Capital One has a few different “Spark” branded business credit cards and it can be hard to remember which offers what terms based on name alone because a simple “classic” or “select” getting thrown in the title can mean significant difference in value. Well, the Spark Miles for Business Card from Capital One is the offer that provides 10,000 bonus miles for spending $1,000 in the first three months and another 5,000 for signing up at least one employee as an authorized user. You also get 2 miles for every dollar spent across all purchases. If you redeem for travel related expenses, the Spark Miles for Business Card from Capital One is basically a 2% cash back card, meaning it is essentially the business equivalent of the extremely popular Venture Card from Capital One. Its clear what the card offers though, you want to know whether you should get it or not. A lot of that depends on your preferences and your company’s expenses. The Capital One Spark Miles for Business Credit Card offers competitive rewards, but for people who want as much simplicity as possible, the Spark Cash for Business offers 2% cash back across all purchases and Bank of America business credit cards are the only business credit cards that offer debt stability. (BofA is the only major issuer to extend CARD Act protections to its business credit cards). Other cards offer lucrative initial bonuses and/or particularly high earning rates on certain types of expenses. The Ink Bold with Ultimate Rewards is a good example as it offers 50,000 bonus points and 5 pts per dollar on the first $50,000 spent annually on business expenses. Any of these cards, including Capital One’s Spark Miles for Business, would be good choices to handle everyday business spending (personal credit cards and BofA business cards are the only ones that should be used for funding).
