Overall, the Menards Store Card is a decent store credit card. The best features of this card allow you to earn 1-2% rewards, with the option of getting a ten dollar bonus after you spend your first one hundred dollars. However, the card lacks on low APR or Intro APR as compared to other cards. The regular APR is 24.99% and the card carries a 27.99% penalty APR. Other store cards that I own (i.e. JCPenny, Amazon, and New York and Company) have better rewards systems using a point system. The also offer special financing for purchases over a certain threshold. For example, with my Amazon store card I get more

The 2% annual rebate on Menard's purchases, along with the 1% rebate on purchases at Speedway, Holiday, Kwik Trip Stores and Kwik Star Stores is slightly above average and the sole reason I give this card a 4 star review. The 24.99% APR is quite high, but the 25 day grace period is higher than what I have typically seen with other store cards. My Target card has a 22.99% rate and 5% off all purchases when I use the card, that one is hard to beat!

A Menards card is only good if you live in an area that has a Menards store or a Speedway gas station. The rewards are great if you visit these locations often, but the APR is sky high. And if you pay late, forget about it, you'll never pay this card off if you're paying interest on any of your purchases. Best bet with this card, pay it off right away, and reap the benefits of the rewards.

If you shop at Menards a lot then maybe this works for you, but it looks the the only benefit it the rebates. It is also very limiting on gas stations, I have other rewards cards that I would use over this card.

I like the Menards card because there is no annual fee! I also like that you get 2% back at the end of the year and 1% back at some gas stations! That will save me money which I love. I think the only thing they should add is maybe certain days card holders get a certain percentage off there purchases in store when you use your card. That is what my Kohls charge card does and I just love that because I save even more money. Still love the Menards card with its low APR and fees!

The Menards Card is much better than other store cards and I like the fact that there is no annual fee. Also, there is almost a month grace period which is nice for when you just so happen to forget to pay on time.

The Menards card is a better choice than others because there's no annual fee. Instead, you get a $10 initial bonus, and a low APR. It is much better than comparable store cards but the fact remains that this should only be a card for you if you shop there a lot. The convenience store purchases aren't worth it in my opinion because there are other cards that will give better rewards there.

I have a good credit score and received a $7000 limit with 6 months 0%. The APR after that is 9% if I remember correctly. Anyways, I've only used about $600 worth of it, but no surprises thus far. It's one of those one and done cards, not an avid shopper there.

I like the Menards store card. especially if you make regular purchases from Menards. They will give you $10 for the first $100 that you spend. I really like how they give you 2% back at the end of each year for everything that you bought on the card. The interest rate is a little high though, but as long as you pay off your balance in a reasonable time it is ok.

As far as store cards go, the Menard's Store Card is decent. Not great, not terrible. No fee to use is always nice, but unless you do a lot of shopping in the store or have plans to buy a big ticket item, it's probably not going to do you much good. But it stacks up about the same as the Wal-Mart Store Card, and offers a gift card for your first 100 spent using the card, so there's that.

The Menards card is a great card if you like to make purchases from that store. They offer great rewards and deals. The first great deal that the card offers is a 2% rebate at the end of the year for every single thing that you bought with the card, you also earn another 1% when you use this card at gas stations and many other locations. Menards also offers great financing deals throughout the year. Sometimes it is free financing on purchases over $599. I would definitely recommend this card.

The Menard card has its benefits if you’re a fan of Menards. You receive a $10 reward for the first $100 that you spend at Menards, and it is given to even people with just a Fair credit rating. The downside is the possibility of getting hit by an almost 28% APR. (My highest card, my Target Redcard, is about 23%.) There’s apparently no online response, which is not a common policy for the 21st century.

The Menards Store Card is a decent card to have if you are making a large in store purchase like an appliance. The initial ten dollar bonus is a nice perk as well. The annual percentage rate is much higher than what I have on my Lowe's card. That is definitely a drawback as you wouldn't want to leave a balance on the card for long. If you are a contractor, this card would be great to put your purchases on as you earn a rebate of two percent of all your purchases bought in store. In general the Menards Store Card might be best served to have and use more

The Menards Big Store card is a decent card that I opened up when I had to make a large purchase at their store. I was working on my house and was told by the cashier about this card and promptly signed up for some of the bonuses. It is definitely not a card you want to keep a balance on, but if you are making large purchases at their store, it is worth it to sign up to get some of the cash back on your items. There is also financing available which is decent, but the high APR on this card means that you should try to pay more

