As a recent immigrant to the USA I needed a card to start my credit history, this card provides this. I have always found them easy to deal, with and it is one of the few non deposit cards available to people with limited credit history.

I chose to apply for Credit One Bank Card with Gas Rewards because i don't have very good credit and this card seemed perfect to me with no deposit fee and they give you a chance to get a credit card and raise your credit.

Credit One Credit Card is the worst credit card to have. It has so many fees before you've even had a chance to use it. I know it is a card for people with bad credit, but Credit One takes advantage of everyone with bad credit. You could build your credit with this card, but you'd be paying an arm and a leg to do so. If you're desperate, get this card. Otherwise, look elsewhere for a card that has a high interest rate, but no fees, the fees will eat you alive. Stay far away from this card.

Credit One visa is a good card only if you have low credit score, I got it while building my credit and has been helpful since they report to all three credit agencies. I did have a problem with this card and there was fradulent charges on my account, unfortunately the banker worked with me and removed these charges from my balance immediately after reporting. Later on I had to provide documentation stating that the charges were fraudulent, but overall the experience was pleasant and I am a happy customer.

The Credit One Visa card is a pretty decent card for people with lower credit ratings. The annual fee gets applied to your balance immediately so I wasn't very happy having $75 immediately on my first statement. Still, secured cards or annual fees are terribly uncommon for people that have poor credit scores so I don't think it's completely unfair. I have had this card for a few years now and rarely use it but I have had no problems with the customer service or accessing my account online in that time. The interest rate isn't great but, considering that the card is designed for higher risk people, it isn't more

This card is great. It has helped me restore my credit score. They slowly increase your limit as you prove that you can spend the money and pay it back in a timely fashion. The customer service is excellent and you can always get in touch with somebody to speak to if you are having problems. I thought I had lost my card and in an instant they were able to check and see if it had been used at all and put a stop on it. Luckily I had just dropped it down the side of my seat in my car and they sent me out a new one more

I picked this card up after my credit was really hit hard. I've had it for a couple years now and I'm a fan. They upped my limit quite a bit since I've had the card, and it reports quickly to all three credit rating bureaus, which can help someone build the credit back up relatively painlessly. The two drawbacks are the interest and the annual fee. The interest rate is pretty high, which is to be expected with a card for people with bad credit. And the annual rate exceeds $75, which is divided up into payments around $8 or so each month. So no matter if you pay more

I recently opened this card to restore my credit. So far is has been ok, however, the annual fees are a bit high. I plan on using the cashbank bonus for my gas purchases. The website has a good feel to it and I was able to setup my card without incident. Several payment options are available. I am not too happy about the express payment fee. They are charging you ten dollars in order to make the payment and have the funds available immediately. This seems steep to me. I was approved very quickly and received my cards promptly in the mail.

I have had this card for just over a year now and to be honest with you I am thinking of canceling it. Don't get me wrong the card is good if like me you don't have the best credit as its easy to qualify for this one but once you have improved your credit and qualify for more cards there are plenty with a lower annual fee (even within the same company) The gas rewards are good but at 1% it would be difficult to earn back enough to compensate for the fee. As the card takes bad credit and there is no initial payment do as I did more

I had made some dumb mistakes when i was in college and my credit suffered accordingly. After a few years my credit started to clear up to the point where i could finally get a card again and this one was available. I applied and amazingly enough was approved with an initial credit line. I've used this card for about 2 years now and have no issues regarding it. The payments are easy to make and the online interface works flawlessly. To anyone out there who needs to build up their credit or even someone looking for a first time card who has no credit history. I would seriously look more

I got this card, because my credit was less than perfect. It has a high annual fee, no rewards, a high interest rate, and a low limit. I will say that it is easy to get, and the customer service is wonderful. Whenever I needed to call them, they were very respectful and answered my questions promptly. For rebuilding credit, this is a good card. The interest rate doesn't bother me, because I pay off my balance every month. The annual fee is high, but there aren't too many options for rebuilding your credit. Overall, I'm happy I got the card, and my credit has increased enough for me to more

I had some medical trouble a few years back, and insurance didn't cover everything. It was pretty hard getting back into the saddle credit wise after falling off the horse. Bills were stacking up and I was working on a greatly reduced budget. Honestly I wasn't sure how I was going to take care of things if an emergency ever arose. That was when I found this card. And that is exactly what I use it for, mostly emergencies. I make sure to make a small purchase with it once or twice a month, but for the most part I save it in case an emergency arises and my generally more

This is an excellent card for rebuilding credit. The annual fee is steep, but it was easy to obtain and does not have hidden fees. The interest rate seems competitive for cards of this category, and they claim to consider you for credit line increases with an on time minimum payment each month for six months. They generally start you out with a credit limit of $400, which is just enough to use and pay off, but not enough to get yourself in trouble with a big unaffordable bill. I wouldn't plan to keep this forever, as the second year the annual fee jumps up to $99, but for the more

I've had this Visa card for quite a while now, and it's been overall pretty good (it works for me and my lifestyle). The annual fees on this card are kind of steep, but it's because it was one of my first cards and my credit honestly was not the best in the world. However, everything else with the card has been spectacular, and the people at Visa are very very nice. They have helped me with any problems I've encountered with great advice and speed. I would recommend this card to anyone who has a fairly low credit and looking for a great new card to start out with.

