We have been a regular card holder for over 50 yrs. My husband the main card holder, myself also w/ one. He passed away 2 yrs ago, I continued to use my card once a week, and make the monthly payments. During a discussion with a person regarding a charge, I mentioned that he was deceased and they might wish to record it. Information was given with no comment. About 10 days later, after I filled with $35 gas, my card was "denied". After 4 tries, I had to pay the attendant with my "debit card". Still not knowing why. I phoned, was told that my husband was the main more

I do not always get a bill so I try to paying more than I owe so that I won't go into negative when I do not get the bill. They won't credit it and instead return the over payment. Their late charges are $29 and it is impossible to verify anything as I cannot log onto their on-line site and when I call, I get someone who doesn't speak or understand English. Then, I finally understand that I have to call another place, but that place is CLOSED. I think the problem is with Citibank, but I still have to cancel my Shell Card after 35 years as Citibank more

I love my Shell Gas Station MasterCard !! I earn gas discounts for every single dollar I spend! I can earn up to 20 cents off my first one hundred gallons per month!! I can use my 25 grace period to pay off my entire balance each month and so I avoid interest charges. The Shell Gas Station MasterCard comes with no annual fee. I love this card, I use it frequently and love the gas savings!! They are incredible!!

I think the reward is beneficial to those who travel a lot and use the same gas station. While the idea of having 20 cents per gallon is appealing, you would need to use the same gas station each time you fill up. Now if you plan accordingly this can easily be solved and worth the savings. I personally would use the offer if I traveled more but I simply don't. Cheers to those who benefit from it.

The Shell Credit Card seems like it doesn't have much going for it, in my opinion. The bonuses aren't very rewarding. You have to purchase $500 in a billing cycle to get .10 cents a gallon. If you spend $1000, you get .15 cents a gallon, and so forth. I'd like to have to spend less in a billing cycle to get these discounts and rewards.

The idea to save money off gas with the shell card is a really good one. I do like that u can save money with this card. The downside is that you have to spend a lot of money in order to save any. If u spend a lot of money on gas I would say this card might be worth using.

The Shell card is a good card for those people that use the same gas station every time they fill up. The appeal of the card is that you can earn up to 20 cents off of every gallon which is actually fairly high compared to some other cards. However to earn this 20 cents off you have to make quite a few gas purchases which most daily commuters probably won't reach unless to have quite a bit of spontaneous driving. Overall it's not a bad card to get if you prefer Shell as your gas station of choice.

The Shell Credit Card serves its purpose. It gives you rewards when you use it to pay for gas which is great. I like the bonuses that are offered and that is is backed by Citibank. The biggest disadvantage is that you cannot use this card anywhere else. In comparison to my current Discover card, the Shell Card lacks because you cannot use it anywhere else. My Discover card gives me 5% cash back for gas purchases.

There are a few perks to the card, but it does not make the top of the list. The perks are no annual fees and gas rewards. However, I don't drive enough to receive even the lowest reward at .10 cents off per gallon. I much prefer a card that rewards you for every dollar spent. Also, comparatively this card has a higher interest rate than other I have reviewed. This is not an attractive card to me at all.

This is not a credit card for me. You have to spend $1000 dollars in one billing cycle to be rewarded a $.15/gallon gas credit. Even the rewards formula is confusing. $500 for $.10, $1000 for $.15 and $2499.99 for $.20 per gallon rewards. The 24% variable interest rate is very high. There is also no fraud protection offered.

The Shell Credit Card is not the best credit card out there. Truthfully, you are better off staying away from gasoline bonus credit cards for other cards that provide you with cash back that you can simply put towards gasoline. Spending $1000 for .10 cents off per gallon is not worth it (in my mind), although this discount is higher than other gasoline credit cards. The APR for this credit card is lower than others, but it still quite lofty. Unless you are in a pinch, I would take your business elsewhere to find a better credit card.

I have always had capital one and I've used it consistently for my travel and automobile needs. Reviewing the Shell card, the limits on earning for amount paid is amazing. The price per gallon is higher than what I have seen before and I'm guessing this is because it is a shell card which is known as a good gas price card. The interest rate is better than I was used to getting and the cash advance fee is only 5 percent which is much lower than I am used to. I have always thought that the interest rate I had paid in the past was normal but seeing the more

Don't pay them with your bank's billpayer program. Even though it is an electronic transfer Shell said it can take up to five business days to process it and apply it to your account, for which you will be charged a late charge and interest. Quicker to send a check through snail mail!

This card seems like a great idea, but there's too many disadvantages in comparison to other options out there. For example, the interest rate is 23.99%. In comparison, the Capital One Venture card has an interest rate ranging from 13.9% to 20.9%. If you have good credit, it would seem to be a no brainer to go with another option.
Another thing worth mentioning is, with the Capital One Venture card, you can spend your rewards on things like hotels, flights, car rentals, cruises, and more. With this Shell Mastercard, you only get to spend your rewards on gas. For someone who does not own a car, this rewards system more

This card is a Shell Mastercard, so it's accepted where Mastercard is accepted. Now right off the bat, reviewing terms and fees makes this card the worst performing card and even probably the worst performing Mastercard branded credit credit. There are no advantages to this card.

