The CareCredit Credit Card helps individuals pay for healthcare expenses that aren't covered by insurance. These cards differ from normal credit cards in terms of available financing options and how long you have to pay off the expenses. With the CareCredit Credit Card you can benefit from a 0% APR period of 6, 12, 18 or 24 months, for purchases of $200 or more. But that's deferred interest; if you fail to make minimum monthly payments along the way, or you don't pay off your full balance by the end of the 0% period, interest will be charged from the original purchase date.
The CareCredit Credit Card also has longer-term financing options with low fixed interest rates (rather than 0%) for purchases of $1,000 and up. Those have payoff periods of 24 or 60 months. The shorter the time period you choose, the lower your fixed interest rate will be. There are fixed monthly payments required until the amount has been paid in full.
SYNCB/CARECR stands for “Synchrony Bank/CareCredit.” It refers to the CareCredit Card, which is issued by Synchrony Bank. The card can be used to pay for medical expenses at the 200,000+ U.S. medical facilities that are part of Synchrony Bank's CareCredit Network.
You may see SYNCB/CARECR on your credit report if you have the CareCredit Card or you recently applied for it. If you don't have a CareCredit Card, you shouldn't see that phrase on...

I had this card for over 20 years and never missed a payment, and never paid late. Even though I have not used it in over four years because my last pet died, they decided to lower my high credit limit to just above the balance owed, and it caused my credit score to decrease drastically. It made me homeless because rental properties check credit scores, and I was in the process of moving out of my home into a rental. Thanks to this, I now live in my car. The person I talked to lied to me and was rude. Do not get this card. They ruin you and don't care. They treat their employees from overseas better than the Americans who made the executives extremely wealthy and they dont care

Maxed out my card several times, paid off early a few times. The last time I used it, I paid it off a month later, and they closed my account. Never late, no warning, nothing. I was excited I paid it off so many times, thinking it would provide good reporting for my credit score.

Never made a late payment. Credit score had been right where it was when I opened the account. All of a sudden, they halved my limit without warning and tanked my credit score, wiping out months of hard work. They treat their customers terribly. Don't sign up for this card unless you're absolutely desperate.

Omg me too and I have never been late on a payment and it was opened over 20 years and I have NOT used it in Over 4 years and It happened at the worst time and because of this I’m gonna be homeless. I called and they don’t care & they couldn’t even give me an answer and wouldn’t let me talk to anyone of importance higher up and when they learned I was relentless they blames it on the credit bureaus and letter in my hand said care credit synchrony bank made this decision. I read it to them said something not nice and hung up. I USE TO THINK SO HIGHLY OF THEM CUZ IT SAVED MY PETS thru the years and let me lay them to rest my way. I even suggested them to friends and family I made sure to let them know what BS this was. I’m sorry for long comment but I thought i was only one.

If you could afford to do anything else, please do so. These people are inflexible and rude when you call their customer service line. I'd rather pay double than deal with them again. I'm canceling my card after my promotional rate and then burning it to cleanse my soul. I have a 750 credit score and could have gotten a personal loan through American Express, and I wish I would have. To repeat, their main issue is their customer service is incredibly rude, and that should be a focal point for a bank. I need you to be in my corner, not to cut me off mid-sentence when I'm trying to explain my issue.

When I got my Care Credit Card, it was great; I believe I had obtained it before 2018. I used this card when I first got it for dental work, then for getting glasses, contacts, or even my medicine. It was very helpful with the cost of medications. About a month ago, I received a letter in the mail stating my account had been closed. I never received a courtesy call or anything to ask if everything was okay. They tried to say it was because of high fraud activity, which is nonsense; normally, companies call to verify. The Care Credit itself is great, but the company that provides it is not. If you get it, only use it for emergencies because who knows how long you will have it.

This company was a good idea for me at first because I was able to use it for all my pets, not just one. I had a line of credit of $2,500; then, as I was paying it off, making more than the minimum payment, I had $1,800 left to pay off. My line of credit was decreased to $1,970. I was told it was not them but TransUnion who lowered my credit line. I've never heard of anything like this happening in my life. I would never recommend this card to anyone. I've never had a line of credit lowered because I was making my payments on time every month, more than the minimum. The only reason I asked for the line of credit of $2,500 was because my cat needed surgery that was going to cost $2,200. My card was only open for four months before they decreased my line of credit. So, I canceled my card.

Care Credit was great at first, knowing I had funds available for my pet's vet expenses. However, after six months of having the card and using it, Care Credit reviewed my finances and decided to lower my credit limit drastically. Now, my account is in the negative, and this is reflecting negatively on my credit score. I called the company, only to be told nothing could be done and they were sorry. I have always kept my account paid on time and current. Now, if an emergency arises for my pet's health, I have no way to cover their expenses. After I pay off my balance, I will be closing my Care Credit account. Never have I been treated this way by a credit card company. I do not recommend Care Credit.

I've been a customer since 2020, without a single late payment. They initially approved me for $2,000 for the LASIK surgery. Over time, I was able to increase my credit limit to $11,000; needless to say, it was my most cherished card. In February 2024, I requested an increase, as I do every year. Not only did they not give me the increase, but they elected to decrease my credit by approximately $8,000 overnight, leaving me with only $100 available and $3,000 due. They claimed they sent a letter explaining the decrease, but it's a month later and I've still received nothing. This company's practices are disappointing and unacceptable. Because of this, my card is now showing as maxed out on my credit report. Again, I don’t have any late payments on this account nor any of my other accounts.

Yes I agree, they did the same thing to me, it’s useless being that they decrease the credit limit with no explanation, all they say is “sorry we can’t do anything” like really? I paid my bill on time never late, my fur babies deserve better

Will lower your limit even if you never made a late payment, raising utilization and lowering credit, then they place blame on the credit bureaus. Stay away. Not worth it.

I originally obtained this card to take care of emergency vet-related charges for my first dog over 10 years ago. I charged vet services recently for my new puppy. I called Care Credit to check on the balance amount, paid that amount, and thought I was done. I did not pay attention to subsequent mailings because I thought the bill was settled. However, Care Credit was adding interest and then late fees. I called them, expecting them to remove these additional charges. They refused. This issue has damaged my credit rating, moving me from very good to fair.
I only give them two stars for the first time I used the card for my dog ten years ago.
