I used my Miles by Discover card for a few years while I was in graduate school. I attended a low residency program that required me to fly to a different city every six months and stay in a hotel for 10 days each time. Obviously, this added up to a lot of money and luckily that meant a lot of miles. I was able to redeem miles at first just for statement credits, but later for actual flights and hotel stays. The best feature of this account is the fact that I am able to just use the miles to take a percentage off of a travel charge. For example, one time I did not have quite enough miles to cover the entirety of a $330 flight, but I used the miles I had and took $200 off of my statement, effectively making a cross country flight only cost $130. Aside from the miles aspect, I have had great customer service with this card as well. I lost my wallet once and it was very quick and painless to cancel the card and get a replacement. Discover also offers temporary virtual card numbers in case you want to order from a website that you're not sure if you should trust. This is, in my opinion, one of the best features although it tends to be one that people don't know about.

I have been primarily using my Miles Discover card for my work. With the amount of travel I have to book and the really nice miles features that come with this card, it was a pretty easy choice. What I especially like is that I can use the miles on a date. I have not yet had any problems redeeming for flights on any date, including weekends around the holidays. To me, that lack of date freedom is the worst feature of most frequent flyer miles. And this card really fixes that problem in a very hassle-free way. If you fly a lot, this card would be a good choice, in my opinion.

This card is fantastic. I use it for all of my business expenses and the miles just keep adding up. So far I am up to 200,000 miles. Basically, earning miles is just like earning points or cash back. The best part is that I can redeem the miles for flights on any airline or I can use them like points or cash to buy other things. Discover also lets you access “member” deals. These give you access to retailer promotions and discounts if you use your miles that you have earned. Overall the card is nice and I do not have any complaints.

If you're looking to cut corners on the rising cost of gas the card is a solid investment all around. As someone with an hour and a half commute time gas tends to be one of the most expensive setback when trying to make a living. This card helps so much with helping that situation along. The fact that reward miles never expire is also a boon because of all the possible vacation spending on gasoline that I do. Since my commute to work is only for a week at a time it's really quite helpful. As I've said before it's a good way to cut down on travel expenses when doing so passively.

I am an avid traveler and was recommended this card by a good traveling companion. I looked into it and applied. I was impressed with my Discover card (this is my first). It rewards you with miles and even better that the reward miles never expire. I recently had an issue where I got a call from Discover and they asked me about a questionable charge. I told them I had not made the charge and they instantly rejected it, cancelled my card, and sent me a replacement. I was SO grateful to Discover for monitoring my card and calling to check with me first. Truly wonderful customer service as well as great monitoring. This is such great peace of mind. If you are looking for an easy, no hassle card that will accumulate travel points as well, you have found your card!

I use my Miles by Discover Cardon everyday purchases so I can accumlate miles to take a family vacation. Am I saying that I get enough miles where I don't have to spend money? No. Of course not. But let's face it, we all use credit cards.. so why not get something back from one. It makes me feel better when I can cash in my miles and save a bit of money. More to spend on my vacation. The miles don't expire so I suppose you could save up your miles until you had enough to not have to use any cash out of pocket. Either way, this card is a great card to have. Customer service is great. I lost my card before and had a replacement card in no time. I recommend this card to my friends. Definately pleased with the card, the benefits and the service.

I enjoy traveling and I like to earn as many rewards as possible from my card and this card combines the two of these things perfectly. Plus you get the great customer service that I have come to expect from Discover. There is no lender that makes it easier to earn rewards, track your rewards, and redeem your rewards then Discover has. If you ever have a question or problem with your account they are always friendly and knowledgeable. If you travel a lot this card is great for you as you will earn points as you travel and then can redeem them to help you with your future travels.

I've dealt with tons of credit card companies in the past that claim to offer rewards and help you with your credit. I haven't met many very respectable companies, however with Miles by Discover, I was pleasantly surprised at the combination of rewards and fully functional credit card with no hidden fees. Signing up for this card was incredibly easy and the company was able to handle any problems with the process with ease. Customer support is very easy to get along with. Overall, I am very happy with this card and it has renewed some of my faith in the credit card industry. Highly useful and incredibly easy to obtain and use. Highly recommended.

I love my Discover card. As with all Discover cards, this one is one of the best. I use this as an everyday purchase card so I can accumulate miles. :) To me, I love the miles. It saves us money when traveling, which my husband and I do all the time. These miles are available to use at multiple airlines not just a particular one at a particular time. Which in my opinion is one of the greatest aspects. This is not usually an option for most mile reward cards. Discover is definately one of the best cards available. Highly recommended to anyone. Especially if you are using the card to build up mile rewards.