No rewards, no bonuses and there's only a $0.20 rebate per gallon of case; the rebate is merely a discount. Since the cardholder would obviously be using the credit card, as the transaction comes through, $0.20 per gallon would be knocked-off (discounted.) Of course, this would only be for Shell locations because Shell wouldn't inventory every gasoline vender in the world, so it's only Shell.

The shell card is a new card offered by Citi bank and is accepted where all MasterCard’s are. Compared to other cards, like the Chase Amazon Rewards card, the Shell card offers much better rewards. Most cards only give 5 cents back, but the Shell card gives ten, 15 and 20 depending on the amount spent in a billing cycle. This makes it much easier to use and spend rewards. If you travel a ton and use a lot of gas, this is definitely the reward credit card for you. The rewards however can only be used on gas, which compared to the Chase Amazon reward card can be used more

The Shell Credit Card is offered by Citi and has a pretty high interest rate of 23.99%. It is a rewards card and the rewards are earned in the form of savings on gas purchased at Shell stations. You earn 10, 15 or 20 cents off per gallon of gas based upon how much you spend in a cycle. The rewards aren't very flexible nor are they high enough to counteract the inflexibility. I would suggest a card that offers cash back like the Quicksilver or Amex Blue.

Look elsewhere! The terms of the Shell credit card make it a very disappointing credit card, unless perhaps you use this as your primary card, charge $500+ per month (and pay off your balance monthly, as the APR for this card is outrageous!) Also notable is that Shell gasoline is generally .10 more expensive than competitors! You would be better off going with another card. Amazon Rewards does not have a purchase floor you have to hit to begin earning or using the rewards (at Amazon), the APR is more reasonable, you can use your rewards in a number of ways (not just for Amazon rewards, you can use rewards more

I have got this card and I transferred money to it on 5th august. But money didnt get credited to my shell card till 18th aug. Whenever I call they will say that 'Will call back in 24hrs' which will never come. Once they said to verify with bank, I did that . Bank said 'Money credited to shell on 7th Aug itself' and they have sent the proof of successful transaction as well. I informed the same to shell services, but there was no action taken from their end. THERE IS NO PROPER SERVICE FROM SHELL AND SERVICE SUCKS TO THE CORE. ITS BEEN 13 DAYS BUT NO ACTION more

Through reading the information regarding this card, I know that I would not be inclined to attain the Shell Credit Card. Firstly, the "max earn" in regards to cents off per gallon is only twenty cents. While this sounds good on the surface, I think that achieving that max earn is not as easy as it looks. Users may be getting less than twenty cents on a regular basis. This would also take a long time to add up, in my opinion. In addition, the card requires the user spend 500 dollars at least in the first billing cycle. I personally know that I would not get near this amount more

This card is actually not really worth trying to go for the .20 on gallon gas at the pumps. I will have to disagree with saving money though using this card. If your still wanting to save some money without all the hassle of remembering to pay your credit card off with Shell, I recommend "My Shell Bucks" You still save money with .03 on the gallon, and the quality of gas is better for the Cadillac converter. This was recommended by the Honda dealership that did an emissions test on my car.

With it being a gas credit card, I wouldn't expect to get cash back on everyday expenses which is a major plus. However, the interest rate and the fact that you have to spend $500 or more just to get fuel credit is a little steep for a credit of 010 on the first 100 gallons. It doesn't seem worth it. I do like that their is no annual fee which a lot of cards these days have an annual fee with their rewards cards. For me, I don't think this card would benefit me in the long run. Maybe if they lowered the interest rate and maybe changed the more

This card does not seem to be worth it. I do not like the fact that you have to spend $500 or more to earn a credit of 10 cent on the first 100 gallons. I don't like that the max. earn is .20 cents. That will take a long time to really earn rewards. I think that $35 dollars is a lot for a late fee. It does offer cash back rewards but it seems like you have to spend a lot to get this benefit. I would not recommend this card.

This Shell Credit Card is significantly better than most store-tied credit cards I've seen. You can obtain points from a variety of purchases and redeem them for gas credit. Of course, in order to redeem the points, you need to go to Shell gas stations which tend to be more expensive than their competitors, so the money saved may not actually matter if you're paying extra at the pump initially. I'd carefully compare various gas station prices before choosing to open this account.

This Shell Credit card would be of no use to me. I have no car so therefore only providing "rewards" in the form of fuel discounts would not save me any money. What does save me money is my Visa Travel Rewards Card, which provides me up to about 1.5 percent back by reducing my monthly bill.

