I currently have the Walmart credit card and it's been a nice card. I like the fact that you can get cash out right at the register when making purchases. It does have a high interest rate, but if you use it sparingly and pay off your balance quickly, that is not an issue. You can also receive your FICO credit score if you receive electronic statements, so that's a good way to stay up on your credit. Overall, good card.

I used the Walmart Credit Card for 2-3 years without any issues. Unfortunately, my first large purchase (over $1k) was made with a service provider that did not deliver on its promises. I disputed the charge with Synchrony Bank and after 3-4 months of going back and forth with an assigned case worker, she stopped responding to my calls. Now, I sit on hold for over 25-30 minutes with their main telephone line before becoming frustrated and giving up. Synchrony Bank does not protect its customers. I will be paying my final bill, closing the account and taking my business elsewhere. Don't waste your time and open a line of more

Are these people out of their minds giving this card any stars. I have excellent credit and didn't need another card but during the holidays they had a deal to take $25.00 off your bill if you open an acct. `The problem is you have to deal with Synchrony bank. This is the worst bank I have ever had to call. They sent an e bill for the first time and the second time I used it, I was waiting for a bill but didn't get it. I got a bill next month with late fee???? I called and they were nice to remove it but it still showed on more

I recently signed up for the Walmart MasterCard after much success with the Wal-Mart store card and this card also lives up to my liking. I just love all the benefits I get when using this card. Starting with the cash back when I spend a certain amount, and money back when filling my tank at the gas station. I also love the customer service on the website and in store, they always are helpful with my questions and concerns!

Stay away from these guys, there are others cards with same benefits and better customer care. If your account balance is very low, they will not send your statement on time, so you will make late payment and interest, and forcing you to pay extra.

I am unimpressed with this credit card. They lowered my limit without advance notice, embarrassed me in front of other customers, and I have never been one day late, and always pay over the minimum. I will not EVER use this card again, it will be paid off..and discarded.

I have this credit card and I mostly love it. i pay off my statement each month and have no interest. there is a 23 day grace period which is nice. I can use it on every day items and gain rewards to my next trip. I am a frequent Walmart shopper and it is so convenient on a Wednesday before you get paid. The only problem I have had with this card is that the customer service tends to be a little on the rude side. But over all a great card to have for a just in case. I would recommend it.

I opened the card with the offer of a $25.00 credit if I spent more the $75.00. I was also told the credit would appear on my statement, but when I received it there was no credit. I called their toll free number and they applied the credit. It seems I am not the only one who had to call and ask for it... be mindful. I have not used this card enough to rate it other than this experience.

why is it that the new master card I have will only let me purchase gas at the pump at the Walmart gas stations? Every time I try to use it at another station, its rejected. Was it set up that way on purpose. Sometimes there is not a Walmart station available. Bob Tobey

This card seems like it would be an okay choice, if you were just starting to build your credit. However, I don't like that there is a foreign transaction fee. With the Discover card, there are no foreign transaction fees. After the introductory grace period, the interest rate is still over 20%, so that raises a red flag. One perk of the card is the free FICO score every month. While large companies like Chase and Bank of America don't offer this feature, other companies like Discover do, so this card can hold up to the competition on that note. I like that this card has no annual fee.

WARNING!! My mother had a card activated in her name against her knowledge by an adult family member. This member does not live with her, never has and has never had any authority to use her credit. We reported it immediately as soon as she recieved a statement in the amount of $3500+ mostly cash advances.A police report was filed and charges pressed or arrest warrant issued. The police report number was given to Walmart Mastercard as was the name of the user. They continue to call my mother & myself, as I have authority to help her with finances, demanding payment & saying it's not fraud because it was more

I have this credit card for more than 1 year. I chose this card to pay at the gas station so I can get 5 cents off, and I get $5 reward for every $500 purchase. I had some problems with the credits posted on my account. I had to call customer service more than 4 times to resolve my issue, but I still have this card.

I think that this Walmart Credit Card is good for people who shop a lot at Walmart or someone who has a large purchase to make. I used it to make a big purchase. It offers 0% apr which is an easy way to pay off a purchase. I was able to by myself a new TV and make smaller monthly payments with no interest. It also offers cash back and money off gasoline. Its a better card than others that offer no cash back and some have crazy aprs.

