If you apply for the IKEA Visa Card or get a pre-approval, be aware that they can choose to issue you the IKEA Projekt Card instead. This card can only be used at IKEA. I would not have clicked through the "accept my IKEA Visa Card" email had I known that they would do this. It's deceptive. If you don't plan on making a major purchase from IKEA, it only serves as a hard hit on your credit and wasted plastic.

I just received a letter (Jan 24) notifying me that my IKEA Visa, which I had for 4 years, is closed by the bank (Comenity Capital). This followed from disabling my account in Dec '23 and asking me to send ID documents to verify myself. Upon calling customer service after account closure, they said my ID documents did not pass screening. I followed their instructions and sent in copies of my passport, Social Security card, driver's license, etc. I always paid on time and I was told there was no suspicious activity on my account. It feels like they just wanted to get my personal information and remove me. Very sad. This is an account with a subpar web portal, app, and customer service anyway. If not for IKEA, I would not have kept this account.

If you get a pay off amount…don’t use their separate provided address. Pay to normal PO box because it took 4x longer to process my payment making it conveniently for them, one day past due date . They refunded the late fee after I protested, but still charged me interest after the pay off amount. It was sent 12 days before due date. Payment normally process in 3 days sent to statement address. Dishonest banking practice to charge additional.

There should be a zero star option, because this card is absolutely worthless. There is no customer service support either. I had fraudulent charges come up and the only way to dispute those charges was to send them A LETTER IN WRITING. Also, there is no way to deactivate your card after those fraudulent charges were made so good luck getting it resolved. I called the phone number listed - it’s all automated and when you finally get to a representative, no one answers! This card is not worth the hassle, just avoid it.

One of the only redeeming qualities of the IKEA Store Card is that it has no annual fee compared to the $69 Nebraska Furniture Mart card charges, however, it does not offer any amazing features or discounts for regular customers. The interest rate in on the high side, so if you choose to apply, I would recommend you to pay your balance promptly every month to avoid interest fees. As I previously mentioned, this card could benefit from rewarding regular shoppers with gift cards, exclusive store discounts, and loyalty programs to increase sales and overall card attractiveness. As is, this card offers almost no perks with high risk.

The IKEA store card is very middle of the road. First, I want to say that I like how this card has no annual fee. Like my Chase Freedom card, I think that is a huge benefit of any credit card. The interest rate is high at nearly 26%, so I think that is something that would keep me from this card. However, people with at least fair credit can get this card, so if you have a low credit score but are extremely responsible, this can help improve your score. The main thing that I don't like about this card is how there is no rewards program at all. I think that there should at least be the possibility to win things at IKEA or get small gift certificates to their food place or something. That is really what draws me away from the card and means I'll probably stick with the others that I already have.

The Ikea Store Card is a mediocre card that is used for people who often go to Ikea for furniture selection and whatnot. There's nothing new or exciting to talk about this card. You may as well call it a blank card with no rewards, regular purchase rates, no balance transfers allowed, and cash advance fees. There's low monthly payments and no annual fees and online access. Comparing this to the Express Store Card, where you get a base and max earn rate, a birthday gift, $10 reward for every 2,500 points, then you'd see the features lacking in the Ikea Store Card. Truly a disappointment.

The IKEA Store Card has very little to no benefits. For one, it has a very high interest rate of 25.99% which is so high, I would recommend not getting one just based on that. IKEA Store Card also does not offer any special financing or rewards for using their card. The only benefit to this Store Card is if you need some sort of furniture from IKEA right away and are low on cash. However the interest rate of 25.99% would eat you alive, if you did not pay it off as soon as possible. You are much better off looking elsewhere or opening up a regular Credit Card in order to make purchases at IKEA. Stay Away.

The IKEA Store Card is the typical terrible credit card offered by stores. It has an abominable interest rate (there's only one, by the way) and the only redeeming value to this card is you don't have to pay an annual fee. You don't even get a break from the INSANE interest rate on purchases during an intro period, as there is none, however this is pretty typical among other rewards cards, as they would not be profitable to any corporation if they did that as well. BUT get this...this isn't even a rewards card...there's no reward program attached to this terrible card. This is basically a little piece of advertising that is self funded by the suckers it is aimed at. AVOID.

I am pretty disappointed with this card and i hope it gets an update with some sort of benefit to being a frequent shopper of the best store in the world. I literally love this store and this card gives me 0 benefit for using it there even though the IKEA Store Card is the officially card and endorsed by it. I would just like a rewards program like standard credit cards that also doubles the bonus if you shop at Ikea. Anything honestly would be better than what they are offering us now. THEY HAVE TO UPDATE.... right? Please ikea? Please? I just want some benefit for shopping at my favorite store in the world.
