The shell card is a new card offered by Citi bank and is accepted where all MasterCard’s are. Compared to other cards, like the Chase Amazon Rewards card, the Shell card offers much better rewards. Most cards only give 5 cents back, but the Shell card gives ten, 15 and 20 depending on the amount spent in a billing cycle. This makes it much easier to use and spend rewards. If you travel a ton and use a lot of gas, this is definitely the reward credit card for you. The rewards however can only be used on gas, which compared to the Chase Amazon reward card can be used more

The Shell Credit Card is offered by Citi and has a pretty high interest rate of 23.99%. It is a rewards card and the rewards are earned in the form of savings on gas purchased at Shell stations. You earn 10, 15 or 20 cents off per gallon of gas based upon how much you spend in a cycle. The rewards aren't very flexible nor are they high enough to counteract the inflexibility. I would suggest a card that offers cash back like the Quicksilver or Amex Blue.

Look elsewhere! The terms of the Shell credit card make it a very disappointing credit card, unless perhaps you use this as your primary card, charge $500+ per month (and pay off your balance monthly, as the APR for this card is outrageous!) Also notable is that Shell gasoline is generally .10 more expensive than competitors! You would be better off going with another card. Amazon Rewards does not have a purchase floor you have to hit to begin earning or using the rewards (at Amazon), the APR is more reasonable, you can use your rewards in a number of ways (not just for Amazon rewards, you can use rewards more

I have got this card and I transferred money to it on 5th august. But money didnt get credited to my shell card till 18th aug. Whenever I call they will say that 'Will call back in 24hrs' which will never come. Once they said to verify with bank, I did that . Bank said 'Money credited to shell on 7th Aug itself' and they have sent the proof of successful transaction as well. I informed the same to shell services, but there was no action taken from their end. THERE IS NO PROPER SERVICE FROM SHELL AND SERVICE SUCKS TO THE CORE. ITS BEEN 13 DAYS BUT NO ACTION more

Through reading the information regarding this card, I know that I would not be inclined to attain the Shell Credit Card. Firstly, the "max earn" in regards to cents off per gallon is only twenty cents. While this sounds good on the surface, I think that achieving that max earn is not as easy as it looks. Users may be getting less than twenty cents on a regular basis. This would also take a long time to add up, in my opinion. In addition, the card requires the user spend 500 dollars at least in the first billing cycle. I personally know that I would not get near this amount more

This card is actually not really worth trying to go for the .20 on gallon gas at the pumps. I will have to disagree with saving money though using this card. If your still wanting to save some money without all the hassle of remembering to pay your credit card off with Shell, I recommend "My Shell Bucks" You still save money with .03 on the gallon, and the quality of gas is better for the Cadillac converter. This was recommended by the Honda dealership that did an emissions test on my car.

With it being a gas credit card, I wouldn't expect to get cash back on everyday expenses which is a major plus. However, the interest rate and the fact that you have to spend $500 or more just to get fuel credit is a little steep for a credit of 010 on the first 100 gallons. It doesn't seem worth it. I do like that their is no annual fee which a lot of cards these days have an annual fee with their rewards cards. For me, I don't think this card would benefit me in the long run. Maybe if they lowered the interest rate and maybe changed the more

This card does not seem to be worth it. I do not like the fact that you have to spend $500 or more to earn a credit of 10 cent on the first 100 gallons. I don't like that the max. earn is .20 cents. That will take a long time to really earn rewards. I think that $35 dollars is a lot for a late fee. It does offer cash back rewards but it seems like you have to spend a lot to get this benefit. I would not recommend this card.

This Shell Credit Card is significantly better than most store-tied credit cards I've seen. You can obtain points from a variety of purchases and redeem them for gas credit. Of course, in order to redeem the points, you need to go to Shell gas stations which tend to be more expensive than their competitors, so the money saved may not actually matter if you're paying extra at the pump initially. I'd carefully compare various gas station prices before choosing to open this account.

