What's Your Rating?
With regard to rewards, this card gives 40,000 Hilton HHonors Bonus Points after spending $1,000 within four months of your account opening, 6 HHonors Bonus Points for each $1 spent at a participating hotel within the Hilton portfolio, 3 HHonors Bonus Points for each $1 spent on purchases at supermarkets, drugstores and gas stations, and 2 HHonors Bonus Points for each $1 spent on all other purchases. The 6 points you can earn at participating hotels is the maximum number of points you can earn per purchase. You also get Visa Signature Benefits, including concierge service. The 40,000 Hilton HHonors Bonus Points earned can be redeemed for nights at certain Hampton Inn & Suites, Embassy Suites Hotels and DoubleTree by Hilton and Hilton Hotels & Resorts. It is important to note that the Hilton HHonors Bonus Points offer is not available if you have had a Citi Hilton HHonors Visa Signature Card account that was opened or closed in the past 18 months. The points you earn will never expire as long as you have qualifying HHonors activity at least once every 12 months, so they essentially do expire if you're not using your card frequently. You get complimentary "HHonors Silver Status" as long as you're a Citi Hilton HHonors Visa Signature cardmember, which includes benefits like a 15% bonus on HHonors Base Points earned and complimentary access to the health club or fitness center at select hotel owned and operated facilities.
There is Travel & Emergency Assistance, Worldwide Car Rental Insurance, Lost Baggage Protection, $0 Liability on Unauthorized Charges, Damage & Theft Purchase Protection, Worldwide Travel Accident Insurance, EMV Chip Technology, Citi Price Rewind (they search for a lower price after you buy something, and if the same item is found at retailers’ sites within 60 days, you can be refunded the price difference), and Citi with Apple Pay (you can pay in-app). With each of these services, it is necessary to read the complete details regarding who's covered, what's covered, what's not covered, and coverage amounts that will be provided upon cardmembership. Overall, this card is great if you travel frequently (more than once or twice a month). The most benefits can be earned if you stay at Hilton, however, as there are other credit cards that offer better points on things like restaurants and entertainment.