I loved the card as it gave cash back. But had to close it as I try to cut back on credit cards. I had good customer service experience at the time. They had a very good grace period of about a month which was ample amount of time to pay my fees. It was usable for any airline which was great because I used many different airlines. Most importantly there is no annual fee which makes this card wonderful. It is easy to rack up miles and you can easily score up some rewards. I would really recommend this card for anyone that travels frequently.

I don’t usually like to use credit cards as everyone knows the inherent problems involved with them, however I do think it’s important to maintain a consistent credit history. So I decided to find a card that first of all had an introductory period of 0% interest and then once that introductory period was over, the regular interest rate was pretty low. I chose the Discover Miles card because of these reasons. Also I liked the idea of being able to apply my purchase points to airline tickets as I like to travel. This has been a great card. Even with a missed payment (which was due to a misunderstanding – my fault mostly) I was able to maintain my low interest rate, they didn’t bump it up which they very easily could have. I would recommend this card.

I love this credit card so much. My husband and I travel multiple times throughout the year and we are always looking for a way to save money. This is the perfect credit card for people that are always traveling and on the go. One of the things that I like the most about this card is the fact that it is not linked to just one particular airline. You can use the bonus miles to book flights on any available airline, which is always a plus. Another added bonus is the fact that the credit card company provides collision damage insurance for rental cars that are paid for with this card. All of this plus you get a very good interest rate. I would recommend this card to anyone.

This card goes above and beyond any other credit card I've ever used. First they have great info on their site that will answer just about any question you have about the card. If you can't find your answer there then you can call their customer support up and they will gladly help you with any questions you have. They offer no annual fee which is awesome and makes this card even more desierable. They also offer travel rewards for your purchases that is great if you like to travel. Overall this is a great card and if you're looking for a card that's going to give you rewards back for using it then this is the card for you.

There are a lot of cards out there that offer no annual fee and some pretty nice rewards that can be used for a variety of things, most notably travel. This card, I've found, has advantages over others. One feature that I found unique and beneficial for a number of people was the educational material they have on their website that provides the means for people to learn how to better manage their money. But what got me was the protection they provide against fraud. The customer support has been incredible; the few times that I have had to call in I was treated with courtesy and respect. This is good card that I highly recommend.

I got this card in 2008 because they were offering a free GPS after first purchase. I had not intentions of it becoming my primary card, but it is. My wife and I like to take road trips so the $100.00 credit for travel is a wonderful perk. You get the 100.00 after accumulating 10,000 points. They always have promotions going on where you can get double miles/points. They are amazing to work with. I constantly get my rates lowered and the customer services reps are great to deal with. I would highly recommend this card to anyone and at the very least a card from Discover. It truly "Pays to Discover".

This is a wonderful card for harnessing your airline miles and making them work for you. If you travel even occasionally you'll see the benefit from this card. Since there's no annual fee, there's really no reason NOT to get it. Even if you're just making a few purchases on it here and there, you're eventually going to rack up enough for a nice relaxing vacation, completely passively. Also, Discover as a company in general is among the best to work with. They’ve actually been recognized as having the best customer service of any major credit card company for a few years now. So, if you get this card you really won’t regret it.

After starting my own company in the entertainment industry in which I travel a lot I decided on the Miles card. The 1,000 bonus miles every time you make a purchase for the first month is very attractive to me. I'm often entertaining clients and this goes hand in hand in the way I run my business. I've found it to be quite convenient. I am a fan of being able to use the card with any airline, hotel, with no blackout dates, etc... I don't always read the fine print but was shocked when I saw I received 12,000 miles just for opening the card. Miles also provides me with secondary collision insurance when I rent vehicles during my travel which I often do. I really have no complaints about Miles by Discover. The only suggestion I have is not use the car unless you plan on traveling or work in an industry that requires you to travel. Just seems to make more sense.

I absolutely love this Discover card! I've had the account for over a year now and really can't say anything bad about it. The perks are fantastic- great points for the first twelve months of purchases and I can use the points on more than just airline tickets! The balance transfer is a bonus and the interest is really quite good for a rewards card. Of course, the whole point of having a card like this is to not carry a balance, but I can definitely see the benefits of this card if someone were to have to. Customer service has never been an issue, and it's incredibly easy to access the account online. No complaints here!

