NFL Extra Points Credit Card's Additional Info
Special Financing with no interest for 6 months on NFL Tickets when you spend $250 or more at NFL Team Ticket Offices, Ticketmaster and SeatGeek with your NFL Extra Points Visa Credit Card.
Worth it for the discount alone. By far the best part of the NFL Credit Card, also known as the NFL Extra Points Credit Card, is the 20% discount it gets you on all com purchases. In other words, simply being a cardholder earns you a permanent 20%-off sale on everything from jerseys and apparel to tailgating equipment and office décor. You normally need some kind of coupon code to score that sort of deal. And since the NFL Extra Points Card doesn’t charge an annual fee, there’s little reason not to apply if you spend a lot at the NFL’s online store each year.
Solid signing bonus. The NFL Visa Card gives you $100 for spending $500 within 90 days of account opening. Considering that you need 2,500 points for $25 cash back, that bonus is worth $100. And an initial earning rate of 20% is very good, even if you can get much more in dollar terms elsewhere.
Meager ongoing rewards. Surprisingly, the points part of the NFL Extra Points Card offer isn’t really one of its strong suits. Earning 3 points / $1 spent on tickets to games and in-stadium purchases is pretty good, equaling 3% cash back and 2 points / $1 spent on grocery store, food delivery, restaurants, gyms and sporting goods purchases equaling 2% cash back. But all other purchases made with the NFL Card yield just 1 point / $1 (1% back). For context, that’s just on the wrong side of average (1.15% back) for a rewards card.
All team designs. Sure, you like the NFL in general. But you also have a favorite team. And you can rep your rooting interest every time you pull out plastic to pay because the NFL Card can be customized with any of the 32 teams’ colors and logo. So the NFL Credit Card can become the New England Patriots Credit Card, the Dallas Cowboys Credit Card, etc. Regardless of which design you pick, the card’s terms will be the same.
Good credit required. Among the only groups of regular NFL shoppers who should not apply for the NFL Credit Card are those with fair, limited or bad credit. You need at least good credit to even qualify, which rules out more than 40% of football fans, according to WalletHub research. So you may want to check your latest credit score for free on WalletHub before you fill out an application. And if you discover that you do have good or excellent credit, you may want to check out our editors’ picks for the best rewards credit cards overall. After all, you probably don’t want to make the NFL Rewards Card your everyday plastic.
Doesn’t make the roster for financing. People who don’t plan to pay their bill in full every month shouldn’t get the NFL Credit Card, either. Yes, the card offers 0% intro APRs purchases. But its 0% for 6 months purchase rate is well below average in terms of length. And its followed by a regular APR that has the potential to be nearly double the average for a new credit card offer, according to WalletHub’s latest Credit Card Landscape Report.

Same problem as everyone else. The card shows an available balance, but you can't use it because they take forever to post your payments. I will pay mine off and close it. Not worth the hassle.

Verified Customer
They magically couldn't find my banking information for my first payment. They never notified me that my payment didn't go through (the website showed the payment as completed when submitted) until weeks later, when I tried to use the card and it got declined. I called to find out that my account was suspended for 90 days because of their error, and I have been charged a late fee. Even after I have submitted proof that my account and routing numbers are correct, they don't care. I am contacting the CFPB because this feels like a scam.

good for NFL fans but be ready for bad customer service and a IT infrastructure that goes dark for weeks and nobody cares. They do upgrades on their systems during the day and then unexpected downtime is extended for weeks. I have good credit / many credit cards and spend some of my Business expense via this card , works normally but they go cheap on redemptions always limited , no advanced notice when the tickets are posted , compared to my airline / Hotel credit cards way more of a hassle and I am used to Delta Airlines....

This card WAS great. Until Comenity took over. Supposed to get 0% interest on NFL ticket purchases. Was charged interest on season ticket purchases and when I called nobody could give me an answer or solve the issue. And good luck redeeming your points. The redemption site is trash and doesn't work.

