What are the credit score requirements for a Menards Big card?

You generally need “fair” credit for approval, which means a credit score above 640). However, issuers consider your overall financial picture, including your income and existing debt obligations, when making approval decisions. Your credit score can therefore only be used as a guideline.

To see where you stand, and thus estimate your odds of approval for this card, you can check your credit score for free on our sister site WalletHub: . Your free account will give you access to daily updates to your credit score and full credit report as well as 24/7 credit monitoring. Hope this helps!

After reading the reviews, I would much rather shop at Menards using my Citi Double Cash Card and earn the same 2% rebate which is more flexible and universal.

I love the Menards Big Card! Number one, it's issued by Capital One. I have two Capital One cards and their customer service is great! You get a 2% rebate on all your purchases which really adds up if you shop there a lot like I do. Add that to an item that already has a rebate on it and you save even more! ^ month financing on any items over $299 and 48 month financing on anything over $1,500. The only bad thing about the card is the 24.99% interest outside of the financing period. If you don't plan on paying off your balance in that time period you're more

How and when do I get the 2% rebate? I bought alot of stuff. Roof, door and other stuff when building my garage. Calledmenards and got the run around.

If I could give this card 0 stars I would. Card users beware of this card. Take it from someone who used to work at Menards for 8 years. The interest rates never go lower. I believe the deal is if you spend $599 or more, you can choose to pay no interest for 6 months if paid in full or a 2% rebate on your entire purchase. If you do select to not pay the interest for 6 months, MAKE SURE you pay off that purhcase ENTIRELY! Most credit cards if you don't pay off the promotional payment, you will only get hit once with a big interest charge more

After a thorough revision of Menards Credit Card, I would say my overall appraisal would be valuable and acceptable. One cannot disagree with a $10 dollar bonus just after the first $100 charge with Menards Credit Card. Not to mention the 2% Annual Rebate on Menards purchases and 1% annual rebate on purchases made at Speedway, SuperAmerica, Holiday, and Kwik Trip stores. I personally do not like to give an arm or leg when it comes to purchasing gas. So I am not complaining with the 5 cents off every gallon when using Menards Credit Card. This means a little extra savings in my account. Compared to other Credit Cards more

After reviewing this card I would say this is a decent store credit card overall. I would recommend paying this off each month due to the high interest rate. However, compared to my other credit card at Home Depot this card does have many great features with the fuel savings program 1 percent for every other purchase would come in handy if you fuel a lot at holiday and speedways!

Anyone who owns a home can tell how expensive renovations and maintenance can be. So anything you can do to reduce that cost makes a big difference in your budget. The Menards Store Card is a fantastic way to do that. Low interest rate, a nice little 10 dollar bonus on sign up, and best of all 2% annual rebate on Menards Purchases and 1% Annual Rebate on Purchases at Speedway, Holiday, Kwik Trip Stores and Kwik Star Stores.

Especially with the Menards purchases these savings will really add up over time and help you save money. It's much better for most people than bog standard rewards cards from Visa or more

Menards Credit Card is one of my favorite credit cards to use. The first time you spend $100 you receive $10 off, which can't be beat, and you earn 2% annual rebates for shopping at Menards. As well as earning 1% for every other purchase at Speedway, Holiday, Kwik Trip Stores and Kwik Star Stores. This beats my Home Depot Credit Card by quite a bit, as they don't offer nearly as high of incentives for using their credit card. Home Depot doesn't team up with Speedway and other retailers to offer such great incentives.

I am always impresed with the amount of rewards I earn, and love to recommend the more

The terms of the card are pretty standard for merchant charge cards. Something I like is that there is no annual fee. Annual fees normally make me run away, but with no annual fee I don't see why, if you shop at this merchant, you wouldn't have this card. The rewards and rebates make it worth it - if you're shopping there anyway you may as well take advantage of the rewards! The only thing that I don't like is that it has a high APR (which most retailer cards do) - so just make sure you pay it off every month to avoid interest payments.

