Best within six months of opening. Things start off well, the 5 points per $1 that you’ll earn on gas, groceries and drugstore purchases for the first six months on up to $12,500 spent, keeps the rewards party going for a little while longer. But once six months have passed, all you’ll be left with is a 1-point-per-$1 earning rate, which is roughly equal to what the average rewards card offers.
0% offer is barely above average. The Wells Fargo Rewards® Card obviously isn’t known for its financing appeal, but it does offer 0% for 15 months intro rates on purchases and balance transfers. That’s nothing special, considering more than 200 credit cards offer that same deal. Fifteen months, however, is longer than the average 0% credit card will give you for new purchases, about 11 months, and for balance transfers, about 13 months, according to WalletHub’s latest Credit Card Landscape Report.
At least there’s $0annual fee. With $0 annual fee, the Wells Fargo Rewards Visa is about $21.58 per year cheaper than the average credit card. That’s something. Still, there are other fees to worry about, namely a 3% (min $5) balance-transfer fee and a 3% foreign-transaction fee.
Credit scores must be this tall to ride. You need good or excellent credit to get the Wells Fargo Rewards Card. So make sure to check your credit score for free on WalletHub before applying to confirm you have a good chance of approval.

You can use Wells Fargo rewards points for travel, cash back, gift cards, or merchandise. Wells Fargo rewards points are typically worth 1 cent each, depending on how they're used. Wells Fargo also requires rewards point redemption in increments of $20 or $25, depending on the redemption method.
Newly earned Wells Fargo rewards points are available to redeem the day after your billing cycle ends. Points don't expire as long as your account remains open, and you can save up as many as you want.
It is also worth mentioning that there are three ways to redeem Wells Fargo points: Online, by phone, or through a Wells Fargo ATM.
Here's how to redeem Wells Fargo rewards points:
Online: To redeem online, log in to the Wells Fargo Rewards portal and click “Use.” Then, select the type of redemption you want. If you prefer to redeem
Phone: To redeem by phone, call (877) 517-1358. These two methods require you to redeem points in $25 increments if you want gift cards or cash back. The cash back options are a check, a direct deposit, or a statement credit toward a Wells Fargo account balance. For travel and merchandise, you can redeem points up to your available rewards balance, regardless of the amount.
ATM: To redeem points for cash back at Wells Fargo ATMs, enter your PIN, and choose the rewards option. Then, select an amount in multiples of $20 (2,000 points).
You can earn Wells Fargo rewards points – officially called “Wells Fargo Rewards” points – with two cards: The Wells Fargo Rewards® Card and the Wells Fargo Visa Signature® Card. Keep in mind that transactions such as cash advances and balance transfers do not earn rewards points – only purchases do.
You'll get the best value for your Wells Fargo rewards points if you spend them on travel, cash, statement credits, or gift cards. You may even be able to catch the occasional sale on gift cards and get them for fewer points than normal.
The Wells Fargo Rewards® Card credit score requirement was 750 or better. That means excellent credit was required for approval. However, it is worth noting that the Wells Fargo Rewards® Card is no longer available to new applicants.
Alternative Credit Card Option
If you're looking for a Wells Fargo credit card that offers everyday spending-based rewards, you should consider getting the Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card. This card offers new cardholders $200 cash rewards after spending $500 in the first 3 months. Plus, you earn 2% cash rewards on all purchases.

Do not trust the Wells Fargo Rewards credit card department. I booked airline travel through the Wells Fargo rewards website using my credit card points. I received a confirmation of booking from Wells Fargo and paid the remaining balance that my points did not cover. When I arrived at the airport for my flight, they had no record of the flight booking, despite the confirmation Wells Fargo sent me. I had to buy a ticket on the spot for triple the price. Wells Fargo takes no ownership of selling invalid airline tickets. Each time I have spoken with them, they blame something new: "It was the airline," "They aren't responsible for their website," "Did you read the disclaimer?" You can tell their incompetence based on how their story changes. They make no apologies and take no responsibility. Meanwhile, I'm out the money. Be very careful; this is an unethical department that is not interested in doing right by the customer.

I have been a Wells Fargo customer for 30 years. The Wells Fargo Rewards card has become awful. Rewards Travel Customer service is subpar. They are no longer knowledgeable. Last night, They refused to change my round trip ticket. Wanted to overcharge me for a new reservation. After leaving me on hold for over an hour and yanking me around, I finally just called United who changed the reservation for me. I was charged $50 but was able to use the $400 reservation towards a new reservation. It took 15 minutes. I’ve had a Signature CC for over 20 years that provided 3X the rewards points for travel. Recently When I called to inquire about the new Autograph card, the agent misinformed me that the newer card provided the same points as the Signature card. After urging me to change over, I was informed that it did not. Only a few purchases qualified for triple points. They refused to change the card back. I switched to Capital One. We are trying to decide whether to move all of our money to a different bank. Wells Fargo is not the bank it used to be.