The Menard’s store card is a decent card for daily home improvement purchases but I would not recommend it for big projects where you need to charge a large amount. The store itself is great because it’s a lot cheaper than Home Depot or Lowes and the cards rewards makes it even better. You get 1% cash back on everything you spend which quickly adds up to rewards on items you purchase frequently. But the negatives include an APR that is way too high, even for those with good credit. Also they don’t give you an introductory period of no interest so unless you are willing to pay off the more

I like that the Menards Store Card allows for applicants with lower than average credit scores and also like the lack of annual fee that seems to plague most credit cards. Of course, as being someone who lives in the Mid-Atlantic, the incentive program that is offered by this card is pointless--and I imagine that it's even more pointless to those who have no interest in home improvement and gardening whatsoever. (Speedway is the only supported chain in my general region, but the closest one is seventy-five miles away.) Not allowing balance transfers or having cash advance options seem to make this card even seem less meaningful to me.

This is about the same as my Kohl's card, although the interest rate is 1% higher. Depending on how much you spend, the Kohl's card may have more advantages because of the 15% off first purchase. If you make frequent small purchases, Menards' 10% off may be better, plus the 2% rebate. Most store cards have no annual fee, so that really makes no difference. The late fee is about the same too, at $35. Menards has a grace period of 25 days, which not all stores have. I'm doubtful that they actually give credit to those with a "fair" credit rating. They might have their own interpretation of "fair," more

There is a lot of things I like about the Menards Store Card! You don't need the best credit to acquire this card and there is no annual fee! That is a major contrast when compared to other store cards! You get an initial bonus and there is no limit on how many reward points you can earn. Unfortunately, they don't offer any intro rate. Their interest rate at 25% is about average for store cards, but still, considerably high. I do like that they offer special financing with this card, it could be a big help to people who really need something they can't afford to pay full prices more

The Menards Store Card seems like a card one would like to have when trying to build credit or get back on track from having bad credit. There is nothing great about this card, well, as compared to major banks who can offer a much better reward to spend ratio. The initial bonus of $10 for $100 spent is nice but not at all enticing. I used to have a Chase Freedom card a while back and they paid $100 for spending a certain amount in a small time frame. I also don’t really like the fact that there is no offer for an intro APR rate. But I guess more

This card looks very nice, it give you $10 back when you first spend about $100 so thats pretty nice, and plus it gives you credit back, this card looks very nice to have if you are a big shopper, one thing I dont really like about it is the certain stores you have to shop at to get the discounts none of them are really near me so that's a bummer about that, the Best Buy store card gives you up to 5% back on purchases in the store and you can also enjoy discounts and events they have going on.

The Menards Store Card is fantastic. First off, I'm a fan of any card that offers credit back on purchases. If I'm going to be shopping there anyways, it's absolutely worthwhile. It's like a 2% discount on anything in the store! At least that's how I look at it. Personally, I always enroll for store cards whenever someone offers me one. I recently applied for Best Buy's version of this card and was very satisfied. It has similar terms, but I don't shop at Best Buy as often as I shop at Menards. It's nice to see a company that actually offers real benefits for its frequent shoppers/loyal customers. It more

All and all I think the Menards Store Card is a decent deal. If you're anything like us, we spend a lot of time and money doing projects around the house. The card is great because we get cash back just for shopping at Menards -- it's basically giving us 2% back for doing nothing. I haven't used the card anywhere else, but you can also get 1% at Kwik Trip and Speedway. Even better, we also got a $10 gift certificate the first time we used the card! Not too shabby considering we were spending the money anyways. I guess if there was a downside it's that it is more

The Menards Store Card is one of those card specifically aimed at a certain group of people. The initial offer of a ten dollar certificate after charging your first hundred is okay at best but there is no real incentive to stick with this card. The 2% annual rebate for Menards purchases is only appealing if you’re a contractor in home remodeling and are expecting to make plenty of purchases through the year. The gas and convenience store rebates are laughable because you can do so much better using other cards. Unless you are a home contractor, don’t bother with this card.