The fact that the Menard's card does not have a limit on how much cash back/rebates that you can earn is awesome. The $10 bonus on my first $100 purchase and the 5 cents per gallon fuel savings is a great bonus. I have seen some comment on the APR, but honestly, I have credit cards that have an APR of 26.99%, so the APR on the Menards card is reasonable for a store card. The late fee is very comparable to my other card, and the fact that they allow a 25 day grace period is nice of them- I know it is common, but my credit card only more

The APR on this Menards Store Card makes me a bit nervous, but usually I am able to pay off the balance before interest will build up. The Late fee is also a bit on the higher side, my other credit card only charges $25 for a late fee, and unfortunately I have had to bite that bullet a couple of times already. I like the $10 reward bonus, and think that is a good perk overall. That problem is, there really isn't any great incentive to make me want to switch cards. Sure if this was my first card, I may keep it. Hopefully they make a few changes more

The APR is very high. That would deter me from getting this card. It seems that the store perks for the Menard's card are very good though. The perks for Gas are great during this time and age. You had better be careful to pay the premium on time or they'll hit you with a $35 late fee.

The APR is almost overly high, but this is a decent card if, like me, you shop at Menards frequently. The Menards Store Card offers decent bonuses for those shopping at participating stores, but they refuse to lower any of the rates regardless of how long you've been a loyal customer. Not too good of a practice, if you ask me. I haven't had any serious issues with it, but think before getting.

This card is a Joke. Get a Discover card instead! Big card interest rates are very high. The piddly 'bonus' they offer you is a joke. I was a card carrying customer for 4 years, I paid off my entire balance yearly (roughly 2,000 annually) and they refuse to lower my interest rate! The customer's clearly mean nothing to this company. To top it all off they don't allow you to transfer your balance to another card (my discover card has lower interest rates and frequently offers promotions like 12 months interest free) I cancelled my big card and will now use my discover card at LOWE'S!

The Menard card is an okay card to have if you frequently shop at Menard. The interest rate on this card is high, but if you are the type to pay your cards off fast, that shouldn't be an issue. The $10 in-store certificate is a nice feature, but it's only applicable to first time $100 purchase. It would be more appealing if it were like my Khol's store card where they'd always give out Kohl's cash when I spend $50 or more, and with frequent coupons sent to me through mail. The nice thing to add is that the Menard's card can be accepted at all Holiday, Kwik Trip more

Compared to my Meijer's card the APR is very high. But for those that pay off their bills quickly, they would avoid that. The high APR would not be beneficial for college students or people who are just trying to build their credit. I like the $10 bonus after your first $100 purchase as Menards has items for all areas of the home, including some limited clothing. The fact that they offer rebates at places like Speedway are also a bonus, because then you are able to earn points for gas, and buying snacks on the go, throughout the entire US, where Menards may not be present. Overall, it is more

This card would be great if you shop at Menards a lot, and if you pay off the balance at the end of every month, to avoid the very high interest rate. However, if that is not the case, you would be best to avoid this card at all costs. The APR is super high.

Overall, the Menards Store Card is a decent store credit card. The best features of this card allow you to earn 1-2% rewards, with the option of getting a ten dollar bonus after you spend your first one hundred dollars. However, the card lacks on low APR or Intro APR as compared to other cards. The regular APR is 24.99% and the card carries a 27.99% penalty APR. Other store cards that I own (i.e. JCPenny, Amazon, and New York and Company) have better rewards systems using a point system. The also offer special financing for purchases over a certain threshold. For example, with my Amazon store card I get more

The 2% annual rebate on Menard's purchases, along with the 1% rebate on purchases at Speedway, Holiday, Kwik Trip Stores and Kwik Star Stores is slightly above average and the sole reason I give this card a 4 star review. The 24.99% APR is quite high, but the 25 day grace period is higher than what I have typically seen with other store cards. My Target card has a 22.99% rate and 5% off all purchases when I use the card, that one is hard to beat!

