  • Janice Young Larson:
Is there a Visa version of this card? I travel overseas frequently and the best ATM network is for Visa, not M/C.
  • Card Hub:
Hi Janice - Unfortunately Chase only offers Chase Sapphire Preferred Card under the MasterCard network. If having a VISA card with no foreign fees is important to you, we would recommend that you consider the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card. As long as you redeem your miles for any travel expenses that you have charged on the card you effectively get 2% cash back. Here are more details about the CapOne Venture card: http://www.cardhub.com/d/capital-one-venture-rewards-credit-card-378c/

@[24290186404:274:Card Hub] As I am currently looking at a Visa version of this card, I can assure you that this is incorrect.
  • Ed Stillman:
    @[24290186404:274:Card Hub], mine's a visa signature.
  • Card Hub:
@Ed Stillman @Corey - We stand corrected. We just confirmed with Chase that both the Chase Sapphire Preferred Credit Card is a VISA card. Thanks so much for your help! Their customer service also said that after one year of being a customer you can switch it to a MasterCard version, but we are not sure if we believe that as the Chase Sapphire Preferred Credit Card is a Visa Signature Card.
  • Joe Weider:
After hearing the news that Chase and United recently struck a deal which will allow Chase Sapphire Preferred customers free reign in transferring their points to United MileagePlus rewards program, I thought I have to check this card out. Upon getting to this page, I was delighted to see that the Chase Sapphire Preferred Credit Card is currently offering 50,000 initial bonus points because that means it is essentially offering 50,000 bonus United miles if I want it to be. Since United’s own credit card only offers 25k bonus miles, fans of the airline can really get some value by first opening the Chase Sapphire card. This isn’t to say that the Sapphire Preferred card isn’t a good deal on its own though. It also gives users 2 points per dollar spent on dining and travel (which means the fine-dining and jet-set crowds can easily turn their interests into free United flights), 1 point per dollar on everything else, and a 7% year-end rewards bonus. The fact that the card doesn’t have a first-year annual fee either means that you can open your card for as little or as much time (under a year, of course) as you want and still benefit without any fixed costs. Considering that Chase also allows rewards transfers to its other corporate partners—a group that includes Amtrak, Continental Airlines, British Airways, Marriott and Hyatt, among others—I’d say that the Chase Sapphire Preferred Credit Card is a pretty sweet deal right about now.
