I was nervous when I first got this card cause of all the horrible reviews. So I decided to call the company to get answers in regards to the reviews. Both times I had amazing customer service and they were so quick to help me understand and figure out all my doubts. I feel so satisfied with this and will Def feel more secure using this credit card

Received pre approval letter in mail...filled out app online and did not receive instant approval, was told I would receive decision in 2 weeks...what decision? Was told I was preapproved which means you had already made a decision to give me the card. What kind of tactic is this?? My credit is fine and I am responsible with the credit I have. Is this some sort of bait and switch??

I know it is confusing but pre-approval does not necessarily mean approval and up to 10% of pre-approved applicants may get rejected in the end.

If you meet the credit requirements of this card then I think you might be hard-pressed to find a better deal. It offers a 0% introductory rate on purchase for the first 12 months and an interest rate as low as 9.99%. It also offers some decent perks, such as travel accident insurance, purchase protection and zero liability protection in the case of fraud. I'm less impressed with the cash advance fee, however... $15 or 5% seems excessive, in my opinion, but as I'm not very familiar with cards that allow this it's possible this is actually standard.
To summarize, this card offers enough features and perks that the very few negatives it has are pretty much made up for and I think this would be an excellent choice for anyone that qualifies for it.

You will be hard pressed to find rates as good as these on a commercially available credit card. With rates as low as 9.99% it's hard to give this card anything lower than 4 stars, however the lack of a rewards program really hinders this. Rewards programs are great for people who use their card a lot, and even for people who don't. The constant gain of points any time you use it is great for everyone, even if you use your card once a month, in 3 or 4 years it's possible you could have a free vacation on your hands. I absolutely love what this card offers rate-wise and I can't stress that enough. If you don't use your card very often then this may just be the card for you, otherwise I think you could do better and get better rewards going with a card other than the First National Bank of Omaha Platinum Edition Credit Card.

The First National Bank of Omaha Platinum Edition Visa Credit Card is a good, yet simple credit card. I like a lot of the benefits it offers, but I dislike that it does not offer rewards. Rewards with credit cards are one of the things I look for when getting a new credit card, so this is a little bit of a let down, but other than that, it is still a good card; especially for those of you do not care about rewards at all and just want a simple credit card. With that said, there are cards with rewards, such as The Honda Rewards card, that do have rewards unlike this one, but I think this one is better. One thing I like specifically is the Zero Liability Protection. The rates are not bad either.
