Pretty nice now that they've stopped forcing you to take up Game Informer. Used selection's usually pretty solid.

This is a good place to get a gift card for any gamer. They have a wide selection of games and system to pick from. You will not be disappointed.

The salespeople are always so helpful at Gamestop. The last time my son and I were there, the salesperson helped us save nearly $30 by recommending an alternate item.

GameStop has always been a great place to spend half an hour of your time. The selection is usually good and the staff are mostly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, with good senses of humor. Using the gift card is, of course, incredibly easy. No muss, no fuss.

It is so easy to use a Game Stop gift card! I went to game stop a few days ago after my older brother sent me a gift card in the mail for the store. It had 50 dollars on it, and I had no idea how to use it. I wanted to get the game Skyrim because everyone was talking about it. when i went up to the cashier, they asked me for my ID and i showed them it. He asked me if i wanted to pay with cash and I pulled out my wallet. I had forgot the that i had the card, and when I saw more

Gamestop is a great place to find a large variety of games. Used games make it more affordable to play a lot of different games. I love that you can trade in used games and game systems when you get bored with the one you have. My son loves gamestop too because he plays his games quickly and is always looking for new ones.

First let me say that Gamestop gift cards are a must and the Rewards program adds greatly in getting them. However, the company itself is lacking majorly. Don't get me wrong as I am an avid gamer owning every system on the market with a library of games new and used it is Gamestop is my "go to" for games that are coming out or that I want. The issue is, however, each story doesn't have the same policies as the next. For example, you can trade in an unlimited amount systems at one store where as another store will only allow 2 or 3 of the systems. They did more

As a gamer who owns multiple gaming systems there's always a game that's about to come out or has recently come out that I'm wanting to buy and until recently they were always my go-to source for games. I've attended several midnight openings where they've handed out t-shirts and posters for the game they're promoting but lately I've found myself turning to online sources for my games and staying away from Gamestop. It's not their prices or selection that are driving me away, but their insistence on upselling. The last time I visited Gamestop was to purchase a copy of Skyrim for my PS3. In the fifteen minutes I was more

Gamestop is a great store for electronics gaming systems, games and etc. but only if you are a very patient person. I have been in Gamestop numerous times with family and friends and every single time I have been in one they have been a 3 ring circus. Not only are there customers running wild in there, but the employees always seem to be overwhelmed with what is going on. They do have wonderful prices, but surely it just is not worth the headache for me to go into these stores. The employees are typically college age boys who while nice enough just don't have all the knowledge of things more

Gamestop is by far the best place to get video games these days. I take my son and daughter here on a regular basis to trade in their old games for credit towards new ones. While its true that they give you pennies to the dollar back on some trades the pluses still outweigh the negatives. The staff there always seems to go above and beyond to actually help us find creative ways to get even bigger savings from promotions that they have. They always have a wealth of knowledge on the actual systems and games they sell unlike some of their competitors at big box stores. We always seem more

Gamestop is a nice store in general but I would not suggest it for pre-ordering games. Although they sometimes have good pre-ordering deals there are sometimes better places to pre-order from. I like Amazon and the Microsoft Store for pre orders. For example, the last game I pre ordered from the Microsoft Store came with 1600 Microsoft points and a $10 coupon. In my opinion, Gamestop is best when you don’t know what you want and want to browse a selection. Their big wall of games will help you find a game that you’ll like and they have always had good staff who actually know about games whenever I’ve went more

I will admit, I was a bit skeptical when Gamestop took over my local EB Games. I don't like change. lol. I was nervous that they wouldn't have the same deals. But to my surprise, they are wonderful. They have a great used section that is a lot cheaper than new ones. They also offer a trade in option, sometimes they don't give you very much and I think that they are ripping you off, but most of the times it's a good deal. They offer a warranty on the used stuff also so you have a peace of mind when buying it. They have a pre-order option to make more

GameStop is a conflicting place for a life-long gamer. On the one hand, if you need something in a pinch it will often have more peripherals and niche games then Best Buy or Walmart. Conversely, the environment is appalling. There are loud advertisements for the next Call of Duty, uncaring employees, and I find the store's layout is often offensive. Gamespot stores are also quite expensive. It is 2012 and I paid 20 dollars for a Playstation 2 memory card there. That is outrageous! Better to have a GameStop in town for those gaming emergencies but not for everyday purposes.

