Capital One’s Venture Card has long been one of the company’s most popular products, and whether Alec Baldwin, a friend or a colleague sent you looking for one, it’s understandable that you might be somewhat confused that two different Venture cards are available: The Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card and the Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card. There is a difference, so be careful to apply for the right one. The Capital One Venture Card is the one peddled by the 30 Rock star, which is basically a travel oriented 2% cash back card with a good initial bonus that can get you free flights. This Capital One VentureOne Rewards Card, on the other hand, only offers 1.25% cash back on travel but also gives you a year to pay down purchases before interest starts to set in. It has the same $100 initial bonus as the other Venture Card, and neither has an annual fee for the first year. The VentureOne Rewards Credit Card seems to be targeted more to consumers who want to earn travel rewards on upcoming purchases that they will not be able to pay for in full right away. This is common during the holiday season. Even if you have the money to pay your credit card bill, there is another interesting way to use the Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card. You could take advantage of the introductory 0% rate to keep your money in the bank for longer and in doing so earn rewards as well interest revenue. Ultimately, it appears that both Venture Cards are good deals, you just have to decide which will be the most beneficial. And remember if you are going to use the VentureOne Card to simultaneously get rewards and the good kind of interest, you still have to make minimum payments to prevent delinquency.
