I have had this card for a few months now, and so far I have no complaints... and even though I have a low income, I still received a pretty good credit limit ($1000).

I've had this card for almost a year and half now and I've had no qualms about it the whole time. I mostly use it for when I make some out of town expenses because of work. With the interest rate of $19, it isn't that much compared to two of my other credit cards. My monthly payment is also very reasonable and I am able to pay it on time. I had a problem with it once regarding an identity theft and their customer service was very prompt in updating me about the transaction and was able to resolve the problem within a day. Compared to the other two more

I liked this card initially. I always paid my balance on time and the interest rate was good because this was my first credit card. The actual card is very great especially for those trying to establish more credit history. The reason why my rating is 3 stars is because of the experience with capital one customer service. I understand the need to outsource some business but sometimes it is helpful when I am able to speak with a representative's native language is English. It makes handling problems a lot easier.

I do not like that there is a $19 annual fee after the first year and there are no rewards. There are many other cards without an annual fee that do offer rewards.

I have had my capital one platinum visa for almost 2 years now. It was my first credit card, and I could not be more pleased. With no annual fee, and low interest rates, it has made my experience as a card holder thoroughly enjoyable. After one year my credit limit was increased because I had just good standing my first year. That was a treat! Also, you can design your own card, using one of their designs or a picture of your own...for free! How awesome to have that personalization on something you use so often! Definitely happy with my choice of using capital one as my credit card!

I love my Capital One card. The payments are very low and they are very generous with credit line increases. Their customer service is awesome as well! They have helped boost my credit score quickly.

I like my Capital One card because the monthly payment is reasonable. I have been given credit limit increases twice since I have owned the card. I was trying to reestablish my credit and this card has helped me do that. The website is easy to use and that's a plus for me.

The Capital One Platinum card is a great option for folks looking to increase their credit score. Interest rates are higher than most cards, however this comes with several benefits. For example, paying bills on time for six months strait will result in Capital One increasing your credit score. Each monthly statement also includes your credit score, and the website is excellent. All in all this a great card for those looking to build credit.

I got this card a couple of years ago and I have really enjoyed it. The interest rates are high but my credit isn't the best so this card works for me. I use this card every month of different purchases. I usually try to use the card for gas and then just pay it off at the end of the month. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a first time credit card.

I was rebuilding my credit and this card is perfect for that purpose. They will automatically increase your line of credit if you successfully pay your bill on time for 6 months, another good thing that helps increase your credit score if you use the card properly. There are better deals out there for those with higher credit scores, but to those rebuilding this is a solid option.

I received an offer in the mail from Capital One. I put it off for so long since I feared the interest rates as well as missing any payment. I am so glad and grateful since Capital One Platinum credit card helped improve my credit score and saved me in times of dire need since I was in college. I strongly believe that they conduct their business in the best way possible as far as customer service. I really like the layout and usability of the Capital One website. I love their various card designs too.

My biggest problem with this card is the lack of any kind of rewards program. Although there is no annual fee for the first year, this would just create the incentive to use the card for a year and cancel it afterward. It seems even more ridiculous to charge an annual fee for mid-range credit score users and STILL not offer any rewards program. The interest rate also seems fairly high.

I love this card and was extremely thankful I received it, I didn't think I would. It's helped me with my credit score and I loved that for the first year I wasn't charged interest on my purchases. Also, after a few months of making on time payments, they increased my credit limit just like they said they would. A bonus for me, well two bonuses, is the free credit score they give you and the fact that you can upload your own image for the card, I've always loved being able to do that with just my checkcard so it was nice to be able to do it with more

The Capital One Platinum Credit Card is overrated in my opinion. Yes there is no annual fee for the first year, but that is only incentive to have this card for one year and cancel after that. There are plenty of credit cards through other companies, Chase for example, that offer cards similar to this without a yearly fee and a little bit lower of an interest rate. I personally had two Capital one cards at one point, both with a yearly fee of $39, both of which got cancelled because of that fact. Another downside to this card is that it doesn't offer any sort of rewards program. Not more

The Capital One Platinum Card is a great entry card that has some decent features. For starters there is a no annual fee for the first year, that way you can hit the ground running. I also really like the fact that you can choose when you monthly payment is due, it really helps so I can position it around other bills. The only real downside to this card is that there is not rewards programs as the other reviewers have said but to be honest it's not that much of a deal breaker.

The Capital One Platinum Credit Card offers decent features, although nothing outstanding. The no fee first year is nice, although the interest rate is high, especially given the very low federal rates we currently have. It would also be nice if it offered a rewards program. That being said, it is good that they offer increased limits as time progresses and that there are multiple ways to pay your bill. Being able to set your own due date is also a handy feature.