This Shell Credit card would be of no use to me. I have no car so therefore only providing "rewards" in the form of fuel discounts would not save me any money. What does save me money is my Visa Travel Rewards Card, which provides me up to about 1.5 percent back by reducing my monthly bill.

I think this card is too limiting and the terms and conditions are kind of cumbersome. I wouldn't have any interest in this card when there are many other cards with more comprehensive options.

I don't spend enough on gas to justify having the Shell credit card. I would feel like I would have to always go to a shell station to earn the extra cash back, and this is not convenient for me. I prefer my Chase Credit Card. No annual fee and every quarter there is a special 5% rate for certain purchases.

The Shell Credit Card offer receives a 5 out of 10 scoring with me. On the surface the Shell Credit Card seems ideal for those persons who drive a lot and are looking to save a few pennies at the pump, however as I study the qualifications to receive any substantial savings at the pump, a consumer must first spend at least $500 dollars in a spending cycle; ergo a monthly billing cycle. I am not saying that it's a difficult task to spend $500 dollars a month but if you micro-analyzed the offer you would find that you are spending $500 and being charged their finance charge to reach more

The Shell Credit Card is a great card for someone who purchases a lot of fuel. It offers great rewards in this area, and compared to my Discover rewards card the interest rate is not too bad. I like the discounts associated with both cards, but for the frequent traveler the gas rewards are good. However, you must use Shell affiliated gas stations in order to take advantage of their fuel rewards program. The cash advance rate is somewhat high, but that is expected from most credit cards. I have one of these cards, and would recommend it to others as well.

I like how this card earns money towards gas. My discover card only gives me cash back but not specifically towards gas which is what i want. I also think that the $35 max late fee is a positive due to the fact that the discover card late fee is upwards of $50.

The Shell Credit Card is a pretty average gas card. If you go to Shell only for your gas, this would be a great card for you though. The discount you get off gas is a nice amount. The interest rate isn't good though, and the card doesn't offer very much. Even if you did shop at Shell a lot, I'm sure there are other cards as well that can provide more such rewards. Over-all, this is a pretty lackluster card compared to other cards on the market.

I like the fact that you can use the Shell Credit card on every day purchases and that these purchases count toward cents off on your fuel purchases, as well as future every day purchases! Every penny counts in this day and age and so rewards like these pay off!! If you can afford to pay off your credit card balance every month, this is a great card to have! The main thing I don't like about it is that the interest rate is so high. This is where credit cards will kill you, especially if you really don't have the money to pay it off each month, it'll just more

I think that the Shell Credit Card is a great card to have, because everyone has
to get gas. There is no annual fee on the card, and no hidden charges. The interest
rate is kind of high at 23.99%, but I like how they offer rewards on, not only gas, but also
on other everyday purchases like groceries, cell phone bills, and dry cleaning. Shell
gas stations are very convenient to find, so it would be easy for me to get
there for my gas purchases.

This Shell Credit Card is better than most other gas station cards you'll come across because it works on the Master Card network. This is useful since a lot of gas cards are store cards and can only be used at gas stations run by the specific brand. With this card, you can certainly use it at Shell, but you can also use it anywhere else you shop and rack up the points. Since we all need to purchase gas, having rewards that help make gas less expensive is always a bonus. The interest rate is a little high, but that's to be expected with a card like this. As more

The Shell Credit Card is an extremely wonderful card to have. There are at least five Shell gas stations near me and it is extremely convenient. This is one of the few gas stations that offer rewards that really make a difference off of what you pay. In comparison to the BP Credit Card, the Shell Credit Card offers better rewards for what you pay. Practically everywhere you go there will be a Shell gas station. I refuse to get gas from anywhere else because of how great the benefits are.

The Shell Credit Card makes it clear this company knows how to do rewards that work for ordinary people. The best part is the reward for buying gas at a Shell station (as far as I know, Shell has stations practically everywhere). You need to spend a bit first to qualify for it, but with a decent interest rate and minimal fees this is a card that will quickly become a favorite for regular use.

