Most of American Express’ business cards are charge cards which means you need to pay your balance in full every month, but the Jet Blue Card from American Express Open is one of the few business credit cards Amex offers. If you are a Jet Blue customer/small business owner, you may be highly inclined to get the Jet Blue American Express Credit Card and if you aren’t you may be scared off by the branding, but either way it really comes down to what the Jet Blue Credit Card offers. When it comes to rewards, the Jet Blue Amex Card offers 10,000 TrueBlue points with your purchases (weird that they’re points not miles, but who really cares since you get a free flight out of this initial bonus) and 1 point per dollar spent on everything else. While a free flight is nice, the ongoing rewards offered by the American Express Jet Blue Credit Card doesn’t quite measure up. This is especially true when you consider that the card doesn’t offer a 0% rate on purchases, doesn’t allow balance transfers and has a $40 annual fee. If you want an Amex card there are plenty of alternatives to the JetBlue Card. For example, the American Express Simply Cash Credit Card is a good offer, as is the gold charge card. Another good business credit card to consider is the Capital One Spark Cash for Buiz since it offers 2% cash back across all purchases. Finally, remember that whether you get the Jet Blue Amex Credit Card or another business rewards card, you shouldn’t carry a balance on a business credit card. You should instead use a personal credit card with a long 0% intro rate like the Citi Diamond Preferred Card.