Wells Fargo Rewards......had to purchase 2 airline tickets and was using my 92,700 points. The first ticket, no problem.....the ticket was approx. 56,000 points so I had approx 32,000 points left. I then when to purchase the 2nd ticket.....it was approx 35,000 points. The rewards said I could purchase the additional miles upon checkout. When I tried to complete the transaction I was given error code B2 5000. I called Rewards customer service. I was on the phone with them 2.5hrs and no resolution. At first they said there was something wrong with the credit card I was using (a Wells Fargo Visa). I called customer service for the card and the representative said there was not issues with the card. I gave up for the day. I called the next day and started the process all over again. This time I was on the phone for nearly 2hrs with the Rewards Travel representative-Horace, the representative with the credit card-Jessica and a representative from Wells Fargo fraud dept. Bottomline-no fraud and the bank said the card was fine. Before hanging up with Horace, as the others couldn't help, he told me that this problem has occurred with others and the error code B2 5000 has no resolution. He said people usually give up and move on. This is totally wrong and I hope to pursue this issue to resolution.

They offer cheap and poor review items. The surround system I ordered was listed over $400 and on sale for $280. Sounded so good I jumped on it. My fault for not reading the reviews. Listed for $148 online and reviews were 2.1 out of over 400 reviews. Called to cancel the order and they tried to verify an address I couldn't remember from 15 years ago so they said they couldn't verify me even though I had corrected my new address to place the order. Supervisor said they could not cancel the rewards order and all sales were final. My previous experience with WF has always been negative and will remain negative. Only redeem the cash value because I can assume all their products are cheap.

I would give it zero stars but that's not an option. My review is don't waste your time with this company. We bought flooring from a local company in my home town. We decided to take advantage of the 12 month no interest offered through Wells Fargo. I did this reluctantly as I have had problems with Wells Fargo in the past but I decided to since I knew we would pay it off quickly. The charge was around $8000, my husband and I decided to pay $7,000 on the first payment due and then at that point take advantage of paying the remainder 1000 off in 12 months offered, so we could keep a little extra cash. The first bill came in March, we paid the 7000, on the second statement we had 1000 balance with a minimum payment of $286 due. If we paid the minimum, we are forced to pay off this balance is 3 months. We called the customer service number and after an hour of speaking with someone who we couldn't understand easily due to the accent, we felt we finally got her to understand we were wanting to dispute the minimum payment. It was obvious later she did not understand at all that the minimum payment was too high because she noted on our account that we wanted to dispute the entire claim. The next thing that happened was the owner of the floor company is calling to ask what was wrong with our flooring because we were disputing the claim!!! Now why would we pay $7000 on the balance if we were disputing the claim. After two months and dealing with different people and a supervisor, we have gotten nowhere. I feel we are being penalized for paying a large payment. Why offer 12 months no interest if you force your customers to pay off a balance in 3 months!! I was very upset when speaking with the Wells Fargo supervisor and at no point in our conversation did he seem concerned or willing to help us. We are paying off the $1000 and never ever using this bank again.

No rating....Worst experience with Wells Fargo Credit card. We bought the mattress from Mattress Factory through Wells Fargo Credit card for 13 months lease with 0% interest rate. Before completing the 13 months they charge us $400 interests for next year without any information or sending any mail. We called the three time to customer care to waive off the interest if we are ready to paid off the loan remaining amount. But they said you need to paid off the amount with interests or carry on for next year..they said we only $100 waive off interest if you have to paid off loan.. How can i pay the interest $300 just because of 10 days.I unable to understand Wells fargo process...they cheated the customer..Also they said that we will put it on your credit or sending to third party collection...We are very disappointment with Wells Fargo service...I have just pass this message everyone who knows how Wells fargo works..Heads off...hated the Wells Fargo Credit card service....No Wells fargo anymore...

I have been a loyal Custer since 2008. Even though I have always paid my bill on time over the years I have noticed they just keep raising my interest rate and it is now over 20%. None of my other cards are this high. I called today to ask for a rate reduction or I would have to transfer my balance and was just told there is nothing they can do. I was told there was no department I could be transferred to that could do this for me. I explained how loyal I have been and that if it wasn't lowered I would be transferring my balance tomorrow. They just didn't care. They would rather lose a client that lower the interest rate. Well they are losing my business and I am now going to look at other accounts I have with them and see what other options I have. I am very disappointed that loyalty isn't valued at Wells Fargo
