The Discover care is fantastic, Its got a great Cash back rewards, that pays out pretty well, and had alot to choose from, and its also very easy to redeem the rewards also! The interest is also great, However the biggest and most challenging problem is use ability, Seems everywhere I go they don't take Discover, this creates alot of uneeded hassle. That by far is my hugest gripe. When I need a credit card, I cant use it, which makes me very angry. Other then the issue with places that take it , I find discover card is one of the best ive found.
  • Stephen Samuels:
Discover is by far my favorite card for cash back rewards. They always offer relevant bonuses on the cash back rewards and when it comes to redeeming the points it is simple and fast. You get to choose from many different types of rewards and the points always add up quickly. Every once in a while do run into the issue of Discover card not being accepted at a given location but that is becoming less and less common. Never had an issue with customer service, and they are always available. The online and mobile websites for account management are also very easy to use.

The only reason that my Discover card is my secondary credit card is because it is not excepted anymore. I was very fortunate to be qualified for it considering the high credit requirements. I love everything about this card. The interest rate is very competitive with most credit cards on the market. The Cash Back rewards are always a welcomed bonus that I take advantage of every year. I've had my Discover for over five years and I do n ot have any qualms about it. I the fact that I'm able to pay my bill at the Sears down the street from where I live. I do wish that more retailers accept Discover.

I got this card after seeing some of the commercials for it. To be honest, I was kind of underwhelmed. The commercials sound great enough, and the introductory APR of 0% is of course good. The problem comes on the somewhat misleading "Up to 1% cash back". Do you know what is up to 1%? Everything below 1%. Now I no longer use this card, as it's not worth keeping up on what the rotating reward categories will be. Coupled with the fact that Discover isn't as widely accepted as some of the other major credit cards, and I would think long and hard before obtaining this card.

Is the Discover More Card – 0% for 15 months the “More” Discover is telling you to find with its subliminal credit card naming? They probably want you to think it is, but we’ll be the judge of that. What the Discover More 0% Credit Card offers is clear: 0% on purchases and balance transfers (3% fee) for 15 months, 5% cash back on rotating categories, and up to 1% on everything else. What isn’t clear is how these terms stack up against the competition, but don’t worry, I got a pro/con list that might help in that regard. Pros - 0% for 15 months: there are other cards out there that offer 0% on both purchases and balance transfers for 15 months, in fact some don’t even charge balance transfer fees and others offer 0% for 18 months, but the ability to escape interest for over a year is a pro regardless. - High maximum cash back rate: 5% on major spending categories is a lot. Cons - Rewards uncertainty: Not knowing which rotating categories will give you max rewards next is annoying, as is having to sign up for the 5% rewards on a quarterly basis, as is getting UP TO 1% cash back on everything else instead of actually 1% cash back. In the end, no matter what need you have, a card other than the 0% Discover More Card will probably be able to meet it better than the 0% Discover More Card. Want to transfer a balance? The No Balance Transfer Slate Card from Chase offers 0% for the same 15 months as Discover’s More Card but doesn’t charge you a balance transfer fee. Want to save on an upcoming big ticket purchase? There are a few Citicards that offer 0% for 18 months. So, needless to say, I’d think about the reason why you’re getting a credit card and explore your options before applying for the Discover More Credit Card with 0% for 15 months.