We were told if we applied for a Walmart Credit card in October, we would receive a $25.00 off our purchase. We purchased tires for 168.00. No credit was given at that time. The clerk said it would be on our statement. The statement came with no credit. I paid the bill and have not heard from Walmart since. When will I get my 25.00 credit?

I decided to get a Walmart MC credit card so I could get some extras around the holidays while building credit. I have an $1800 limit. After ordering online from a few different sites the card gets declined. I call and still have plenty of credit to use. Sooo I start thinking "okay, well maybe they just have good security measures and thought it was suspicious charges." I call customer service and the lady on the phone basically tells me the same thing... that they thought it was suspicious activity but she went ahead and made note and I could begin using my card again. This card has a lot of good things going for it. The initial use bonus of $25 is better than what I have seen on other store cards and the reward bonus rate is very good. Additionally the 15% off on gas would make this card well worth using. However, due to the relatively high interest rate on purchases and advances this is a card that you would never want to carry a balance on.

Worst customer service ever. I haven't received any paper bill for 3 months so I called the customer service to find out why. The customer service is not helpful at all. They keep asking me to check my local post office which I did, but then when I call back they keep hanging up the phone. Avoid using this credit card as much as you can.

The Walmart Credit Card seems perfect for my needs- Most of my trips to Walmart are for things like diapers or shampoo. I also frequently make purchases for things like technology or furniture. I buy these things often enough that I think I could easily build up a lot of points, and actually save some money in the long run. I do get gas at Walmart often, so I like that there are gas rewards. I don't really like how they say 15 cents off per gallon, but they lower that to 5 cents later. At least it's still a good deal at five cents, but I wish that they more

The Walmart card has so far been a good card. It has a low fee ($35) which is nice. It's not my favorite though as far a rewards go. I personally perfer an airline card to this card. It's a great card if you shop at Walmart a lot, but otherwise, I prefer other cards instead of this one. The rate is also fairly high compared to most other cards I have and use.

I’m really not happy the service of Walmart Rewards MasterCard, it’s really poor!!!, Don’t recommend !
I spent a lot every month with this card for my business’s purchasing, even more than $10,000 / month sometimes, and I paid the full balance on time every time. However, I was not able to pay the balance on time last time due to a business trip, they charged me about $100 for the late payment fee and interest. That was not the all they did, they even blocked my account even though the balance I owned were under my credit limit, and all other bills which I set up for auto payment with more

I used to use Walmart card a couple of years ago, when I bought the house and needed to get many things at once. Mainly the TV and Microwave. I am fan of no interest purchases on the things that I need, and their offer was just what I needed. I don't follow the points system much on any card, even on the one I currently have with Amazon. But that is mainly because I very rarely use credit cards. The current Walmart rate is not better or worse than the majority of cards, but they have better financing options even for smaller purchases, which is what I like about more

The gas perks are a plus! I love how it gives 1% cash back. I enjoy this freedom with my Capital One card as well. And the incentive of $25 bonus is a plus! Also, I love working with discover too. Very friendly and great customer service if you ever have a problem! Overall, great credit card.

I have a lot of misgivings about Walmart and everything about them in general but as far as credit card perks go, this is a pretty good deal. The gas perks are pretty good if you live anywhere near a walmart gas station. The FICO score thing is actually a pretty good idea in the sense that it keeps you up to date on what your credit damage is. The extended months of payment are also good since a lot of different income brackets shop at Walmart and extra time to pay things off is beneficial to someone like me with limited cash flow but needs food.

Wal-Mart offers a great credit card for all individuals. The max late fee of $35 is my favorite aspect, considering I sometimes remember a day or two too late. The grace period of 23 days is also a fantastic bonus that makes their card worth it. The No max overlimit fee is also great!!

I have been very happy with this card. I started with the Wal-Mart store card, and they randomly sent me the Wal-Mart Discover card. Their rates are fair, their 0% interest on large purchases is AWESOME, and my credit limit with this is very high. They offered me a higher credit limit than any other card I have. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it's a Discover card. It's not Wal-Mart's fault, but Master Card and Visa are accepted at a lot more places than Discover. Send me a new Wal-Mart card and make it Visa or Master Card and I'll make my review 5 enthusiastic stars!

Last year I applied and was approved for a Walmart Discover credit card. Its first feature was a $20 discount on the first purchase over $100 in Walmart. But not only that: for three months I got a 15 cents discount per gallon on the gas price, and then a for live 5 cents discount. It´s a great card!