I have numerous other Visa cards, and they've all been great. This one was very easy to understand, had clear disclosures and set-up's, and I got it in four days. I had a very generous credit limit, one much higher than any other credit card that I have gotten. The annual fee was much less than other cards, so I save money. The card is also appealing, I love that it has style. Overall, this card has proved to be reliable, cute, and money friendly for my pocketbook. I don't think Visa could do any better with this card. I love it.

This card is every bit as good as my other Visa cards, save for the annual fee. This expires after the first year (only an annual fee for year 1), but it's still the only credit card that I have used that has an annual fee. I understand why, as my credit score was not great initially when I applied for this card, and it's not a difficult credit card to obtain. I still feel good about keeping it because I've already paid the fee and I have Visa's high rate of acceptance at merchants and good customer service behind the credit card. This makes me feel better about being more

I have used Visa cards all my life (I mean, who hasn't?), and this card is just as good as the others. It was simple to set up, and get all the paper work filled out (took me maybe 10 minutes of actual paperwork), and I got the card in no time with a credit limit of $400. The free online statements make it a breeze to check, and manage my money. I can't tell you how many times I have forgotten about a payment, but been saved my the free reminder through email (which I check daily). I have had this card for about a year now, and overall more

I got this one to start off like most people, but I kept it only long enough until I could qualify for better cards. I guess it's expected that they'll take most advantage of people who have the least credit leverage, but the high interest rates and the monthly fees make this one a little less forgiving than most. Had I a better idea of my options, I think I would have shopped around a bit more, but I guess I didn't really regret the decision I made because I just didn't use it much and I immediately paid my balances in full anyway. This card was not for me more

I received an offer in the mail for this card. I have bad credit from a business failure, and even thought the annual fee is a bit high, I thought this was the time to have a real "credit" card again. I received may card very quickly, and have already had a 35% credit limit increase.
The account is easy to manage on line. Also they have a free credit score feature on their web page. Recently they have initiated paperless billing so I get my statements by email. I would recommend them as a good card to re-build credit. I have had zero problems with them.

This card words great if you have really bad credit like I did. If you use this card for credit rebuilding and not for a daily credit card, it will do wonders for you credit score. As long as I made my payments on time this card did it’s job. My credit score went from the 500’s to the 600’s by just using this card for several months. Also, when you use this card you credit line can be increased and this looks good to other creditors allowing you to get bigger cards in the future. This is a great stepping stone card.

This was the first credit card that I ever got. I understood that I kind of had to start at the bottom of the credit totem pole, as my credit wasn't really "bad", I just didn't have any to begin with. I understand now that that is almost worse than no credit at all. I didn't like the idea of the annual fee, but I understood that it was waived after the first year. I canceled my card after the first year because due to my building credit, I was able to apply for better cards. Still, I needed this card at the time and they were cool by giving more

This card is great for someone with a horrible credit history and looking to start down the road of recovery. It does have draw backs the fees are high and the interest is insanely high as well. If you get past the nearly $100 in yearly fees and the interest rate this is a fairly good card. Nothing is hidden they are up front about the costs and the payments are moderate if made on time. I would recommend this card to those looking to repair or start their credit history. Great customer service, easy bill pay with great features, do it apply you won't regret.

I have to say that I really don't like the Credit One Credit Card. It stuffs you with so many fees before you've even used it. So, before you've made your first purchase, you're already paying them nearly $100 a year to just have the card. That's not good for anyone. I assume this card is for people who have no credit experience or just terrible credit history. So, I guess it serves a purpose. Someone could build their credit history with this card, but you'd be paying to do so. If you're desperate, get this card. Otherwise, look elsewhere for a card that has a high interest rate, but more

This is the first card I've ever had so I can't really compare it to other credit cards. The monthly payments aren't bad and I've never had any issue with fraudulent charges or anything like that. The online monthly credit score tracking is really useful if you're trying to build your credit history. I can't tell you how many times the text/email alerts have saved me from forgetting to pay my bill. By far, my favorite feature has to be the “pick your payment” feature. This is my favorite because I'm paid twice a month and could not pay my bill if it were on a non paying week.