A Menards card is only good if you live in an area that has a Menards store or a Speedway gas station. The rewards are great if you visit these locations often, but the APR is sky high. And if you pay late, forget about it, you'll never pay this card off if you're paying interest on any of your purchases. Best bet with this card, pay it off right away, and reap the benefits of the rewards.

If you shop at Menards a lot then maybe this works for you, but it looks the the only benefit it the rebates. It is also very limiting on gas stations, I have other rewards cards that I would use over this card.

I like the Menards card because there is no annual fee! I also like that you get 2% back at the end of the year and 1% back at some gas stations! That will save me money which I love. I think the only thing they should add is maybe certain days card holders get a certain percentage off there purchases in store when you use your card. That is what my Kohls charge card does and I just love that because I save even more money. Still love the Menards card with its low APR and fees!

The Menards Card is much better than other store cards and I like the fact that there is no annual fee. Also, there is almost a month grace period which is nice for when you just so happen to forget to pay on time.

The Menards card is a better choice than others because there's no annual fee. Instead, you get a $10 initial bonus, and a low APR. It is much better than comparable store cards but the fact remains that this should only be a card for you if you shop there a lot. The convenience store purchases aren't worth it in my opinion because there are other cards that will give better rewards there.

I have a good credit score and received a $7000 limit with 6 months 0%. The APR after that is 9% if I remember correctly. Anyways, I've only used about $600 worth of it, but no surprises thus far. It's one of those one and done cards, not an avid shopper there.

I like the Menards store card. especially if you make regular purchases from Menards. They will give you $10 for the first $100 that you spend. I really like how they give you 2% back at the end of each year for everything that you bought on the card. The interest rate is a little high though, but as long as you pay off your balance in a reasonable time it is ok.

As far as store cards go, the Menard's Store Card is decent. Not great, not terrible. No fee to use is always nice, but unless you do a lot of shopping in the store or have plans to buy a big ticket item, it's probably not going to do you much good. But it stacks up about the same as the Wal-Mart Store Card, and offers a gift card for your first 100 spent using the card, so there's that.

The Menards card is a great card if you like to make purchases from that store. They offer great rewards and deals. The first great deal that the card offers is a 2% rebate at the end of the year for every single thing that you bought with the card, you also earn another 1% when you use this card at gas stations and many other locations. Menards also offers great financing deals throughout the year. Sometimes it is free financing on purchases over $599. I would definitely recommend this card.

The Menard card has its benefits if you’re a fan of Menards. You receive a $10 reward for the first $100 that you spend at Menards, and it is given to even people with just a Fair credit rating. The downside is the possibility of getting hit by an almost 28% APR. (My highest card, my Target Redcard, is about 23%.) There’s apparently no online response, which is not a common policy for the 21st century.

The Menards Store Card is a decent card to have if you are making a large in store purchase like an appliance. The initial ten dollar bonus is a nice perk as well. The annual percentage rate is much higher than what I have on my Lowe's card. That is definitely a drawback as you wouldn't want to leave a balance on the card for long. If you are a contractor, this card would be great to put your purchases on as you earn a rebate of two percent of all your purchases bought in store. In general the Menards Store Card might be best served to have and use more

The Menards Big Store card is a decent card that I opened up when I had to make a large purchase at their store. I was working on my house and was told by the cashier about this card and promptly signed up for some of the bonuses. It is definitely not a card you want to keep a balance on, but if you are making large purchases at their store, it is worth it to sign up to get some of the cash back on your items. There is also financing available which is decent, but the high APR on this card means that you should try to pay more

The Menard’s store card is a decent card for daily home improvement purchases but I would not recommend it for big projects where you need to charge a large amount. The store itself is great because it’s a lot cheaper than Home Depot or Lowes and the cards rewards makes it even better. You get 1% cash back on everything you spend which quickly adds up to rewards on items you purchase frequently. But the negatives include an APR that is way too high, even for those with good credit. Also they don’t give you an introductory period of no interest so unless you are willing to pay off the more

I like that the Menards Store Card allows for applicants with lower than average credit scores and also like the lack of annual fee that seems to plague most credit cards. Of course, as being someone who lives in the Mid-Atlantic, the incentive program that is offered by this card is pointless--and I imagine that it's even more pointless to those who have no interest in home improvement and gardening whatsoever. (Speedway is the only supported chain in my general region, but the closest one is seventy-five miles away.) Not allowing balance transfers or having cash advance options seem to make this card even seem less meaningful to me.