GameStop is the only place I go to buy video games. I love the fact that have used games which are cheaper than the new. You can trade in your old games as well, but do not expect to get what you paid for them, remember you did get enjoyment out of them. If you are tired with a game or beat it already, it can be traded in towards the purchase of a new or used game. They also have very knowledgeable employees that can tell you about the game before you buy it. GameStop is the place to go to get your games as well you can put more

I just absolutely love GameStop.
The GameStop staff is very helpful and they seem to be in any of the stores you walk into. Sometimes you will need to have patience because their staff is limited which can lead to a little bit of a wait if, they are busy. The staff has always been great to inform me of new games that I can reserve ahead of time and even refer games that my husband or daughter may like. This makes it so easy for me because I don't have a clue of what type of games to buy. I just tell them their interest and the games the more

Gamestop is a store that makes me uncomfortable due to their aggressive pressure tendencies. A few years back I went in to exchange a couple of games and put a pre-payment down on an upcoming game (Red Dead Redemption). During this time I was swarmed by the people working that day who did everything in their power to convince me to buy other products: used games, pre-payment for new games and magazine subscriptions. I am an introvert so I find that kind of behavior uncomfortable in the first place, but I felt like this would be over the top for anybody. I haven't set foot in a Gamestop since, even more

Most recently I was in a local GameStop to place my preorder for the upcoming Wii U console. First off props to GameStop for having what seems to be a reliable preorder system in place (looking at you, Target, Wal-Mart, Amazon), but dang when a guy is on a mission to get something done they sure like to put up some road blocks. Yes, I’d like to preorder a Wii U please. OK, can I see your power play card? Well no because I don’t have one. Ok then, here’s three minutes of why it would be great for you to get the card and how much money it would more

My children got me turned on to GameStop, and have to say that it is now the first store I stop at when starting my Christmas shopping, or for birthdays. I wasn't sure what kind of game system to buy for our family (although my kids offered their own suggestions!) so we could all enjoy it. I had heard of GameStop but had never been into one. I stopped at one in the mall, and the clerk spent a great deal of time with me, going over the advantages and disadvantages of each of the "big 3" systems. I'm sure he does this 100 times a day, but he made more

GameStop is my go-to place for all of my gaming needs. Anytime I walk into my local store, they always are helpful and very knowledgeable. I feel very comfortable and never feel like they are pushing me to make a sale. I've gone to my GameStop so many times that I've formed a friendship with a few of the employees there. This is the kind of customer service that more companies need. Anytime I had a question about a particular game, they had the answers. If I walked in and was looking for a certain genre of game to play (action, FPS, puzzle) but didn't know what I wanted, they more

I know quite a few people dislike GameStop as a corporate entity. Problems range from their less than stellar buy back policy to uneducated employees. That said, I’ve never had anything but excellent service from the folks that work at the location I frequent. I’ve never been afraid to ask for game opinions, as the staff doesn’t just push whatever is hot at the moment, but always ask about the types of games I already enjoy playing. They then base their feedback on that, and I have yet to be led astray. As for the buy backs, I almost always wait for the specials like “trade in 3 games and more

I was shopping at Gamestop about a month ago. I don’t usually shop at Gamestop because I mostly play PC games and Gamestop no longer caters to PC gaming. My sister owns an Xbox 360 and I was thinking of playing the new Madden NFL game which I haven’t played in years. I went to the local store to purchase a new copy. The cashier said that a used copy is 12 dollars less so I bought the used copy.

That night, I pop the game in and the game doesn't start. I take the game out of the console and it’s scratched pretty badly. Gamestop has a reputation of more

Both my husband and I are gammers. As such we spend lots of our time researching new games and the best places to buy them for the best prices. For that, we love to go to game stop. There is one in our local mall and we always end up with excellent service when we go there. They recognize my husband and I as soon as we come in and it's always a pleasure to stop in, even if it's just to browse or to find out what exciting new games will be coming out soon. We have never had a problem with any of the Gamestops we've been to, more

GameStop is a fantastic game store and I truly enjoy shopping there and enabling my family to do so as well. It is a one-stop shop for all of one’s gaming needs, accessories, and other video game related information. The customer service in GameStop is always great, and I enjoy talking to the representatives. I do not know as much about gaming myself, but the customer service representatives really offer valuable, up-to-date information and advice on what to buy for a family of gamers. I have a large family that really enjoys playing all types of video games, so GameStop is a frequent shopping destination for us. During the season, more

In all honesty, I've had some uncomfortable experiences inside Gamestop. While you'll end up with what you wanted, you always feel like you're being judged for the purchase you're making, or having the gall to not tack on a reservation of something else they want you to walk out with. I think the rudeness a lot of people associate with them is overstated as they are not outright disrespectful to customers, but I think their dedication and interest to the products they are selling gets in the way sometimes. They'll help you find whatever you want and they likely have it in stock, just be prepared to say "no" a more

I'm very much into playing video games and always love getting the latest and greatest games that come out. Gamestop has always been a cool place to go and get these items. Its a small store so the customer service can be so so sometimes because it gets so busy and there are usually only 2-3 people working but they are always helpful and can find what you are looking for. They are also really into video games too so a conversation is always there if I want to chat up a video game or 2. I know that they will most likely have the newest games in stock and more

Gamestop is one of my all time favorite stores to go to. It is really one of the only stores dedicated to video games and nothing else. While you could buy your games from Wal-Mart or Best Buy, the employees at Gamestop really know what they are talking about. They are eager to engage in friendly discussion with you about games. Last time I went in, both employees were very friendly and promptly found the exact game I was looking for. Based on my purchase they showed me a list of up and coming games that they thought I would like and showed me how I could pre order them. more

