I have had a Discover card for at least years now. Its APR was quite low when I first got it-- something like 10.99%-- but it inched up over the years and now stands at an exorbitant 20%. As a result, I never use it anymore. You're better off with a Visa card. Those are more widely accepted anyway.

My fiancé’ introduced me to Discover Card. Before this, I could not believe that any credit card companies had such great offers. I especially like Discover and their 5% rebate for gas a couple times a year. But for Christmas shopping Discover offers that 5% rebate plus an additional 10%, or more, through their ShopDiscover site. Combining these saved me a bunch of cash! The offer changes every three months so be sure to sign up as they change. To make this even better, when you redeem your rebates for a merchant giftcard at Discovers website (or over the phone) Discover kicks in an additional $5 in giftcard value. Discover more

I only just recently signed up to Discover Card but it has already made my life a lot easier. I originally signed up to it via a promotion on Swagbucks as a secondary card to my Capital One card but the fact it came with a long 0% APR intro period has already paid dividends thanks to the fact I got a credit line of $2000 which is more than twice that of my Capital One Card. Then when my computer died on me a couple of weeks ago I was able to put all the new equipment on the card knowing I have plenty of time to pay it more

I have had my Discover Card for more than five years and have been very happy with it. I always pay off my balance so I do not really pay attention to what the interest rate is. The cash back is the greatest benefit to having the card though. I use this card for most purchases and am able to get 1-5% cash back on everything I buy. Roughly each quarter, they offer 5% back on certain purchases made at such things like grocery stores, movie theaters, department stores, gas stations, etc. They make it a little bit of a pain because you have to sign up each time in more

This is the single worst credit card I've ever had. Apart from the high interest rate, dealing with discover has been the most irritating credit experience I've ever had. Some years ago, I had a joint account with an ex-girlfriend. She and I split up, I paid the balance of roughly $200 that was on the card, and cancelled the card, which was difficult, since at the time they expected HER to agree to the cancellation. I explained that wasn't possible, I had no idea where she was, or how to contact her. They then cancelled it. Or so they said. Two years later, someone called me, asking for her. more

We’ve been pleased with our Discover More Card. Even though my FICA score is 769 others turned me down for a credit card. But Discover issued the card with a good limit and zero percent interest rate balance transfer for 14 months. They pocket a 3% fee upfront but that’s still cheap compared to carrying a balance on any credit card. The email reminders work good, as they should. This card has a different 5% cash back bonus discount feature each quarter. This quarter it’s online shopping and department stores. Next quarter it’ll be movies and restaurants. This Saturday December 12th they’ll give an extra 2% for online shopping. The more

Discover is a good starting credit card. As with any credit card, you have to be careful; too many purchases will put you behind on payments and then you’ll just be paying interest. However, if you use it correctly (make purchases you already have the money to pay off or use it for emergencies that you can pay off in the near future), you have a great way to build your credit and get rewards for a credit card that’s accepted virtually everywhere. Discover also offers a lot of quality online tools with your card: online payments, credit tracking, 1% cash-back on everything and 5% on certain purchases throughout the more

I have been a Discover card user for over ten years. I originally applied so that I could get a first card to build up my credit just coming out of college. I enjoyed all the promotions that Discover could offer and the fact that you could get cash back on many of your purchases was a big plus. Their customer service is top notch and they really look out for their customer's security. I made a large purchase that was flagged as suspicious and they called me to verify the purchase before I had even gotten out of the store. For someone just starting out with credit, they are more

As someone who is young and needed to help build up credit, this card was a great choice for helping me do so. I was approved very quickly. The website is great at navigation, for checking out your balance, statements, and whatnot. Also, the card holds promotions often, which is extremely nice. They also have rewards for the card, and it's fairly easy to make points to obtain them. My limit was also, as many others, higher than I expected. Also, out of the cards I own, this one has the best customer service... very friendly yet professional! Just a great card to have around in case.

If you are looking for a card that is not too difficult to obtain to build your credit, this is a good one. They have promotions often too like 0% interest. The APR varies but it pretty competitive too. You can also earn cash back when you use this card to shop. If you use it online you can save even more when you go through their website. I don't really use this card much anymore though. Discover doesn't seem to be accepted a lot of places that I need to use a card so it isn't always convenient. I like to keep most of my charges in one place more

I applied for this Discover Card and was instantly approved. My plan was to build a credit score, as I am just beginning my college journey. The customer support staff was very helpful and I received the card in the mail very fast and I began to pay my school's tuition, books, and supplies. I love that I am able to view all of my statements online, it was may more convenient than getting them in the mail. I even receive text messages notifying me that I need to pay my bill so I never have a late payment. I'm very happy with this credit card and I believe it more

