I absolutely love shopping at Barnes & Noble, at least the physical stores, I don't much care for their website because it loads onto my phone awkwardly and is kind of frustrating to navigate. That's not a problem for me, however, as I would rather go to one of the physical brick and mortar stores anyway. I am always delighted to receive a Barnes & Noble gift card, and I waste no time in using them when I get them. Barnes & Noble is the only place I can find Juxtapoz Magazine, and since these magazines are not cheap, I usually get one every time I receive a gift card more

Barnes and Noble, at least the brick and mortar locations, are wonderful. Sadly, I don't know how they stay in business. They always have comfortable chairs, whether in the cafe or around the store, where you can genuinely relax and read. Sales staff are almost always courteous and helpful and if something you are looking for isnt there they will happily order it for you. One of the few retail experiences I enjoy.

I love going to Barnes & Noble. Even though I have an E-reader it is still nice to know I can go into an actual store and pick up an actual book to read. They have a wonderful Young Adult and Children's section there, which are the two sections I frequent most often. I love the quiet atmosphere of the store as well. It is the perfect place to sit and read on a stressful day. Their free wifi makes it a prime location for studying too. Since I own a Barnes and Noble Nook visits there are even better. I am able to read any book for free on more

I will never forget my first visit to a Barnes and Noble. Way before the internet existed, I had only previously been to smaller stores like B. Dalton and Waldenbooks (anyone remember them?) but I had developed a taste for world literature early in high school which these stores could not satisfy. Walking into Barnes and Noble for the first time, it was everything I expected and more. Muted light, somewhat dark, classical music playing softly, people sitting around reading or perusing the shelves... and books, thousands and thousands of books! All the books that had been on my mental 'wishlist' for months and so much more. I spent maybe more

I know it's a bit old fashioned; but, I really enjoy both the feel of an actual book in my hand and also going to a brick and mortar store to find a good book. Barnes & Noble is my personal favorite place to go right now. They have a great selection and every time I go I am always impressed by the amount of information it contains. In fact, just writing this review is actually making me want to take a trip there. Of course, if you prefer online shopping, which even I do sometimes, B&N has a great website that is easy to use as well.

I'll be honest. I was always more of a “Borders-guy” when it came to bookstores. This stemmed mostly from proximity and discount coupons. It seemed every month Borders had another 40 or 50% off coupon! But, now that Borders is gone and my book worm proclivities remain, I needed another place to scratch that itch. Of course, we don't live in the 80's or 90's anymore, where there were multiple bookstores at every mall, so choices were limited. Luckily, Barnes and Noble is exactly the type of bookstore you'd want in a large chain style company. The Barnes and Noble nearest to me is two stories with plenty of room more

Barnes and Noble is a pretty good retailer, offering many different books and magazines, both in physical copies and on their own proprietary e-reader, the Nook. It’s nice on occasion to visit one of these stores to actually see and hold the books that you’re looking for, instead of simply ordering them online. This also gives me the chance to see other books as well, and on many occasions it has led me to purchasing other titles that sounded interesting, or had a good sale/discount at the time. These stores also tend to have a coffee shop, but I haven’t tried them personally.

I have started going to Barnes and Noble to use my laptop. I go there for the free Wi-Fi and stay for the atmosphere. I think they all have free Wi-Fi and a coffee shop. Someone gave me a Barnes and Noble gift card, and I have been using a lot of it for coffee. Sometimes I also order a full meal. They have soup, sandwiches, and more. That actually helps me to stay in there longer whenever I am trying to get something done. But sometimes I go, intending to work on my laptop, and I end up buying a coffee and browsing magazines and books. I think it's more

I am not a big fan of Barnes & Noble or the customer service that they provide. I have often used Barnes & Noble to rent textbooks, but my shopping experience is always hit and miss. It is easy to select the books I want and checkout, but it is sometimes difficult to return them. The button does not always appear to print out the shipping label and consequently they charge extra due to missing the return date. I contacted their customer service before about the return date missing and they acknowledged it is a website error sometimes, but they refused to give me a refund. However, I do enjoy more

It was my wifes birthday recently and I have to say Jennifer from our local Barnes and Noble probably saved my marriage. lol. I was clueless what to get my wife, I know she loves books, and I knew of a book she had been wanting, but like most men... didn't listen to the name and basically knew nothing about the book. I went to the store and told jennifer of my predicament and somehow she managed to turn my jibberish into a book. The correct book. I picked up a few other items, book marks, a book light etc, I didn't spend a lot of cash because it seems more