The Shell Credit Card offers the ability to get rewards like 10 cents off per gallon if you spend $500 on one billing cycle. This reward seems a little outlandish. Alternatively, I can spend $100 at my local grocery store in a month without a credit card and get the same discount on gas. With a max earn of 20 cents per gallon and a rather high APR, you're looking at, really, saving $20 per month, and that's only if you put $1000 on the card and use 100 gallons of gas a month. In my personal opinion, this doesn't seem worth it.

The reward on this card is 10 cents per gallon after you spend $500 in one billing cycle on qualified purchases. I personally can't imagine myself placing $500 on a credit card (for qualified purchases) in a month in order to save 10 cents on a gallon of gas when I only fill up 2 times a month and have a small gas tank in which I rarely buy more than 10 gallons. This would amount to about $2 dollars saved over the course of a month for me and hardly worth it. The interest rate is also extremely high at nearly 24%. We have a gas card from another more

The Shell Credit Card offers cash back on products you would purchase in your everyday life like groceries, dry cleaning, cell phone and of course, gas. What I really like about this card is that it’s a MasterCard, which means it is accept at most retailers. There is no annual fee, which is a big plus, other cards have an annual fee ranging from $20-$100. One drawback I see with this card is the high interest rate. At 23.99% APR, customers will not have a hard time finding a card with a much lower rate. The card offers 10 cents credit per gallon if you spend more than $500 on more

This is an interesting choice for a gas credit card. The bonus cash back option is somewhat rewarding, but the interest rate is very high on this card. If you plan to pay off your charges in full every month this might be the card for you, but otherwise I wouldn't bother. Unless you drive a lot, perhaps as part of your job, the 10 cents back on gallons of gas won't really be noticeable either. Overall, though, this is a solid card in comparison to some of the other gas station cards available on the market. Just don't let your payment go late!

When I had my Shell Credit Card I had several complaints. The interest rate has always been extremely high and it's still close to 24%, which is a bit of a drawback. Although, it's still comparable to other gas credit cards. The cash advance fee is terrible and their reward points are abysmal. I would really only recommend this card to a company that has daily drivers that rack up a lot of miles. Their max late fee is average and so is their grace period but there isn't anything positive about the Shell Credit Card that stands out. The only thing I like about this card is their online more

The Shell Credit Card would be decent if I purchased gasoline from Shell often. However, I don't have a car, so I only buy gas if I'm renting a car. I tend to rent cars only about once or twice a year, therefore the $0.20 back per gallon of gas would not add up to much for me.
The interest rate of 23.99% seems to be standard these days, unfortunately. However, since the Shell Credit Card requires good to excellent credit- perhaps it would be easy to negotiate a lower rate after making payments on time for a while.
I don't like that applicants cannot get an approval decision online. more

I would not rank the Shell Credit Card as one of the best to have. It is fairly restrictive in the fact it can be used only for gas (Shell) purchases. There is no annual fee to carrying the card (which is pretty standard) and interest rate is lower than other credit cards you may find available but higher than some offering competitive rates. The biggest benefit I can see is that it pays you a credit of 10¢ per gallon . Other than the convenience of using a credit card as opposed to cash (or another card) the 10 cent per gallon credit, there are no enticing benefits to more

A card that is solely used for the purchase of fuel and nothing else! I hold an account with Citi and applied for a card when I bought a car as I could easily acquire one without much hassle. Strictly for fuel purchase, expect nothing more! Interest rates are extremely high and defaulting could cause serious trouble. The reward ration works out to just 2% and thats nothing big to boast about. However, I could easily get this card due to my eligibility without much paper work and thats the only reason I went about buying this! I guess Bank of America's reward points are a bit higher, not sure though!!

The shell credit card is just alright. It is good if you go to shell a lot, then you'll save 20 cents per gallon. It does add up, but it takes a while before you can see a good amount of savings. Other credit card companies like Discover and Bank of America gives 3-5% cash back when you use those credit cards at the pump. It just depends on what you need this credit card for. Shell does not always have the cheapest gas price, but they have good quality gas. A better gas credit card would be the costco american express credit card.