I have been a loyal member since 2003; the year I joined the Navy. I've taken my Discover Card all over the world and never had a problem finding places to accept it. I especially like their cash back bonus feature and I use the card for everything to rack up my rewards. Discover recently partnered with Amazon to accept earned cash back bonuses as payment; which has helped me tremendously now that I am a student veteran trying to maximize my dollar on items such as textbooks, ink, stationary, etc... Overall I’m very pleased with Discover and I would venture to say it’s one of my oldest cards in more

I have had this Discover card for awhile now and use it often. I rarely find a place or store that it is not accepted. The have an easy to use website so you can check the balance, pay your bill, sign up for the 5% cash back awards and receive your statements online instead of in the mail. I really enjoy receiving my statement online thus saving paper and not having to worry about it being lost in the mail. You can also get email alerts on your account for various transactions of your choice. The main thing I love about this card is the Cash back bonus. Since more

I got my Discover card a while back and I have never been more happier with a credit card. When I applied, the process was extremely fast and easy and I received my card a couple days later. The limit I started out with was more than I expected and more than I started out with on other cards. I love their website, registering my account online was very easy and their website is very user-friendly. It is great to have such low APR also. If you ever have a problem their customer service is great and they are fast to fix it. I definitely recommend getting a Discover card.

I got a Discover card when I went to college. It was recommended to me by my dad because even though it wasn't accepted in as many places as my Visa card, it gave much better kickbacks in the form of rewards programs and ease of management. Times have changed a bit and I see Discover is gaining acceptance but other cards have upgraded their websites as well. I still like my Discover card's features online more than I like my Visa card's features, which I have to access through my bank account's website. My credit limit started at $500 and has quadrupled in about 4 years with no effort more

I have been a loyal Discover cardholder since 1991. The limit back then was $500, as I was just starting out. Now, it is at $7,500, and I have never asked for a limit increase. They have provided some really good offers throughout the years, like promotional rates (sometimes even 0%), higher cash backs (like in groceries, gas, restaurants), and top notch customer service. Never have I called them and not resolved the situation on the first call with one of their highly trained customer service representatives. If I had to keep one credit card, it would definitely be this one. Very highly recommended.

I have been using a Discover More Card for about a year and so far, so good. It’s been a no hassle card with really good customer service. There has only been one time I’ve had to use it. They called me about a fishy looking charge but it was just me having traveled to the next state over and using my card to buy gifts. It made me feel good to know they had been watching. The card as a whole is great. I’ve got a low APR and my limit is more then I would have expected to start. I haven’t had it rejected yet. It seems like more

So Ive been a Discover card holder for years and this summer decided to add this particular discover card to my list of credit cards. A part of this logic was that I knew I would get approved due to my history, and second, I was planning on doing all of my holiday shopping with this card. Sadly, money has been a little tight lately, and I knew as the holiday season was approaching, that I would need to make a bulk of my holiday purchases using a credit card. Well I discovered that the Discover More card was offering a 5% cashback bonus up to $1500 for purchases in more

I have had the Discover More Card for two years. I have been pleased with my decision to use Discover credit. My APR is low in credit card terms, so even if I was only paying on the minimum, the payments would be manageable. Despite being my first credit card, Discover gave me a large credit limit to start with ($750).The Cashback Bonus is 5% depending on the quarterly special. It’s 1% any other time so you can rack up rewards really fast if you use the card for that purpose. Discover also offers a lot of useful services. I have used the Discover Credit Card before and they were a great company to go through. If I was sent out the payment knowing it was going to get there a day or two late, all I had to do was call the customer service number and let them know that the payment was sent out. They worked really well with me and would gladly choose them again for another card. The only reason that I left was because of the inability to pay for financial reasons. Discover is great and I hope to get another one of their cards.

A few years ago I lost my wallet with my Discover More card on the train. A few days later I notice unauthorized transactions placed with several websites. After seeing this I got on the phone with a discover customer support agent and he put in a fraud claim. A few days I get a follow up from an agent saying that everything has been resolved and that a replacement card has been shipped to my address. If you are thinking about applying for a new credit card take customer service into consideration, you will avoid a few headaches in the process.

This was not my first credit card, but it was the first credit card I got where I got cash back. I like how there are also certain months or times of the year where they will give you additional cash back on certain kinds of purchases. This is definitely my favorite card out of the multiple that I own, and it is always the first that I go to. My one annoyance would be that when I went to Europe a couple years ago, I was not able to use this card; however, it's not like that's going to happen again any time soon, so it's not a big more

I’ve been using this card ever since my dad turned me on to it; he uses it for his business and loves it. Customer service is always fantastic with Discover, and I don’t think I can recall ever having a major issue. Of course the best part is the %5 cash back this card offers. Since I try to stay away from using too much credit, this really only gets use as a gas card, and a card I do online purchases with, because I know for sure I will be able to pay them back. Regardless the card is amazing nonetheless.

