The Fidelity 529 Credit Card is a great card for American Express. Although there is no initial bonus, the base earn and max earn rate of 2 points/$1 is a good beginning rate. There are no limits and you can have a $50 deposit for every 5,000 points you have. The purchases, balance transfers, and cash advances are average at best. The downside is that there is no online response and the max late fee is average with other cards. The great thing about this card is that there is no annual fee and family and friends can open an account and link to your account. In comparison to the more

The Fidelity 529 Credit Card has one of the better rewards programs available - for spending $2,500 dollars, you get $50 back, which is an overall 2% cash back. Unlike most cards today which offer maybe a 3% for doing one thing, or a promotional 5% on gasoline (I'm looking at you, Discover), this one gives a solid 2% back. Plus, it has no limit to how many rewards you can earn - one my current rewards-based credit cards only allows me to redeem $500 dollars of rewards, which is about $50,000 spent on that card. If you're looking for a good rewards card, this one might be the way to go.

We really enjoy having this credit card. A lot of cards make you call quarterly or monthly to "activate" a current set of rewards, which change what percentage you get based on the category in which you are purchasing, Fidelity gives us a consistent 1.5% on all purchases, regardless of what we are purchasing. Also, there is no limit to this, unlike other credit cards. Finally, instead of having to request a check or use rewards on something specific, Fidelity deposits the funds in an account for us which we can access at any time.