I think that this card has its perks. Right from the start you are getting that savings, and you get savings if you use your Walmart Credit Card at a Walmart gas station. But after that, it seems a bit lackluster. The rewards are not enticing, unless you are a very frequent walmart shopper, who is purchasing upwards of $75 per visit. I think it would be a great card for families, who are looking for that kind of savings, but other than that, it doesn't seem that great. But, every bit of savings does help, especially if you are in a pinch.

If you're a regular shopper at Walmart, the Walmart credit card is very beneficial. Right off the bat if you spend $75 when you open the account, you get $25 as a bonus, which helps! The fact that you don't have to pay interest anywhere from 6-12 months on qualifying purchases, is great. The 5 cent perk at Walmart gas stations is great if you have a gas station at your Walmart, or at a Walmart near you. My hometown Walmart doesn't have one, but the next town over does, so this would be a great perk for me.

The Walmart Credit Card was convenient for a short time. At the time I received my card, they did not offer free FICO Scores, but that is a good perk. I did not feel the rate was any better than other cards I have seen. I did not benefit from bonus or cash back incentives because I never spent the amount required.

I love the fact that you can earn 1% cash back with this card. Also being able to get a $25 bonus right off the bat when you first sign up is a very good incentive. This differs from the master card i currently use and i wish i could have gotten a similar bonus with my card. Lastly, i think that this card is beneficial for most people due to its low ($35) max late fee.

I like the Walmart card because it is in the Discover network. Discover is a great credit card and the one I use. The max late fee for this card is low, you can earn up to 1% cash back which is always useful, and the opportunity to save 5¢ per gallon at a participating Walmart gas station is a nice bonus. If I could make a suggestion about a change to the card, I would suggest a higher return on cents per gallon, as it would encourage more people to join up or make an effort to go to those stations.

I actually enjoy shopping at WalMart, so the WalMart card would be very beneficial for me.
The introductory money back on your first purchase ($25 if you spend $75) is a great
incentive to sign up. Who doesn't want 1% cash back on all of their purchases?
I also love the gas savings since gas is a huge expense for me. While the apr
is fairly high, they do offer an introductory interest rate of 0% for 6-24 months.
This card is great if you are already a regular WalMart shopper and can use it
to get some benefits when you buy groceries or other items you need.

Unlike Walmart itself, the Walmart Credit Card actually seems beneficial and user-friendly. The interest rate is relatively high, but not so bad compared to other store cards. The benefits seem relatively straightforward however with a few kinks in there to make things confusing. Basically, you can accumulate points by shopping in store or online, and you immediately save money on your first purchase, again either in store or online. The best benefit of this card, however, is that you are given a free monthly FICO score as long as you enroll in electronic statements online. This is an excellent tool to monitor your credit and to make sure you're either more

Wow! The Walmart card has some great benefits! There are bonuses, a lower interest rate as far as in store credit cards are concerned. I have seen 24%-25%. Walmart’s is still high, but lower than many others I have seen. In addition, there are promotional periods that offer a 0% APR which is great when you have major purchases, but want to be able to make payments, because they are too costly for a one time buy. There is also not an earn/redeem limit, which I think is GREAT. Even if I have only earned $10, it looks like I can redeem it. Much better than my Discover, which has more

The Walmart Credit Card may be a good card to have on hand if you find yourself to be a regular shopper at Wal-Mart or if you tend to purchase your gas at their stations.

The card requires a decent credit score, but still has a 22.9% interest rate, which would be higher than other rates customers may have on other cards. Overall it is not a particularly bad rate and stay inline with typical in-store interest rates. There are also no annual or monthly fees, making the card reasonable to keep on hand.

The reward plan doesn't really pay out much of a reward, seeing that 0.25% is a fourth of more

Why did I get a bill for$81.73 when I have never used my new card. I applied for one from the WalMart clerk and received $25 off my bill. However, I paid the $81.73 with my Visa card and could not have used my Walmart card as I didn't even have it at the point. Credit card companies will not share the minimum credit score they require to approve an application. Without any guarantees, you can use our credit estimator here >> http://www.cardhub.com/credit-check/. If it gives you an excellent or good credit, you can try applying for the Walmart credit card.
While your credit standing is a very important factor it doesn’t guarantee acceptance. There are other variables that may play a role such as outstanding debts, your income and your job status.
