What I do like: 1. No annual fee. My LGE Visa Platinum card doesn't either. 2. The 25-day grace period on purchases. 3. The 3-day fee waiver for late payments. 4. The ability to view and pay your Visa account online for free. 5. The 24/7 Visa assistance center toll-free. 6. There is a max late fee of $35. That actually is not bad. But, I also don't like it. 7. There is no max overlimit fee. 8. There is no max penalty APR. 9. There is a low foreign transaction fee of 3%.
What I don't like: 1. No rewards? 2. I don't like that there is a "period" of time to enjoy the introductory rate. 3. The minimum credit required is "excellent?" A lot of people don't have credit at all and need a way just to establish it. 4. There is a cash advance fee of 3% (min $5). My LGE Visa Platinum has nocash advance fee. 5. It doesn't offer any kind of protection for fraudulent charges? My LGE Visa Platinum offers it. 6. I also don't like the max late fee because my LGE Visa Platinum has a late payment fee of up to $20. That is a $15 difference. 7. I'm not able to design my own card with a personal image of my choosing as long as it's appropriate of course - meeting their terms and conditions. With my LGE Visa Platinum I'm able to and the first custom card is free. 8. It does not offer a visa fraud detection service. 9. Does not really list the approved minimum or maximum credit lines.
Overall, I would not switch from my current LGE Visa Platinum Credit Card to the Dollar Bank City Pride Visa Credit Card. But, if I were not with LGE, or had heard of them, this would not be a bad bet. The Dollar Bank City Pride Visa Credit Card does not sound bad and if I wanted an additional credit card with a different bank I would strongly consider this one. There are many pros to this card, but I do not believe it is the best option for me.

So is a Dollar Bank like a dollar store? If so, I wouldn’t have that much Pride in my City if it had one. Jokes aside, you’re obviously considering getting the Dollar Bank City Pride Credit Card, which means you need to see how it stacks up against the rest of the credit card market. Since there are a heck of a lot of different offers out there and I am a credit card nerd of sorts, I got you covered. First of all, the Dollar Bank City Pride Visa requires excellent credit for approval, which tells you to expect a lot since there are a number of very lucrative credit cards for excellent credit on the market. Viewing the City Pride Visa Card through this prism causes initial reason for worry since it does not offer any rewards. That’s not necessarily the death knell for this Dollar Bank Credit Card, though, because it could have great interest rates that make up for the lack of rewards. However, the Dollar Bank City Pride Credit Card does not have great rates. It only gives you 0% on purchases and balance transfers for 6 months. The only good thing about the City Pride Card’s rates is its 1% balance transfer fee. Most balance transfer fees are 3%, so for people who would be able to pay off their debt in a short amount of time, the Dollar Bank City Pride Card could be useful at most times. Not now, though, since there are two cards (the Chase Slate and Discover More) that offer 0% on purchases and transfers for 15 months and do not have any balance transfer fees.
So, we already know that the Dollar Bank City Pride Credit Card isn’t going to cut it. We also know which cards people interested in low interest rates should choose instead. But what about rewards? My favorite rewards cards are currently the Chase Sapphire Preferred, the Capital One Venture Card and the Amex Blue Cash Everyday.