Great customer service. Higher interest. Low annual fee after the first year. My husband and I had two cards to build credit after bankruptcy. Great increase for first year. After first year, was able to get a no-fee card from capital one. They were wonderful in offering this change as our credit scores increased.

This card was great when I first started out and was looking to build my credit, but after a few years an interest rate of 24% and no rewards I only keep it because they did increase my credit limit and its good to have in case of emergencies. It's a great card to start out with as its one of the few unsecured cards out there that will take people with no credit history as long as you pay it off before the interest accrues.

I've never had a credit card before but, so far, I have nothing negative to say about this one. They start you off with a low credit limit of $300 and promise to increase it after five on time payments. For someone with poor credit looking to build their credit, it is a good option. The only down sides are the interest rate which is 22.9%. That's lower than some cards, I suppose, and it doesn't have an annual fee. There aren't any rewards programs with this card. I do love that they have easily accessible mobile banking and that I didn't have to wait too long for the card more

The Capital One Platinum Credit Card is... it's okay. The card doesn't offer rewards which is a big letdown for a credit card. Also the APR% is 24%, going up to 29% when late. Come on, at least tack some rewards on there for us or else people are just going to not use the Capital One Platinum Credit Card at all, and choose another card. There aren't too many other good bonuses with this card, but I can say that Capital One does keep my information safe and sound, all the time through everything that's been going on with Target and Heartbleed.

I used this card to pay down some of my debt. I liked that I could pick my due date, that helps when your trying to make sure everything gets paid in a timely fashion. I like that I got to personalize my card online, my daughter loves the design. The customer service has been great whenever I have called it, and the app is handy. An overall good card that I would recommend, my only gripe is the annual fee after the first year. I've never been a fan of those.

I really like this credit card! Now, I know that it doesn't offer any rewards and it doesn't really have "impressive" features, but it offers me all I need in a credit card! I would absolutely recommend it as a first or starting credit card. It offers a 25 day grace period which is slightly longer than most cards and you can personalize it online for free with your favorite picture.

I have had my Capital 1 Platinum card for a couple of years, and it's a pretty decent card for the most part. The interest rate is a little higher than some of my other credit cards, but it wasn't as hard to get either. The customer service and convenience this card offers is very good. This is a great card for someone who's trying to establish credit.

I've had the Capital One Platinum card for years. I had no trouble adding my husband to the account after we were married. I've had the card for so long, the yearly fee back then was $25. I used to call them every year to ask for the fee to be waived, which they did do. After several years of doing that, one customer service person finally said they would attach a permanent note to my account, waiving the fee indefinitely. Nice benefit! I've never had the card be denied anywhere. And...just recently, I uploaded a favorite picture of my dog to be put on the card! That's a real more

The Capital One Platinum card is hit and miss with me but for the most part it's a good card. I appreciate the fact that you can get this card even if your credit is a little rough around the edges. It's pretty customer friendly with roadside assistance, insurance etc. I wish it offered more in the way of rewards, and the interest rate is really high considering the utter lack of frills. But if you're just looking for a basic credit card, you could do a lot worse. If you would like a similar deal with more rewards, the Capital One Quicksilver Rewards card has similar rates but also more

Capital One generally offers good credit cards but this card has a couple features which I do not like. The 24.9% interest rate is very high and after the 1st yr there is a $19 annual fee. On the plus side, the Capital One Platinum card is available to people who may not be able to get a card anywhere else. Compared to the annual fee on the Citibank card I used to have, this card is very reasonable. I would recommend the card as long as you use it responsibly and pay it off each month.

It's a good card, regardless of the fact there aren't any points or extra benefits. It's my first credit card so I'm glad I was approved at all. I have fair credit but not much of a credit history and I had been rejected for one other card. This card only gets a 3 out of 5 because there aren't any extras and my credit limit is super low ($300) and that is irritating even though I don't need more. It's a good card for those trying to build credit but I plan on getting rid of it whenever I can get something better.