Wish I could give negative stars... When Comenity bought out Barlay for this CC it's been a downward spiral. I had 0 issues w/ Barclay! I received notification of the buy out but nothing else. About 1 month later my CC was declined. This is a CC I use for business. I never max it out & always pay the bill. This was a big shock to be declined, annoying, inconvenient & a little embarrassing. I called Barclay & they give me Comenity's #. When I called them they indicated that they issued a new CC & the old one was cancelled. The letter I received did not contain any of this information. Most recently I had a dispute filed for 2 reoccurring charges for a company misrepresenting themselves as OSHA. I filed the claim for 2 charges w/ in 40 days after the 1st charge. Several months passed & nothing had been done. I called again & was told that nothing had been done & they would re-activate the dispute. Re-activate the dispute - excuse me? It has now been 6 months since I filed the dispute. I logged in on line & sent a message questioning what is going on. The response I got was over the top. It indicated they can do nothing through the on line messaging & that I only had 60 days to file the dispute, which I had done. I decided to call & 1 last time ask to speak w/ a manager. On previous calls when I asked to speak to a supervisor or manager I was told there are none or no one is available. Today I finally got to speak w/ a "manager". He was just slightly better than the trained monkeys I have dealt w/ thus far. He was just slightly better. He missed 1/2 of my initial explanation & I had to repeat all the details of the dispute again. He then parroted back to me everything he found in the system & indicated he could do nothing or offer me any insight into why nothing has been done on this dispute or why there is finding & no contact w/ the parties who charged me. He actually told me to send a message on line as there is no way to talk to the dispute department - are you kidding me?!?! I explained that I had & it got me nowhere. If you like a card w/ absolutely no support & being able to talk to trained monkeys & mindless idiots, then this is the card for you. Comenty is the absolutely the worst CC or credit company I have ever dealt with. As a business owner you deal w/ a lot CC & credit companies & issues arise. I'm going to phase out using this card & switch to another one for my business. DO NOT GET THIS CARD & IF YOU DO HAVE IT RUN FAST & FAR!!!!

Same happened to me, I got a "new" card within a month of receiving the comenity card. They also do NOT give 3% points for NFL ticket purchases as promised and would not fix it when I called.

I found that out today after not using my card since March. I even called ahead of time to alert them that I was gonna make a major purchase. Then when I got to the establishment, it declined anyway it was very embarrassing. Their excuse was well it was a system issue.

So, I got a credit card and made one purchase
I received a bill.
I tried to pay online- my account can’t be found
I called in- my account can’t be found
I send a check by mail “just in case”
I called in three more times
One rep told me to not worry, the card works and “no account, no payment!” No joke. I was advised that this is “free money”. Uh huh
Finally connected with Alta in Colorado, ticket number 1837. She let me know that the company had a computer change over, and that I was one of the few accounts that still was “lost“. She gave me the ticket number to reference so I could have any and all late fees waived. Alta, thank you for being effective.
My check went through the next day. Yay!
I called to verify that my account is current… they still could not find my account.
… then I received a statement in the mail with a late fee. When I called back, they “waived the late fee”, even though they still cannot find my account. Uh… ok
I received an email today, indicating a late fee and then an additional finance charge on the late fee. My credit was hit for lack of payment of the late fee
Oh, They found my account today. After over 5 hours of dealing with this company’s admitted system errors, I have it sorted out. They told me to be grateful that the finance charges, fees, and the credit report have been addressed and fixed. “It’s like nothing happened.”
Four Managers into it, and they refused to compensate me for the five hours of my time I’ve had to spend on their computer issues, both with them, as well as the credit reporting authorities. They said I can “file a complaint”- but when I asked manager number for what that result would be, she had nothing to say.

Since this card has changed to Comenity from Barclays it's been a disaster. Customer service is difficult to get ahold of, once you do they put you on hold and then hang up on you. Since the switch to Comenity, nobody can redeem any reward points. We're talking 6 months! It's a complete disaster. If you're considering this card, please wait until Comenity no longer is in charge of it.

Today Moya tried to tell me I was wrong on 0% interest on NFL ticket purchase and I had to get Tracy to remove the interest 2nd time. The training of employees is crucial and it is obvious that Comenity Bank does not believe in training properly, I have been a manager for a Fortune 500 company for over 20 years and training is as only as good as you train your employees, I had no problems with Barclays, but since the switch to Comenity has been a disaster, NFL needs to rethink this because this company definitely needs some work…Train your personal and make sure they know what promotions that the card has , fix it because when my deal is done I am going to cancel my card and Tracy the Supervisor is aware of this because I asked for a credit for my 45:24 on the phone this time and Tracy the Supervisor felt it was better to lose a good customer than issue a small credit. Get it fixed cause you are going to lose a lot more than me…. Mark