The Menard's Store Card is a typical store card where it doesn't offer very much to the average user unless they use the card to shop exclusively at Menard's.Many other store brand cards such as Kohl's or Target offer a better incentive. While Menard's will give you $10 off your first $100 and 1% cash back at cash stations this is really only a value to people who will do a lot of shopping at Menard's and with other store brands in competition and offering bigger discounts it's hard to give this card more than 2 stars. If they should offer more of a cash back incentive in the future more

It seems like this card could offer a big more for people with better credit than others, this kind of reminds me of a starter credit card to help build up your credit or something kind of like a visa card I got when I was 18. Although it does have some good points about it like no annual fee which I would expect in a card with people with good credit. I think the initial bonus is really poor 10 dollars, surely a card can do better than that. I like that you can manage your account online that's always helpful to the consumer, and also it has special more

This card is not worth the hassle of signing up for it. Usually store cards offer 5% back on all your purchases, but the Menards Big Store card only offers 2% back and a pitiful $10 sign up bonus. The only reason to have this card is going to be to take advantage of their special financing offers when they have them, but that's it. If you have the cash to pay off your purchase, you are better off going to Lowes which offers 5% back when you use their store card in store. 2% back is just not acceptable when the competition has a much better offer.

If you shop at Menards a lot, then this card will be useful for you. Otherwise, it doesn't offer you anything better than a lot of other cards. Compared to other store cards, the rewards are not that great. All you get is a $10 bonus in addition to 2% cash back at Menards and 1% cash back at certain cash stations. Other store cards give you a long intro period with no APR to finance large purchases and enter you into loyalty programs that provide more discounts year round, like Best Buy's card. 2% cash back isn't even that much compared to cards like Amazon's, which gives you 3% more

The Menards store card offer an initial bonus of $10 off your first $100 purchase. That doesn't seem like a whole lot to me. Many store cards like the Kohl's card offer the same thing, but Kohl's does coupons year round, while the Menards card does an annual rebate of 2% on their store purchases and 1% on other sister store purchases. There's no annual fee so that's always a plus with a store credit card. You don't want to pay more in the annual fee than you would at the store. There isn't a late fee or an over limit fee which is a huge incentive for me.

The Menards store card has some great points about it in comparison to cards like the old navy card but there are some big drawbacks too. The main pro of this card is that there is no annual fee and you earn cash rebates at places other than the main store (Kwik trip among others) so this is a handy card even if you don't live near a Menard store. This brings me to the main down side to this card, Menard is a very regional store located in the Midwest, If you live there then this card is great for fixing up the home and garden. If you dont more

I've never heard of a Menards until I visited the midwest, but the Menards Store Card does seem really good for the homeowner who has a lot on their plate for fixing or making things around the house or yard. The initial bonus is basically a 10% return for you (10 $ back after you spend 100 $) and although the ratio of potential cash-back to money spent isn't all that high, it is on par with what's offered from other credit cards today. Also, Menards Store Card doesn't have an annual fee, which is really nice! I have a credit card that offers me cash-back but when it comes more

The Menards Store Card is a good store card if you search at Menards or other stores where the card works as well. The base cash back is kind of on the low end, but it is still a decent card. You only get around 1% to 2% depending on the circumstance. So it may not be beneficial to you to use this store card over another rewards credit card that offers a bigger cash back bonus. That is if you have one available to you. If you don't then this store card is fine. Overall, if you shop at menards a lot, pick it up, it's easy to get approved for.

The Menards Store Card looks like a good card to have if you do a lot DIY work on your home. There is no APR listed, so I assume it probably is set based on your credit history and history at the store. That probably is a good way of doing things. I have a card from Provident Credit Union that sets the APR based on the first few months of using the card. There is a range between 8-13% initially. Then it sits between 11.99 and 15.99% depending on your credit usage. It really is a pretty good deal. If the Menards card is similar, that would be great. more

I love having my Menards store card. Like many of you who have navigated to this page, or already have this card, I'm a DIYer. Whether I'm working on a small project or a large one, I like to get my hands dirty and get involved in the process. That's where this Menards card is great. I can take on more projects without being as hesitant about how much it will set me and my wallet back in the short-term. I know I can already count on Menards low prices, and killer mail in rebates, this store card just sweetens the pie. Not to mention this card has a 2% more

I’ve been a Menards Big Card customer for only about a month. I originally applied so that I can quickly and easily register for the monthly give aways at the store. The kiosk in each store lets me just swipe the card to register rather than having to enter all my info like I usually do. As a credit card, it has the added bonus of giving me a 2% rebate each year. I had a worrisome experience just today, though. I received a letter from the Menards letting me know that the address for my account had been changed. I called the number and talked to a helpful person more

After being asked at checkout for several years if we were going to use our Menards store card and/or would we like to apply for one, my husband and I took the plunge and applied. While the sales clerk who took our application assured us that Menards was "pretty generous" with credit lines, I can't say that I was terribly impressed, especially considering we had excellent credit and they are a home improvement store that sells many big-ticket items. We used the card on a regular basis and paid off our bill every month and it wasn't long before we saw our first credit line increase. Three months after that more