This is about the same as my Kohl's card, although the interest rate is 1% higher. Depending on how much you spend, the Kohl's card may have more advantages because of the 15% off first purchase. If you make frequent small purchases, Menards' 10% off may be better, plus the 2% rebate. Most store cards have no annual fee, so that really makes no difference. The late fee is about the same too, at $35. Menards has a grace period of 25 days, which not all stores have. I'm doubtful that they actually give credit to those with a "fair" credit rating. They might have their own interpretation of "fair," more

There is a lot of things I like about the Menards Store Card! You don't need the best credit to acquire this card and there is no annual fee! That is a major contrast when compared to other store cards! You get an initial bonus and there is no limit on how many reward points you can earn. Unfortunately, they don't offer any intro rate. Their interest rate at 25% is about average for store cards, but still, considerably high. I do like that they offer special financing with this card, it could be a big help to people who really need something they can't afford to pay full prices more

The Menards Store Card seems like a card one would like to have when trying to build credit or get back on track from having bad credit. There is nothing great about this card, well, as compared to major banks who can offer a much better reward to spend ratio. The initial bonus of $10 for $100 spent is nice but not at all enticing. I used to have a Chase Freedom card a while back and they paid $100 for spending a certain amount in a small time frame. I also don’t really like the fact that there is no offer for an intro APR rate. But I guess more

This card looks very nice, it give you $10 back when you first spend about $100 so thats pretty nice, and plus it gives you credit back, this card looks very nice to have if you are a big shopper, one thing I dont really like about it is the certain stores you have to shop at to get the discounts none of them are really near me so that's a bummer about that, the Best Buy store card gives you up to 5% back on purchases in the store and you can also enjoy discounts and events they have going on.

The Menards Store Card is fantastic. First off, I'm a fan of any card that offers credit back on purchases. If I'm going to be shopping there anyways, it's absolutely worthwhile. It's like a 2% discount on anything in the store! At least that's how I look at it. Personally, I always enroll for store cards whenever someone offers me one. I recently applied for Best Buy's version of this card and was very satisfied. It has similar terms, but I don't shop at Best Buy as often as I shop at Menards. It's nice to see a company that actually offers real benefits for its frequent shoppers/loyal customers. It more

All and all I think the Menards Store Card is a decent deal. If you're anything like us, we spend a lot of time and money doing projects around the house. The card is great because we get cash back just for shopping at Menards -- it's basically giving us 2% back for doing nothing. I haven't used the card anywhere else, but you can also get 1% at Kwik Trip and Speedway. Even better, we also got a $10 gift certificate the first time we used the card! Not too shabby considering we were spending the money anyways. I guess if there was a downside it's that it is more

The Menards Store Card is one of those card specifically aimed at a certain group of people. The initial offer of a ten dollar certificate after charging your first hundred is okay at best but there is no real incentive to stick with this card. The 2% annual rebate for Menards purchases is only appealing if you’re a contractor in home remodeling and are expecting to make plenty of purchases through the year. The gas and convenience store rebates are laughable because you can do so much better using other cards. Unless you are a home contractor, don’t bother with this card.

The Menard's Store Card is a typical store card where it doesn't offer very much to the average user unless they use the card to shop exclusively at Menard's.Many other store brand cards such as Kohl's or Target offer a better incentive. While Menard's will give you $10 off your first $100 and 1% cash back at cash stations this is really only a value to people who will do a lot of shopping at Menard's and with other store brands in competition and offering bigger discounts it's hard to give this card more than 2 stars. If they should offer more of a cash back incentive in the future more