I am a complete hold out these days and refuse to buy any time of E-Reader. To me there is nothing like cracking open a fresh book. I adore Barnes and Nobles. Though they are keeping up with advanced technology you can still go into there store and find yourself in...a Book Store! The staff is always helpful when I am looking for wither a particular tile or just need a new suggestion on what to read next. The selection can not be beat, I have managed to find really old and really obscure titles right in the store. However if what I am looking for is NOT in stock more

Barnes and Noble is one of my favorite stores. What I like most about them is their willingness to search high and low for the title you are looking for. There have been several instances when the book I was looking for wasn't in stock. They were able to locate it in their system and order it for me. In most cases I had the book within a couple days. I just recently purchased a Nook Simple Touch which I absolutely love. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable when I came in to purchase it, and they even have classes for people who are not tech savvy. Lastly, they more

If I'm looking for a book and not in the mood to wait for it to be shipped to my house, I almost always go to Barnes and Noble. I've found that the staff there are almost always very nice and helpful, always willing to help you find what you're looking for without trying to get you to buy something else, which is quite annoying. If they don't have what you're looking for, it's usually an option to have it ordered and shipped to the store, where you can later pick it up. They have a huge variety of books (and other things!), so I highly recommend it. Even if more

Barnes and Nobles has all of the standard needs when it comes to looking for books of all genres. The customer service is very helpful and often the people that work there know what they are talking about and make good recommendations. Personally, I' am a fan of non fiction novels and Barnes and Noble's has an excellent supply of it that I regularly look at. It also makes for good presents whether it be for Christmas or birthday presents.

How can someone NOT love Barnes and Noble? This is by far one of my favorite stores. I love browsing the books and magazines then settling in with a hot cup of tea and a snack. Their game selection has really improved in the recent as well. I absolutely love looking at all the different board games! They have a nice section of "gift"-type items that's fun to look through as well. They always have something fun on sale! I got a gift card to Barnes and Noble and enjoyed a nice afternoon with my significant other. We each got a book and something to drink and sat in their more

I love reading books, I try to read at least three a month. The only place I shop at for books, online and in store is Barnes & Noble. They have probably the biggest selection of books out of anyone, anything you can think of or want, they most likely have it. They have tremendously great customer service. The atmosphere inside a Barnes & Noble is like no other, I could spend all day there and I have before. One time they sent me the wrong books when I ordered online and they ended up giving me a full refund and sending out the right books for my troubles. If more

I really enjoy shopping at Barnes and Noble. It’s my go to spot when I need to grab a quick gift or gift card. I can literally stay there for hours browsing through all the different sections. They have a great selection and it doesn’t hurt that they have a Starbucks inside the store! I appreciate being able to even visit a bookstore these days. There are hardly any bookstores left near me, so it’s nice to be able to spend a little time looking in an actual store instead of just online. When you can’t find a book in the store it’s almost certain that you can find it more

Last Christmas, My in-laws did not know what to get for me and my wife, so they chose a $500 Barnes & Noble gift card. We have yet to spend all of it, even after purchasing new Nook (with Glowlight) e-readers! I love to visit the store, but more for the atmosphere than the merchandise. I've grown quite fond of their games section, and recently picked up Munchkin, which we play all the time. Maybe I just got really lucky, but the store we visited had an employee there who was actually very familiar with the game (and any other items we asked about!), and he was able to give more

Arguably, brick and mortar bookstores are slowly dying off, thanks to online giants like Amazon.com. However, it’s very easy to disbelieve this trend when walking into a Barnes & Noble. They really are a “throwback” to the good old days of being able to walk into a bookstore, pick up a book, and just read. Almost all B&N stores that I have entered have had the stereotypical coffee shop, but it feels oddly homey and not rushed like other corporate coffee chain experiences. You are actually encouraged to peruse your potential purchase over a cup of coffee. I’ve nearly always had pleasant book discussions with the employees there, and I more

