While CoreFirst sure sounds like something a physical trainer would tell you, it’s actually a bank and we need to see what the CoreFirst Bank & Trust Visa Platinum Credit Card has to offer and whether or not it’d be worth applying for. Starting with rewards, the CoreFirst Visa Platinum Card doesn’t actually have any, which means it’s interest rates better explain the excellent credit it requires for approval or getting it would just be a waste. Well, the CoreTrust Platinum Credit Card only offers 1.9% introductory APRs on purchases and balance transfers in addition to its regular 9.25% interest rate. The intro rates are nothing special but the regular rates are among the lowest out there. That means the CoreFirst Visa Platinum Card is actually a decent option for people who occasionally find themselves with credit card balances. If you always pay your bill in full, your interest rate is immaterial and you should really focus on rewards. If you routinely do not pay you bill in full, you’d want a 0% credit card. You might’ve noticed that I said the CoreFirst Bank & Trust Platinum Card’s regular interest rate was “among the lowest out there.” You might therefore wonder what the other cards with low rates have to offer. Well, the PlatinumZero Secured Visa has a fixed 0% interest rate, which might sound good until you notice its $9.95 monthly fee. The Orchard Bank Secured Card has a 7.99% APR and no annual fee in the first year ($35 thereafter), but you may not want to sacrifice the liquidity required to get a secured card (minimum deposit of $200). That leaves you with the CoreFirst Bank & Trust Platinum Visa.