I know that the Capital One Platinum Credit Card doesn't have that many features, but it has been good to me. I got this card when I had a limited credit history, and was offered a limit of $750.00 and an interest rate of 24.9%. Not the best interest rate out there, but also not the worst. I tend to carry a low balance so the interest doesn't bother me much. They have always worked with me, whenever I have had an issue. For example, there were a few times when the website wouldn't let me make a payment, and they agreed to waive the late fee for me since more

The Capital One Platinum Credit Card is a very basic card with not many features. The standard APR is rather high compared to other cards on the market. However, the Capital One Card does benefit those with a limited or not so great credit history. For individuals who fall into this category this gives them the opportunity to prove their credit worthiness and qualify for better cards in the future. If you’re a college student with a similar background there are better options available. When I was a student I had a limited credit background and I was approved for the CitiBank Dividend Card, which offered 15.99% APR and no more

I have had credit issues in the past and have been working to rebuild for some time. This card is great for people like me trying to rebuild as the annual fee is low compared to other credit rebuilders cards and it is waived for a year. The interest rate is average and even good for people with less than perfect credit these days. The only reason I gave 4 and not 5 stars is because The limit is low and even after a year of on-time payments more than the minimum they refuse to raise the limit for me.

The Capital One Platinum Credit Card is the best card I've seen them put out for rebuilding credit for just starting out. They used to charge a much higher annual fee, so $19 is good for them. The roadside assist will save $5 a month your insurance is probably charging, and I like it when rent a car insurance is included like they do. No foreign transaction fees is nice, but I'd check on their currency conversion rates before going on a long trip offshore if it's your only card. So many can use a card like this after the economic meltdown. Even with a $300 limit, it's a good start to rebuild.

I have just recently began to rebuild my credit. This is a great card to do just that. There is an annual fee of $19 but, is waived the first year. I find the customer service is great and your needs are responded to immediately. They are friendly and help in a timely manner. I did get an increase on my credit limit after the first 6 months of on time payments. The Capital One Platinum credit card would be great for first time cardholders.

This Capital One Platinum Credit Card is a good card for someone who is starting to establish themselves in the credit arena. They have a reasonable annual fee which is waived the first year. What isn't great is the APR. It is high if you are planning on maintaining a balance on the card for extended periods of time. If this is the case, there are better options our there. There is no reward program which is not that unusual in a starter type credit card. Overall, this is a good starter card but don't expect too much in the way of bells and whistles. Those may come later as more

The Capital One Platinum is a really great card for anyone looking to get started in the credit field, especially if you are unsure about your needs. The $0 annual fee for the first year is essentially a long lasting trial period, but after this you will likely find that the great APR and quality service make it well worth the standard $19 fee that starts afterwards.

The Capital One platinum credit cards are easily the best first time credit cards to have. Really low annual fee, $19! Could be used to make good a bad credit history. The image gets included in the card, which is a bit embarrassing in the beginning, but that's really beneficial to retrieve a lost/stolen one. There are no reward or cash back facilities, but the credit limit increases once in six months if we do not default on payments. However, only time will tell if it would be the same throughout! I would love to give the card a 5 rating if there were some form of cash back or more

I love my Capital One Platinum Credit Card it's my favorite to use whenever I want to use credit. I have fair credit but I get a good APR with this card. The fees on it are perfectly reasonable as well. It doesn't have all of the features one with great credit would expect but for the average person with average credit it's a good card and a good creditor. I'd have to say since owning this card the best part about it was the customer service. The way they've handled issues was completely unexpected and very welcoming. If you're an average person with fair credit this is the card more

I own this credit card but only use it in emergencies because of the high rate. It has an annual fee, which I really don't care for, but it does offer you 24 hour roadside assistance so that offsets the fee somewhat. The auto rental insurance feature is a nice little bonus with this card, especially for those of us that do a lot of travelling. For travelers the "no foreign transaction fees" feature is also a nice addition to owning this card. This card has plenty of decent features for people that work and vacation abroad but the rate and the annual fee make it a card is a more

The card doesn't quite come with any bells or whistles. There are no rewards, but the limit does increase with every six months of on time payments. It was my first credit card and is relatively standard. It's great for what it is. I would definitely recommend for first time card holders. The credit limit increase is a great incentive to use the card and make payments, thus making it a great card to establish and build credit. If for some reason your fall behind, which I did after being laid off for several months, Capital One does a great job at working with you to stay afloat. Many payment more

Not a fan of this card, if you want 300 dollars for five years then this is the card for you. There are no rewards, no special features and a 19 dollar annual fee. There is never a credit line increase, as far as I can tell which means it doesn't really help you improve your credit. The one thing I do like about this card is the low monthly payments regardless of how much you have charged on this card. Overall I would say that if you don't have any other options for a credit card then this one will do.

The Capital One Platinum Credit Card is a decent card for people just starting off. There are several unattractive features at first, like a $19 annual fee, a high %25 rate, and no rewards. To me, this is one of the biggest features that detracts from this card, because when I spend money, I like to have the feeling I am getting something back out of using it, even if it is points that take years to accumulate. However, this card has several features that makes it stand out from its competitors. First, 24 hr road side assistance is a HUGE plus! If you don't have AAA, just make sure more