I am not a big fan of shopping but when I'm out there are few stores I enjoy seeing more than Barnes and Noble. The reason is the complete experience you get from shipping there. Yes, they have a huge selection of books, magazines, calendars and games, but that is not what makes them great. What makes them great is their attitude. Most locations have a coffee shop inside where you are actually encouraged to come sit, relax and browse through some books. You walk through the store and you always see people at tables or chairs reading a book. How nice and peaceful! No pushy sales people. No one more

Barnes and Noble is absolutely great. I have had a variety of gift cards over the years and it has worked out excellently. There are still many sorts of books that you still need to get in physical form, like coffee table books that have giant maps and things. One of my favorite part of this store is that there are all sorts of different historical atlases that are heavily discounted as well as many other picture intense books. These are excellent when you take care of a small child and teach them visually. Although I don't have an e-reader, I can't imagine myself ever forsaking the experience of going more

With today's technology, I hope stores like Barnes and Noble don't disappear. There is just no replacement for the experience of touching, seeing, and smelling a new or used book. I have been a customer of this store for years. I often spend a Sunday morning going to my local Barnes and Noble with a good cup of coffee and checking out the latest books. It's not uncommon for me to get so wrapped up in a book that I end up being there for hours. Their stores are always well kept, even the children's section. They offer so many fun things between the coffee shop, gift/novelty items, and music more

Recently I stopped in a Barnes & Noble and was attempting to find several books which I could not find at several other stores I had checked. I decided to browse the shelves and attempt to find the books myself. On two separate occasions an employee walked by, could tell I was searching for something, and promptly helped me locate the book. They were very kind and personable and really added to my shopping experience. I will be returning here soon in the future next time I am trying to find a book. I will not waste time checking the other stores first due to the great experience I had here.

I love Barnes & Nobles products and services. I had recently purchased a Nook from them and have had great success finding books as soon as they are available for sale. I didn't have to wait in line or drive to the store to get the book I wanted. Also, when I had a problem with my Nook's charging port, they replaced it for me, no questions asked! I didn't have a warranty or anything on it. But, because it was less than a year old and it was a product flaw and not of my doing, they had no problem exchanging for a brand new one! I would recommend more

In a world of Amazon, used book stores, and ebay, it’s amazing that Barnes and Nobles has remained profitable. I went to Barnes and Nobles today and had a horrible experience in every aspect. I went for a specific book, a very common book, a hardcover version of "Game of Thrones" by George R. R. Martin. First the book was misplaced; it was on a desk instead of being in Science Fiction/Fantasy section. I saw it on the display so I thought there might be a deal for the purchase. Nope, the price for a single hardcover Game of Thrones book was $35. A simple Amazon or eBay search shows more

Barnes & Noble has always been a good store to shop and peruse books at, in my opinion. The stores are well lit and spacious with aisles that have enough space between them and shelves that don't go too high. I've bought books both in store and online from them. The upsides of shopping there is that there is a connected Starbucks at pretty much every location I've been to and it's always nice and quiet, and never too busy. They have a pretty good selection of books in their stores, with new and more popular books definitely being in stock. I have purchased books online both for school and more

I recently went to Barnes and Noble in search of a new book that had come out, Practical Paleo. It is a cook book. I was expecting it to be there because the website had said it would be. I went to the cookbook section and looked all over, nothing, as usual. I even looked in the vegetarian/vegan section even though it has nothing to do with this topic. Why might you ask, well because every time there is a book about eating paleo it seems to be put in the category. Since I could not find the book I went in search of an employee at the help desk. more

Barnes and Noble is one of my favorite stores. I remember as a kid always getting a Barnes and Noble gift card for Christmas. Finding it under the tree was so exciting, because with just a small card, I felt almost overwhelmed with the options it afforded me. I would take my card into Barnes and Noble and just get lost among all the books and products. I'd usually end up buying either graphic novels or fantasy novels (of which they have an amazing selection) and it's nice to be able to pick up, touch, open, and read the books before choosing to buy them. Now-a-days, I don't get gift more

So Barnes & Noble is one of those stores that you have to go in to get the full experience. I like to go in on a early Saturday morning when I have a couple of hours to kill. It's a lot of fun to browse through all the different sections, look at the beautiful book collection they have and indulge in buying a book that truth be told would be cheaper if bought elsewhere! While the prices are usually higher than online, what I do really like about the store is the knowledgeable people that work there. If I walk in and ask about books about alternative healing or more
