It is really hard to not like this store, even though it is a chain they all have that small town hardware store feel to them. You can go in not knowing exactly what you need and they are super helpful making sure you walk out of the store with a solution for your home repair or improvements. I also like the fact that ACE still carries a lot of the uncommon items that you will probably not find in a big box hardware store.
Ace Hardware is one of my favorite places to stop for stuff we need around the house. It's so much easier than going to any of the big box stores, and saves a ton of time. I love Ace Hardware gift card, because it's one of the few gift cards that provide real, long-term value. Many times when I get other cards I feel like it is a waste of money; however, not with this gift card as there is a million different things to choose from that I need around my house. Highly recommended!
I recently went to Ace looking for some sand paper. I went in with my 10 month old daughter in my arms and needed to quickly locate the item. Both employees in the store were extremely helpful. They walked me to the aisle in the store and discussed my project with me, then helped me to choose the correct type/number of sandpaper. Overall my experience was very positive and I most definitely will return there in the near future.
I just love going to Ace Hardware. There stores are always well stocked, orderly and clean. What I like best is that they always have plenty of people available to help you find something you can't find. Not at all like your experience at Home Depot or Lowe's. Trust me!!
This is one top notch store! The staff is always friendly, helpful and always eager to help. On top of that, they have very good prices and speedy service. They are not as big as the other retail giants, but they always have what I am looking for and I always have a pleasant experience.
Once deciding I wanted to paint my bedroom a new color, I visited Ace Hardware to browse the paint selections. I have never had any negative experiences at Ace in the past, so I was excited to go to the store. The paint selection at the Ace I visited was outstanding. An employee came over and began to help me immediately. I found the color I wanted within ten minutes and was promptly helped in the checkout line. This was a great experience!
The paint selection at Ace Hardware is amazing and the prices can't be beat. I have always been a fan of Valspar paint, but now I don't have to go to the 'big guy" to get it. I prefer to keep my money in my local community, and ACE gives me a way to do that. The service is always amazing, and it doesn't take many trips for them to get to know your name! Thanks ACE for helping me improve my home by giving me great paint at a fair price.
I like shopping at Ace because it is locally owned. I have had bad experiences at big chains like Home Depot, and when you shop at the big chains most of your money leaves your town. My local Ace isn't as big as a big chain store, but it usually has what I'm looking for.
I love my local Ace Hardware store. There are three Ace stores within 5 miles of my house so they instantly are more convenient than the nearest megastores that are 10+ miles away. The nearest is less than a mile away and I am in there quite often. Consequently, the staff know me and they greet me and inquire about past projects when I come through the door. Not only is this nice, but it also means that I practically never have to go look around for someone to ask a question -- they ask me how they can help as soon as I walk through the door. The staff is also very knowledgeable, particularly with regard to services in the local area. Case in point: my electric lawnmower recently stopped working. I had suspected the power switch was wearing out, so I took the controls apart and removed the witch and headed to Ace. I didn't expect them to have a new one in stock, but thought they might be able to order one. Terry (I know their names too!) took the switch and got a multimeter from the back and determined that the switch was working. He then asked me a few more questions about how the mower had been acting while I quietly worried that I would have to buy a new mower. He then told me about a place downtown that I had never heard of that repaired electric motors. For $30 that shop put new brushes in my mower motor, and it's good as new. I fully expect that a 20 year-old megastore clerk would have simply shown me new lawnmowers. Ace stores are small, so there are times when they simply don't stock something, but that's rare. Ace is always my first stop.…more
With the advent of home improvement megastores, the little neighborhood hardware store has taken a beating. But there is something about a neighborhood store, with people from your community that just cannot be replaced. Ace Hardware is the perfect example of this. We recently went in to the local Ace hardware to find paint for our nursery. The paint associate was extremely helpful, and kept us from picking a color that would have been way too dark for the room. At a larger store, we never would have gotten that help. Ace is also the best place to find individual nuts and bolts, particularly metric ones, which I need for my old truck and motorcycle. No matter how strange a part I need, they always seem to have them available and at the right price. I highly recommend supporting your local Ace Hardware.…more
