Is there a way to avoid the monthly maintenance fee?
I don't really understand the advantage of a prepaid card vs. having a bank account with a debit card, other than fees. You still need to report full information about yourself, including SS#, etc. and it seems more of a hassle to load money on it - you need to transfer from a bank anyway, or use PayPal or Green Dot. What am I missing?
Can I transfer money from my bank account into the Mango Card?
Do I need a bank account to get a Mango Prepaid card?
You do not need a bank account to get a Mango Prepaid card. They will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow them to identify you.