I think this card is too limiting and the terms and conditions are kind of cumbersome. I wouldn't have any interest in this card when there are many other cards with more comprehensive options.

I don't spend enough on gas to justify having the Shell credit card. I would feel like I would have to always go to a shell station to earn the extra cash back, and this is not convenient for me. I prefer my Chase Credit Card. No annual fee and every quarter there is a special 5% rate for certain purchases.

The Shell Credit Card offer receives a 5 out of 10 scoring with me. On the surface the Shell Credit Card seems ideal for those persons who drive a lot and are looking to save a few pennies at the pump, however as I study the qualifications to receive any substantial savings at the pump, a consumer must first spend at least $500 dollars in a spending cycle; ergo a monthly billing cycle. I am not saying that it's a difficult task to spend $500 dollars a month but if you micro-analyzed the offer you would find that you are spending $500 and being charged their finance charge to reach more

The Shell Credit Card is a great card for someone who purchases a lot of fuel. It offers great rewards in this area, and compared to my Discover rewards card the interest rate is not too bad. I like the discounts associated with both cards, but for the frequent traveler the gas rewards are good. However, you must use Shell affiliated gas stations in order to take advantage of their fuel rewards program. The cash advance rate is somewhat high, but that is expected from most credit cards. I have one of these cards, and would recommend it to others as well.

the Shell Credit Card is a nice card to have. It offers rewards like cash back on all types of purchases and fuel discounts. There is no annual fee, which is a plus. I would recommend it to just about anyone.

I like how this card earns money towards gas. My discover card only gives me cash back but not specifically towards gas which is what i want. I also think that the $35 max late fee is a positive due to the fact that the discover card late fee is upwards of $50.

The Shell Credit Card is a pretty average gas card. If you go to Shell only for your gas, this would be a great card for you though. The discount you get off gas is a nice amount. The interest rate isn't good though, and the card doesn't offer very much. Even if you did shop at Shell a lot, I'm sure there are other cards as well that can provide more such rewards. Over-all, this is a pretty lackluster card compared to other cards on the market.

I like the fact that you can use the Shell Credit card on every day purchases and that these purchases count toward cents off on your fuel purchases, as well as future every day purchases! Every penny counts in this day and age and so rewards like these pay off!! If you can afford to pay off your credit card balance every month, this is a great card to have! The main thing I don't like about it is that the interest rate is so high. This is where credit cards will kill you, especially if you really don't have the money to pay it off each month, it'll just more

I think that the Shell Credit Card is a great card to have, because everyone has
to get gas. There is no annual fee on the card, and no hidden charges. The interest
rate is kind of high at 23.99%, but I like how they offer rewards on, not only gas, but also
on other everyday purchases like groceries, cell phone bills, and dry cleaning. Shell
gas stations are very convenient to find, so it would be easy for me to get
there for my gas purchases.

This Shell Credit Card is better than most other gas station cards you'll come across because it works on the Master Card network. This is useful since a lot of gas cards are store cards and can only be used at gas stations run by the specific brand. With this card, you can certainly use it at Shell, but you can also use it anywhere else you shop and rack up the points. Since we all need to purchase gas, having rewards that help make gas less expensive is always a bonus. The interest rate is a little high, but that's to be expected with a card like this. As more

The Shell Credit Card is an extremely wonderful card to have. There are at least five Shell gas stations near me and it is extremely convenient. This is one of the few gas stations that offer rewards that really make a difference off of what you pay. In comparison to the BP Credit Card, the Shell Credit Card offers better rewards for what you pay. Practically everywhere you go there will be a Shell gas station. I refuse to get gas from anywhere else because of how great the benefits are.

The Shell Credit Card makes it clear this company knows how to do rewards that work for ordinary people. The best part is the reward for buying gas at a Shell station (as far as I know, Shell has stations practically everywhere). You need to spend a bit first to qualify for it, but with a decent interest rate and minimal fees this is a card that will quickly become a favorite for regular use.

The Shell Credit Card offers the ability to get rewards like 10 cents off per gallon if you spend $500 on one billing cycle. This reward seems a little outlandish. Alternatively, I can spend $100 at my local grocery store in a month without a credit card and get the same discount on gas. With a max earn of 20 cents per gallon and a rather high APR, you're looking at, really, saving $20 per month, and that's only if you put $1000 on the card and use 100 gallons of gas a month. In my personal opinion, this doesn't seem worth it.

The reward on this card is 10 cents per gallon after you spend $500 in one billing cycle on qualified purchases. I personally can't imagine myself placing $500 on a credit card (for qualified purchases) in a month in order to save 10 cents on a gallon of gas when I only fill up 2 times a month and have a small gas tank in which I rarely buy more than 10 gallons. This would amount to about $2 dollars saved over the course of a month for me and hardly worth it. The interest rate is also extremely high at nearly 24%. We have a gas card from another more