As far a bonus cards go this isn't the best one unless you buy your gas at shell. Around here it's the only gas stations in town so the cards really useful for me. The only great thing about this card is the 20 cents a gallon bonus which is 10 cents more the my Chase credit card gives me. I just make sure to pay the balance off at the end of the month and I'm saving 20 cents a gallon by the middle of the month. So far it's made a big difference in my savings and ever little penny helps right now. When I have been hit more

The Shell Credit Card is not that great when you compare it to other rewards cards out there. If you spend $500 in a single month they will give you 10 cents off per gallon on up to 100 gallons of gas on your next billing cycle. If you were to spend exactly $500 on the card to get the benefit, you would get at most $10 off your gas. That's the equivalent of 2% back. And with every dollar you spend over $500, your savings goes down as the rewards are worth worse. There is also a really high interest rate at 23.99% which means you ideally want to be paying it off every single month.

Shell Credit Card does get quite use in our family. We make a point to buy gasoline only from shell, my father used to buy gas from only shell too. Kind of like a family tradition for us. This card is nothing special and has a high interest rate, so I make a point of paying the balance in every cycle. I have Citibank accounts and I feel comfortable using this card. I have had this card for years and I have maximized my benefits using this card over the years. Doesn’t everyone like bonus rewards? Also their customer service is great too.

The Shell Credit Card is not really anything too special. The interest rate is kind of steep on this, and there's no variation on it, which kind of sucks. One good thing is that you can check your card's statements and other information online, making it a lot easier to track spending or just do a quick check on your last purchases. The rewards are kind of hard to hit if you have a car with good mileage, or just don't use that much gas. Also, the discount per gallon of gas will likely be mitigated by the increase in price for using credit, making the rewards only alright.

The main issue I see with this card is the insane interest rate! I understand that most cards have high interest rates, especially these days, but I wouldn't feel comfortable using this beyond gas purchases because of the fact that they do offer incentives. I could see this card being very beneficial if you spend a lot of time on the road because Shell stations are everywhere. All of the other information seems fairly typical of cards; the cash advance fee, the maximum late penalty and grace period, etc. I don't see it being any better or worse than most cards in that respect.

Now this Shell Credit Card here's a gas card with some interesting caveats, so you should pay careful attention to how they reward you. You earn cash back on everyday stuff, though I'm not sure how much, so that's troubling. Then, of course, the gas rewards, which stipulates that you need to purchase $500 or more in one billing cycle, in order to gain 10 cents off per gallon up to 100 gallons for the next cycle. The max earn is 20 cents though, so maybe if you spend more? I would recommend this only if you're planning on paying very regularly with this, and you desperately need the gas more

The Shell card is an extremely useful card to own. Every credit card has its ups and downs, but with this card you get many benefits such as money towards gas, groceries. and many other things. The great part is that you get bonuses when you use this card towards gas purchases which is a plus compared to other credit cards! With gas prices skyrocketing like they have been, it's nice to have a card that will give you money back towards more fuel-ups. I would definitely recommend this card if there are lots of Shell stations around your house or your job because otherwise it won't be as convenient more

The Citibank Shell credit card is very useful and handy. Whenever, I want to go pick up some gas, I feel comfortable paying the amount I do for gas and getting a bit back for it. You get %5 back when you pump gas at any Shell using this credit card. Though the amount is not an incredible amount, it is still something I get back, like a small discount. This credit card is great to use anywhere else as well and since it is a MasterCard, transaction using this card is very smooth and easy. I have had a Shell Credit Card for years. It is the one card that I don’t see myself getting rid of. There are a few expenses that you can’t avoid, so why not maximize your benefits and rewards while purchasing them? I used to struggle to know exactly how much I spent on gas every month because you don’t always fill up on the same day of the week and the prices constantly change, so I got this card to use just for gas purchases.