I have had this card for over 3 years now and am pretty happy with this card. I have only fair credit so am unable to get a card with a great interest rate, but I really wanted a card to use for emergency purposes. I answered a solicitation I received via U.S. Mail for this card. My application was approved and I received the card within a few weeks. The card has a low limit, which is exactly what I was looking for so that I wouldn't be tempted to overspend. I don't have the best credit and I got approved for this card, so it is helping me fix my credit. The interest rate is pretty low for a credit card so that is nice too if you can't afford to pay it all off every month you are not racked with crazy interest rates. Applying was fast and I got an answer and my card pretty quickly. The limit is low, but that is fine for me because I am just trying to build my credit back up. I decided to apply for a credit card right when I turned 18 to build my credit and capital one was my first choice. I applied got approved right away with no credit and got a $300 limit. After a few months they upped my limit which was awesome. I’m not a huge fan of their yearly fee because I forget about it and then end up getting some charges for it but their customer service is good. I was offered this card by Credit One through a mail offer. At the time I was trying to reestablish my credit after going through a bit of a rough patch. The card did have an annual fee, I believe it may have been as much as $75. I accepted the card though, and rarely used it (as stated, just trying to build credit) Sometimes I would charge a tank of gas or whatnot to the card, just so I could pay off the balance at the end of the month. The customer service representatives have always been pleasant and helpful each time that I have had to speak with customer service. I was offered this card by Credit One in the mail not long after I started my small business so I assume they have a way of finding new business owners. As a newcomer to the USA at the time with very little to no credit history it was hard to find card providers that would accept me but having sorted out my main card I took a chance on applying for this one too as a backup. I got this card when I had really bad credit. The APR is high and there’s a 75$ setup fee which might turn lots of people off, especially since it targets those with low credit. However, if you are smart with this card, it’s not a bad deal and it will help repair your card. Just make sure you don’t keep a balance on it! CreditOne does have lots of hidden fee type things – for example, their online interface charges you a convenience fee for instant payments (there is an option for ‘standard’ payments which don’t have this though). Overall, the card is decent, but do be careful with more

I can honestly admit that I have had very bad credit and filed bankruptcy two years ago, so I really did not have much of an option in choosing credit cards. When I first received this card, I had a credit limit of $750. For the first year, the card was great…I had no issues, and no interest for the first 12 months! It seemed, however, that as soon as the year passed everything went downhill. I would always buy something, and make a payment immediately on it. What really frustrated me is that when I bought something it would literally take a week or two for it to show more

When I was in a past relationship, my ex boyfriend had actually got some credit cards under my social that I didn't know about. With that said, my credit went down. As others have stated, this card is ideally for someone who is trying to rebuild credit. I was coming off a divorce and bankruptcy and this card has helped me to re-establish my credit rating. Yes, the $75 fee is high, but it's not terrible, and for the opportunity it is a small price to pay. Credit One steadily rose my limit as I used and paid off my balance. Their online banking is easy and intuitive. The online banking also included a credit rating feature that has been pretty accurate. I got this card about 10 months ago. My credit was shot after a bad divorce and I was trying to re-establish my credit. The card does have a high annual interest rate and a $75.00 card fee, but when you have bad credit you have to start somewhere! The one thing that really bothers me about this card is trying to make payments through the companies website. The website allows you to make a payment but it takes 3-5 days to post to your account. I always keep my Visa card in my wallet as a backup to my other cards. At some stores the only type of credit they allow are Visa cards; that's the time at which I would use my Visa Card. Otherwise, I find it beneficial to use my other cards. Visa does not give me as much cash back as my other cards, nor does it give me as many reward points. Have had my card for a few years now and can honestly say the only reason I keep it is because of the difficulty in finding a better card. This isn't to say the quality is anywhere near what you'd expect in terms of customer service or fees, simply that most cards out there have terrible service and fees. That said the card is accepted at practically every business and since I rarely use it for anything besides online purchases I feel it's adequate enough for that. I would highly suggest using a VISA debit card instead since it's also accepted in as many places.

I recently opened an account with this credit card company, and after reading the reviews below, I have to admit that what follows is going to echo the majority of what others have said already. The most important thing to know about this credit card is the seventy five dollar annual fee that Credit One charges. I find this fee to be expensive given the services that they offer. Their online banking is easy enough to use although they will charge you a fee if you try to pay your monthly bill with a debit card rather than through your checking account.

It depends on the type of card you wish to get, the company that issues it, and your overall credit standing. Most secured credit cards require a refundable security deposit of at least $200 that will serve as your credit line. So for example, if you place a $300 deposit, your credit limit will also be $300. With an unsecured credit card for bad credit, like the Credit One Bank Credit Card, the credit line that you will ultimately get approved for is hard to predict. Credit One will make that determination based on your income, debts, and the exact nature of your credit history.
