Program, which means you can get a credit limit increase after making your 1st 5 monthly payments on time. I have used the card several times during the short time I have had it. I make sure I pay it off immediately, or make more than the minimum due. I am in the process of trying to rebuild my credit. I have had this card for one month, and Capital One has already reported my credit limit, and payment history to the credit bureaus. My credit score went up 3 points more

I have a Platinum Master Card with Capital One since 2009. My credit limit has always been increased and fit my overall credit score. When I am a few days late, I just call and make sure they have the info so I do not have to pay any fee. In the same manner, if I am going to be over the limit, or if I made a mistake and I am, if I call them and let them know, they do not apply any extra fees.

I have had the Capital One Platinum Card for a few years now. This card is great for a first credit card, as I was accepted without any substantial credit history. I started off with a credit limit of $500, and over the years I have been able to increase that to $4000. The APR on this card is high compared to other cards, so I don't usually carry a balance on it. The card also offers no rewards which is the main downside for me. The lack of rewards really stands out as a big negative when you compare it to a Citi Double Cash card or even to more

Having held this card for a few years, I don't have too many complaints. They have been very fair with my rates and payments. My only issue has been that it took about 4 months for them to decide on my payment date change. Otherwise, this is a very good, basic card.

Refused in critical situation to increase credit limit to cover expenses while my main credit card was in process of being replaced by my bank. Customer support puts you on hold forever for every little thing like online password reset. Cardboard treatment for platinum status!

I'm absolutely devoted to Capital One. They extended a credit card offer to me, when others wouldn't. I have rebuilt my credit portfolio and my credit score has increase over 100 points. I have never had one bad experience with customer service, they are always friendly, professional and very knowledgeable about their products. There are various interest rates depending on the credit card and most importantly, your credit worthiness. I started off with a higher interest rate on my a platinum card, but a low interest rate for my Venture one card. I have gotten CLI on all of my cards when ever I have submitted a request. I pay more

I have been a Capital One card holder for years. Many have had plenty bad to say about Capital One, but I have nothing but good experiences with them. The customer service has always been great. In fact I contacted them today, they were very helpful to my situation and understanding.

The Capital One Platinum credit card has a really low annual fee for a Platinum card, but there are no rewards of any kind associated with the card. That is is a big negative for me especially when there are so many other cards out there offering as much as 2% back. I like that there are no foreign transaction fees because I travel out of the country frequently. Although I don't normally carry a balance on my cards, the APR is extremely high, even for a credit card! I would not recommend this card.

I have always had the best service with Capital One. Someone used my card fraudulently and not only did they alert me that the charges seemed weird but it only took one phone call to take care of it. They also offer a reduced rate for military of 4% while overseas. I have always had great customer service when needing to contact them for anything. I would recommend this card.

This platinum card looks like a pretty standard offering from Capital One. The interest rate being above 24% would deter me from carrying any kind of balance on this account. However, the fact that is does not offer rewards is the main downside for me. I prefer cards that offer cash-back as well as addition perks like no foreign transaction fees or concierge service. For someone looking to establish or repair their credit, this card may be an acceptable option.

I have gotten this credit card when I first came to America to build a credit report. The card was super easy to get. I have never had problems with this company. In fact, I enjoy working with Capital One. What's really cool is, once your first card expires, you can order a new one with any picture you want on it! The APR is kind of high, but, it's because you don't have a credit history yet. They report super quickly. Every month. If you get this card, you'll get a credit score fast! It'll help you out a lot! I really suggest it if you have no credit more

I have been a card member since 2006 until current. Got approved after buying my first house. My credit limit was $750 at the time. It's great to be able to withdraw cash at a low rate if I need too. The annual fee is reasonable and is taken out of your credit limit. Since, I have fallen on hard times and this credit card company worked with me to get my credit card current and in good standing. My card was two months behind at the time and the late fees were reasonable. The best thing about this credit card company is that after bringing my card back current more

I first signed up for this credit card when I had just turned 18. It was my first credit card and was going to help me with my credit score. My credit limit on it was $300 to begin with and in only a year it was raised to $500. I have not had to deal with any yearly fees and I always pay my bills on time so the APR is not a problem along with the late fees. I have had to talk with customer service a couple times due to forgetting my password and every single time I have had a great experience with customer service representatives: more

The Capital One Platinum Card was my first credit card. I applied for it when I started college, when I had no credit history, and I think my starting credit limit was $500. That was over 10 years ago, and now my credit limit on this card is $3000. The APR is fairly high, but it's not an issue for me because I've always paid the balance on time. This page says that there is an annual fee of $19, but I've never had to pay an annual fee. Maybe this was added after I started using the card. This is a no-frills card with no rewards or cash back.

My Capital One Platinum card has sort of been a starter card for me, I applied and got approved for a $1500 credit limit. Over the last couple years the limit has gradually increased up to $3000, the percentage rate is somewhat high but does not really bother me due to the fact that I pay it off every month. I have enjoyed using the cashback feature to purchase gift cards to either purchase gift cards for restaurants around my area or get myself things from Amazon. I would definitely recommend this card for someone starting out with new credit.

The Capital One Platinum credit card is a great card with a good balance to help you restore your line of credit and credit score. The Help Center was extremely friendly and helpful when I had to call to change my address on file. They boosted my credit limit within 6 months of paying on time. I could not ask for a better experience working with Capital One. Another added bonus is the website is very easy to use and is fast to load, making it easier to change any information or pay online.

Wonderful experience over the past half year with this card. Although there are no rewards with it, they have always reported accurately to the credit reporting agencies and the website is easy to use. I have always loved Capital One. Years ago I was between jobs and low on savings, I called them and we worked through it on my car payments. What else can you say, I am grateful! Their customer service on the Platinum card is wonderful as well. I've never had any issues when calling them up and they are very nice. They even boosted my credit limit an extra $2000 without me having to call them, more

If you have bad credit, the Capital One Platinum Credit Card is a decent card to get back on your feet. But if you have decent to good credit, you're better off with many other options. There are options that have rewards programs, no annual fee, and better APR. The Citi Double Cash card, for example, has all three of those benefits. If you're starting out or if you have bad credit, the Capital One Platinum Credit Card is an OK card to re-establish yourself, but otherwise you're leaving money on the table by paying an annual fee and not having a rewards program.

This card helps me achieve whatever I couldn't do with other bank cards. The capital one card is good for people with bad credit like me. I have bad credit and no other bank would let me apply a credit card. Also this card has a very fluent credit line which helps when you are making hefty purchases but don't have cash. Overall I love this card!

I applied for the capital one platinum and got a quick approval with a high balance. I was so excited the more I used the card because the company is always doing new things to make the service better. They have an amazing call line for basically any problem that I have. They also have a rewards incentive for good credit and this makes the consumer do better and really know where they stand with the service company. The interest is average compared to other cards and I would choose capital one over all the others out there.

The credit card was very easy to get the company got my payment which came from my bank information with no problems. Every thing was fine for the first month but when I tried to make a payment online the website would not except my bank information so I had to call the customer service and they excepted the payment. After couple of days I get the letter form my credit card company saying that my bank information was not exepted. So I had to call the customer services again and speak to the manage who told me I would have to go to the bank to get the authorization more