This was the first (and now, only) airline miles card I ever had. I was really skeptical on how hard it would be to use and earn miles, and then of course, trying to redeem them. A friend of mine in my business had recommended it, since we all travel quite a bit. I knew I had to get something, since I felt that I was missing out because of how often I fly. So I applied, and started earning even before my first trip. They automatically credited my account with 12,000 miles, and from then on, I was hooked! Since I use this card for a lot of everyday purchases, my miles added up fairly quickly. The redemption was fairly easy also. I anticipated a lot of red tape and hassle, but that wasn't so, and I was able to book flights with the miles almost as easily as I book my regular business travel flights. I like that it also has no annual fee, which has always been a little pet peeve of mine when credit card companies charge that to good customers. I highly recommend this card as THE way to earn and redeem your airline miles.

I thought this card was the bees knees when I first got it and it really was. I was saving up to go to China to teach English for a year and I wanted miles to travel around China and other countries. The benefits are awesome- you get bonus miles and it seems pretty easy to rack up more miles. The catch? Discover isn't accepted by a lot of airlines. Sure, it's accepted in the United States pretty regularly, but Visa is the big seller for international travel. So, yes, the benefits are amazing (and I'm enjoying the benefits again now that I'm back in the United States) but as a travel card....it's really best for domestic travel in the United States rather than international travel. The idea is great but the execution is pretty bad. I thought it was neat through- you can use your travel miles at Amazon.com or for other cool things (partner sites) instead of being restricted to only miles. Would highly recommend despite the international travel aspirations.

Miles discover card is really good especially when traveling by airline, with its many bonuses you can receive. As soon as you join, you get and receive a 12,000 bonus miles! Just for all new members; which is a whole lot! The only catch here is better than all the other cards, you only have to make a purchase in each of the following months for 12 months straight. With a easy task like that, who wouldn't go for it, right? In fact they also give you a extra mile for every dollar you spend on your trip as well as offering double miles on your first 3,000 miles you travel. All these bonuses are freaking fantastic! They all stack up that getting the card itself is one good investment you can put your money into. There are also no annual fees in getting the Miles Discovery Card; I would give this discover thing a 11/10 if it were a movie.

I love this card Honestly, the rewards for this card trully is rewarding. I used my rewards for car parts, cash, and so much more! Although, I am new to the whole credit card world, I learned quick that its easy to get carried away. Discover helps you budget your money. My favorite thing of all is they show you how you are spending your money, and in the long run, this helps you see what needs to be cut down. Another plus is even after having just one capital one card with a small limit, discover approved my credit, and my credit is built up higher than it has ever been before! Also, compared to the other credit company I have used (capital one) when it comes to paying the bill, discover takes out the money on the day it is SCHEDULED. However, with the other company, this was not the case. I give discover 20 thumbs up!

I’ve looked at a number of miles credit cards tied to particular airlines, but not everyone is brand specific when it comes to air travel. Those who aren’t can really benefit from a credit card offering generic rewards miles, such as the Miles by Discover Card. This card, which is obviously issued by Discover and is on the Discover network, doesn’t have an annual fee but does offer some interesting rewards, especially in terms of its initial rewards bonus. While most cards with initial bonuses offer them after the first purchase or after you spend a certain amount during the first couple months, the Miles Discover card takes a slightly different approach, giving users 1,000 bonus points each month they make a purchase during the first year of membership. It also gives you 2 miles for each $1 you spend at restaurants and on travel up to $3000 per year as well as 1 mile for each $1 spent on everything else with no spending cap. These miles won’t expire, but you will forfeit them if you close your account, your account is inactive for 18 months or you don’t manage to make a minimum payment for two consecutive months. Discover enables you to redeem these miles for travel on any airline, rental cars, gift cards, cash, even charitable donations. Ultimately though, since you don’t have an affinity for a particular airline, you’re going to get the credit card offering the absolute best rewards. If you’re simply interested in finding a card with the best initial bonus, the Miles by Discover Card is not the best fit, given that it requires monthly spending to garner only 12,000 miles. Compare that to the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card, which is currently offering 50,000 bonus points to cardholders who spend $3,000 in the first three months and allows you to transfer these points to various airlines’ frequent flyer programs without sacrificing value. You can probably do better than the Discover Miles Card if you want ongoing generic airline rewards as well. The Venture Card from Capital One offers 10,000 initial bonus miles as well as 2 miles/$1 spent on all purchases. This rewards structure is what led Money Magazine to dub the Venture Card as the most rewarding credit card in terms of free flights.