First thing to note, I shop at GameStop alot and make sure to always keep my receipts in a box. I went to GameStop recently to pick up several items (1 Gift Card, 2 computer games and a game book). As usual the service was fast and friendly that day so I wasn't there long. As soon as I got home the bag went into a closet. It wasn't until 2 weeks later that I finally opened the bag with everything in it and happened to notice one of the computer game boxes felt a little too light. I checked inside the case and sure enough there was no disc more

GameStop is the place I go to buy games. I would never buy games from anywhere else because everywhere else overcharges. GameStop also has amazing deals on used consoles. I bought the new xbox 360(the slim one) from them last year for very cheap. I spent the same amount I would on a new one somewhere else that day but by buying used I had the extra cash to buy lots of used games with it, too. I still use that xbox to this day, so quality is assured. The games all worked perfectly from beginning to end and the employees were very helpful to me. I recommend GameStop to more

Gamestop is an alright place, but I've had problems with with them before. The problem usually comes down to either the employees not knowing what item/game I'm talking about or them pressuring me to join the gamestop power club program. I understand that the employees need to push that thing as part of working there, but sometimes it's a bit too pushy and invasive. However, forgetting that, Gamestop does feature some good deals, sometimes online or in-store, for used, new or trading in games/systems. I usually go to gamestop if they have a good pre-order bonus or if I don't feel like waiting for a particular game to arrive to more

GameStop is a bit of a mixed bag, in my opinion. As a customer looking to purchase games, you have many options available – especially in regards to used game purchases. If you want to try to sell games to them, though, you are often given 30% of the MSRP or less, with a few series (i.e. Call of Duty) retaining more of their value over time. The customer service I’ve received from the few I’ve been to has been good, with the employees not trying to push too many pre-orders or incentives onto you, and they are generally knowledgeable about what is being sold. I have made countless purchases at Gamestop throughout my life. Their preordering program is very helpful and efficient. I have preordered a few games from them and got them when promised. I even got an email alert telling me that I could pick it up which is a nice extra feature. Their prices for new games are no higher than anywhere else. Sometimes their used games are way over priced for the game and it's condition, but sometimes they seem like a steal. Same goes for used systems. They also have had some decent sales in the past. GameStop is my favorite place to buy video games, both new and used. I don't play many games myself - I'm mostly shopping for my son when I go to the store. I love that I have someplace like GameStop close by so I can get gently used games for great prices. New games are so expensive and it's frustrating to have to spend so much for a new game. I do occasionally buy games new if there is something especially exciting coming out that my son has been looking forward to. GameStop is the store that I go to when I need (ok, want) the game right then with no wait. If I can wait for a few days, I will always go online instead. GameStop tries to act like a store that knows all about games, but in truth, the employees are probably at most casual gamers. Many times I’ve felt like they wanted me to think they were in on this cool “gaming club” when all I wanted was to buy a game with zero personal interaction. I think they need to not try so hard, unless of course someone is needing that guidance. I will continue to go more

Gamestop is a good company overall. Sure they try to upsell you some, but what company doesn't do that? I went in there recently with twenty bucks and asked one of the employees for good games on the psp. He suggested some good cheap used games and I walked out with some awesome games and change back from purchase. I've returned back to that store because of the good customer service I've received. It's a great place to shop especially if you're looking for older games on older consoles. Along with the steady sales on new games, it makes it cheap and affordable. I have been a customer of various GameStops for many years now. My favorite part about the stores is their preorder policy, where I can put as little as $5 down on a new game and continue to pay on it little by little until it is paid off or until the game's release date. I do this with most of the games I purchase so it's not as big a 'blow' to my wallet as it would be. I've been very lucky with my GameStop employees, in that they have all been very helpful and considerate. A few of them I got to know fairly well because I was more

The Gamestop used to be an Electronics Boutique, or EB Games. So the branding and employees were different. The major thing I do not like about buying games now is the very unforgiving return policy. They figure you are going to burn a copy of the game or something and return it, so they do not want to give returns for any reasons at all. Aside from that they are the place I go to for pre-orders of special editions and collector's editions of games that I want. GameStop is a store I have been going to for the past ten years. It is the only place that I have ever been to that I have been able to have a conversation with the employees for more than 30 minutes and not feel like they are trying to sell me something. One time, I went in not knowing what I really wanted. I asked the employees who were there if they had any recommendations. Gamestop is probably the best place for gamers to buy video games. They sell new and old consoles, as well as computer games. It is the best place to buy anything used as well, and the prices there will probably be no different from that of buying something off of ebay. I would not recommend selling your used video games however. I think you can get a better bargain then just selling for store credit, which isn't very much to begin with. The staff is pretty friendly too, and they always seem willing to help and know what you need or how to answer your questions.

My experience with Gamestop has been mostly positive, except for a few instances in the past. It usually had to do with whenever I had to talk to one of the sales reps in the store. They were usually clueless. I remember once I went in looking to buy a simple normal HDMI cable. They insisted I buy one of their "premium cables". I asked how much it would be, and he replied $64.00. I laughed. He began to insist that I would not find one cheaper anywhere else, and that these cables usually cost upwards of $100.00. Needless to say I did not purchase it. Found one online for more
