This was my first credit card and I still use it today because I never have a hassle when I use it. Definitely a good one for anyone just starting out in college.

First Progress Platinum Elite Secured Credit Card is great for people with less than satisfactory credit. I had credit issues due to unpaid health bills and First Progress was one of the first cards I could get with my credit score at that time. The APR is very high on this card, but what do you expect with bad credit. Also recently this card offered me a higher credit limit without increasing my security deposit. I did appreciate that, but I will probably get rid of this card soon because of the high APR.

I am thinking of applying to this company to build my credit. I think that your idea of using it to establish credit would be good for me also. I like the fact that the company increased your credit limit without increasing your deposit. This may be just what I need.

I wasn't too happy with this card. First off, no one told me that the due date for the card was the same for everyone, so if you get paid on a certain day of the month (yes, month... I'm only paid once a month) it might make it extremely difficult to juggle everything. I would've waited to set up the card another month to make sure that the billing would be in line. Other than that, it's a good card for rebuilding credit. My score was low, and I noticed after a quarter that it seemed to be on the mend. So if you're able to have the weird more

After using store credit cards to help me establish a bit of credit, I then decided to apply for a secured credit card. This one was the best from the research I did. At first, I did not like the fact that I had to pay 300 dollars to use it, but that's just what you have to do to start building credit so you can qualify for unsecured credit cards. The good thing is that the 300 dollar security deposit was/is refundable. There is an annual fee of 39 dollars, but that isn't bad at all. 39 dollars is nothing in the grand scheme of things. This card did more

The First Progress Platinum Prestige Secured Credit card is a great card for those just starting out, or trying to rebuild their poor credit rating. This is one of the cards I started out with before I qualified for unsecured credit, and it really did help my credit rating quite a bit. One of the things I like most about this one is that the security deposit is refundable, unlike some others, and that there are no monthly maintenance fees. Overall this is not a bad card to start out with compared to some others out there. I give this one a 4 out of 5 star rating.

I really love the First Progress Platinum Elite Mastercard. It is a secured card and meant for those with mad credit, like me. This card allowed me to obtain a credit limit based on my deposit, and as I paid my bill each month I was able to get my score up. It has a very low annual fee, and no additional monthly fees like a lot of other cards charge. After using this card for over a year, I was able to get many unsecured credit card offers. I highly recommend this card to anyone out there who is having trouble getting credit or has prior problems, it will more

First Progress Platinum Elite Mastercard Credit Card is another generic secured card for beginners and people trying to get out of the hole of bad credit. You set your own deposit at a FDIC secured bank and use it, simple. Only real downside is it being a Mastercard, you're better off finding something like a Capitol One secure card, or Bank of America Secure card. I've personally used Capitol Ones, when first starting off in the credit world, works exactly the same, but its visa. Visa cards are more accepted than Mastercard in most scenarios. The only fault you could find with this card besides that is the $39/yr annual more

The First Progress Platinum Elite Secured Credit Card is not a bad card overall. It allows those with limited credit to get access to a credit card, although it does require you to make a deposit of the amount you want to be on the card which I dont like. I would prefer a card with a semi or partial secured amount. like I pay 200 and get 400 on the card.So It does have its trade offs but if your in a bind and really need to build up your credit this is a great card to start with, every month it reports to all three credit bureaus so more

The First Progress Platinum Elite Secured Credit Card is pretty good as it has an annual fee of just $29 (most secured cards have really high annual fees). It also improves your credit by reporting to credit agencies monthly. It is quite similar to the Capital One Secured Mastercard, as it also has an annual fee of $29, but it has a higher interest rate on purchases (22.99%) compared to the First Progress amount of 19.99%. Neither of the cards offer rewards or cash back, but they are simple, do not have lots of different fees and are good choices.
