Auto payments do not always work. You need to check every month to make sure the payment is posted. Of course, if you forget to check, the card company makes money on the late fee.

I have had a dreadful J.Jill experience after being a credit card member for over three decades.
Customer service is terrible. I disputed a charge and closed the account. They did not respond to my issue, yet I received an exceptionally rude call from Comenity, which also assigned late and customer service fees to a closed account that had a review request on it. This is inconsistent with every other financial institution in any industry.
I was also told, inconsistently, that the account was closed as I had requested—though no confirmation was ever provided. Then, I was told it wasn't, and then again, I was told it was. The website is completely unclear as to its status.
Customer service representatives read from a script, whether it is relevant or not, and can't answer a simple yes or no question. They interrupt the customer to recite the script. I recommend not to engage with them.

I have had a JJill credit card since 2009. I have never been late. I paid by statement in full in June. A $3 balance was past due. No idea where that $3 came from but anyway they reported my past due to the credit bureaus and my credit rating went down 50 points. I have thought about calling Comenity Bank and questioning them about this matter but have not taken the time. I don't feel it would do any good. I am really angry at Comenity not JJill.

This was a good deal for me. Just for signing up at the cash register, they gave me 10% off my order which was pretty decent. Plus the order went onto the card, so it saved my debit card from taking the hit at the time. I've since paid it off, and use it a couple of times a year, always making sure I pay it in full. They send some pretty decent offers because I'm a card holder, and that is what usually drives me to utilize the line of credit. The store personnel have always been very friendly and helpful, which is a big plus for me.