Before I got my Discover More card I didn't really use credit much. Most of my online business was small enough that I could use the same account I use to pay my bills for it. When I got my Discover card my small online video game shop kind of took off! Two times I've had to dispute claims on the card, and both times Discover reps were completely understanding and professional about it. About a month ago my apartment was broken into and my wallet got stolen along with some other personal effects. I notified Discover three days after my own bank (which is based in my city) and more

I originally got this card before college in hopes of building my credit score. It turned out to be one of the better choices I have made. The rewards program is excellent. I mainly use it for the 5% back on gas for six months out of the year but the other rotating rewards are great as well! Even if something does not fall into a category you will still get 1% back. I have yet to pay interest on the card because I pay it off monthly but the APR seems competitive with others in the market. The only problem I have with the card is that Discover is still more

Discover's cash back cards can be a bit tricky to figure out. Until you spend $3000 on your card, you only get 0.25% cash back. After you have spent at least $3000, you will begin getting at least 1% cash back on all purchases.

I originally signed up for this card due to a deal that I found where I got fifteen dollars just for applying through InboxDollars.com. I’m not sorry that I did, because I got approved for the card and the spending limit is much higher than it is on my other card, which is a Chase Freedom card. Having two credit cards can be kind of risky but it also helps to build credit quickly, which I love. The customer service when I signed up for this card was excellent and I received it in a timely manner. I don’t use the card much but since it has a $2,000 limit more

I really enjoy Discover card's excellent customer service. I had lost my card while on vacation and someone had made charges while there. They took off the charges that were made by someone else even before I was able to call them to get my card cancelled. I got a new card right away too! I don't have a really high limit which keeps me from over spending on things I can't afford, but the interest rate is low and you get rewards so it is better to use than my regular bank card where I get charged for using it.

I have a Discover card and it is the best one to have. The minimum payments are pretty cheap and there is no monthly or annual fee. I use this card a few times a month and it is great for earning rewards. You get a cash back percentage just for using your card. My husband has this card and got one in my name also and it is 1 of 2 ways we pay for things when we shop or buy something. The intrest rate on the card isn't that bad either. I am very satisfied with this credit card and with Discover.

I researched credit cards for a while before deciding on one that would be appropriate for me. I did not want to apply for too many as that can affect your credit rating so I was very careful in choosing the best card I could find. I eventually went with this card because there was no annual fee which can be hard to get with an imperfect credit rating and the APR was 0% for the first year. After that it was pretty reasonable, again considering my credit isn’t that great. I have really benefited from the cash back bonuses too and I like how you can take advantage of more

This is my go to credit card for large expense items. It gives up to 5% cash back on select categories each month and a minimum of 1% cash back on everything else. It adds up pretty quick. Right now I am getting 5% cash back on all of my online purchases, just in time for the holiday season. I have had this card for several years, have been an authorized user on another, and had a parent with a Discover Card for over 20 years. Over all of that time there has been zero problems. None. They have a great rewards program which I use to pay off the card when I receive it. This is by far my favorite credit card. It has a high credit limit, great interest rate, and great rewards. I get 5% cash back on many categories that change quarterly. My favorite thing about this card is then there is 5% cash back on gas purchases because I drive a lot. I also like the security that comes with this card. About 6 months ago I got my card information stolen and someone attempted to make a purchase online with my card. BEST CARD EVER! The cashback bonus is wonderful. Great things to choose from with many different options. My wife and I fight over who is going to get to use the rewards points. I was looking for a credit card that had a good rewards program for products that I buy regularly. I figured, if I have to get gas every week or two, I may as well pay using something that will give me rewards while keeping my credit in good standing (easy to do with the 0% introductory rate). I chose the Discover More card because of the high percentage of cash back on gas and groceries, the items that are essential to my day to day life. My discover card is awesome. I love the fact that I can get up to 5% cash back on items such as gasoline and groceries over at least one quarter a year. I also really like the text service where I receive a text message as soon as my bill has been posted, and the fact that paperless bills are an option are both easier( I can check and pay my balance online instead of writing and mailing a check) and environmentally friendly (less paper). This is the first credit card I have had in my own name and the entire experience has been simple and easy. I have had absolutely no problems with this card. The cash back is a wonderful feature and the rotating 5% rewards give a nice extra incentive month to month. At one point I lost my card and unlike a lot of customer service centers, the experience was quick and easy. Although I have many credit cards, I have to say that my Discover card really is my favorite. I use it for just about all of my purchases, whether they are in store, or online. I believe the only card I use more often is my Chase debit card. Why do I use it so often? Simply put, it's the security. This Discover card is not flashy, but it's very secure, and the customer service provided by Discover is second to none.
