Online: Log in to your online account, select the “Summary” tab, and click on “Make a Payment.” Then, choose how much to pay, when to pay it, and where the payment is coming from.
You can also make a payment without logging in to your account, by clicking on the "Pay as Guest" button. You can only set up automatic payments from your online account, though.
Over the phone: Call (800) 952-6133 and enter your card information when prompted. Then, follow the automated prompts to make a payment. Please note that using the automated system is free, but paying through a live agent may involve a fee.
By mail: Send a check or money order (but not cash) to:
Keep in mind that paying your credit card bill by mail takes the longest. Make sure to send it at least 7 days before the due date, so that it won't be late. Write your name and credit card number on the check, too.
You need fair credit to get approved for the TJX credit card, which means a credit score of 620 or above. Your credit score won't be the only factor taken into account, however, so this is only a guideline.
With that being said, you're right to consider a store credit card in this instance because they typically have more lenient approval requirements than general-purpose credit cards. The Kohl's Store Card is another offer worth looking into,...
Yes, you can use your card at Marshalls, T.J.Maxx, HomeGoods and Sierra Trading Post. And you will earn 5 points for every $1 spent at these stores. Best of luck!
If you meet the credit requirements for the Platinum version (i.e. a credit score of 700+), you may be offered that card instead of the store card. If you apply for the Platinum and aren't approved, you might be able to get the store card. The TJX Rewards Platinum Mastercard can be used anywhere Mastercard is accepted, which is pretty much...
Your TJX Store Card points will be automatically redeemed for $10 reward certificates once you've accumulated 1000 points. You can apply the reward certificates at checkout when shopping at T.J. Maxx and their affiliated brands.
Here's How Redeeming TJX Store Card Points Works
Every 1000 points you earn will be automatically converted into a $10 reward certificate. Each reward certificate you earn will appear on your monthly statement. You can also log in to your online account or use the mobile app (available for iOS and Android) to see how many points or reward certificates you have earned.
You can then apply the reward certificate code at checkout when shopping online or in person at T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods, Sierra, and Homesense stores.
Just keep in mind that reward certificates expire two years from the date they are issued to your account. Points, on the other hand, don't have an expiration date.
Yes, the TJX Store Card will do a hard pull. You will need a credit score of at least 640 to get it, which is on par with what most store cards require.
There is no way to pre-qualify for the TJX Store Card. A hard pull usually causes an applicant's credit score to drop by 5-10 points. Most people's scores bounce back within 3-6 months with responsible credit management, but it can take...
You might get a TJX Store Card pre-approval letter if you fit the issuer's criteria for offering you one. Unfortunately, there's no other way to check if you pre-qualify for this card.
Getting pre-approved is only a soft pull on your credit, but it doesn't guarantee your actual approval for the TJX Store Card. If you finally decide to apply, a hard pull on your credit is unavoidable. Keep in mind that this might lower your credit score...
The TJX Store Card mainly uses TransUnion for approval. That doesn't mean it won't use Experian or Equifax, or all of them when doing a hard pull on your credit report.
But don't worry about the randomness of it. If you're using your credit responsibly, all of these reports should reflect that.
As for reporting, the TJX Store Card reports to all three major credit bureaus on a monthly basis.

I've had the TJX card for many years. I don't use my card often and never saw the email saying I had a balance due on 1/28/24. Today (02/06/24), I received my new statement which said I owed a late fee of $27, plus an additional tax of $1.50! My original bill/statement was only $39! When I called to ask if they could waive the fee, I explained I just lost my job and didn't see the statement they emailed. I asked if they could please waive the fee, and they said I had one waived almost a year ago and they wouldn't do it again. I still can't believe TJX would assess a $27 fee on a $39 bill and not agree to waive it when I've been an excellent customer over the years. Why would you assess such a ridiculous fee? Shame on TJX Card for not showing your loyal customers any compassion. I will not use my card going forward and will let everyone know how they treat their customers.

A $27 late fee was applied 1 day after it was due. I had just opened the account and completely forgot to pay it. No grace was offered for a 1st time offense. AND I have another TJX account in good standing, which I don't think I've ever been late and have always paid off the full balance.
I paid the balance and told her to cancel the card. Then, I was told that closing the account means forfeiting any rewards I may have. Since those are earned by how much I've spent And I just paid my balance in full, why should those be taken from me? Those should be mine to keep. I didn't have any rewards on my account but that's beside the point.

I opened this card at a time when I shopped more frequently at TJ Maxx and figured why not get the rewards. They however continually don't send statements and proceed to charge late fees and interest. I just signed up for e-statements to try to avoid this in the future. I've disputed a couple of times but it is exhausting and I don't always have time to argue their slimy practices. I'd cancel my card out of spite but that would also hurt me more than them. I have several other cards that I NEVER have issues with and pay off in full. Literally cannot possibly recommend as they'll charge you in fees whatever rewards you do get.

I had this card for years, and as long as they made interest off me, it was fine. Then I was finally able to pay off my balance, and they closed my card without telling me. I assume it’s because they’re not making interest off me any more. This has destroyed my credit utilization on my credit report. Slimy.

Do not even think about opening this card no matter how much they beg. I used this card when I got it in August, paid the balance in full on August 20, used it gain in August, paid half the bill on September 1. Now they say my minimum payment is due September 25th. I pay all bills on the first of the month and I am never ever late. I don't understand their billing process. I called customer service and was told that I could pay early if I want to but they cant credit the account after the closing date, which I didn't know till I asked and found out. I paid this card off and I would close it but I don't want to lower my credit score, I'll just keep it open until they decide to close it for non use.

I had the card for almost a year. NEVER late with a payment. The balance was paid in full every month except once when I paid it over two months. Without warning TJX dropped the limit on my card from around $1500 to $110. Per customer service, despite my perfect payment record, not only with them and my other cards, they had “done an evaluation” and had “concerns about my creditworthiness”. I cancelled the card. User beware, if you have this card, carry another one, you never know when they will change your terms.

This card is a scam. Had the account since last year. They started me off with a large amount which I pay off faithfully so I have no balance. I went to make a payment and it was denied. Apparently, they can lower your credit about without informing you even though you make all payments the day after purchases. Spoke to customer service and they were no help. Takes 7 days to process payment yet only 12 hours to take it out of your bank account. When soaking to a manager for the card they said this was routine and if I chose to close my account I couldn't re-open and I lose my rewards. This is soooo disappointing for such a large company with many sites involved. My credit score is well above 700 so that was not the issue. Very disappointing so do not apply and waste your time. There are many other cards that give you rewards.
