Went to pay online, logged in and it says wrong password. Changed it, logged in again, wrong password. Weird since i save my passwords all the time. It worked the next day, then it stopped allowing me to login ever again. Just says wrong online username/password. I go to change it, won’t let me. I try to pay over the phone, won’t let me. Then late charges hit. I swear they do this on purpose logging people out.

I wish I could give this negative five stars. I had this card and always paid not just the minimum but the full amount owed by or on the due date. There was a day when I was going to pay before work, but their website was not working correctly, so I decided to just pay after I finished work. I paid in full my amount owed, and it was still the day of being due on Pacific Standard Time. Then I saw that I had a $30 late fee tacked onto my account, which is absurd because I had just paid my whole amount in full. It turns out they're on Eastern Standard Time, and I was late by an hour or so. I called to tell them this is ridiculous and was told I could get the fee taken off, which it never was. I had also changed my address, informed them, and never received a bill from them. I come to find out they added another $60 as a late fee (I haven't even been to Sephora in months). They didn't send my bill to the new address and blamed me. Then when I asked for these excessive fees to be removed because I have always paid in full and on time, I had a woman be very condescending and rude to me on the phone and said I just have to pay it, so I closed all my accounts with them. They engage in dishonest practices. Please don't sign up with Comenity credit cards at all, you will regret it. I love my Apple and American Express cards; there's no need to sign up with this unscrupulous company. Dealing with them is an absolute nightmare. I hope this helps.

Unprofessional - Comenity admits to canceling my autopayments without my knowledge, which led to the only missed payment I've ever had in my life, resulting in a credit score drop of over 100 points. They've admitted the mistake but won't do anything to help me dispute it. They won't even let me speak to the credit dispute team. I'm going to freeze the card and never use it again.

Their "rewards" certificates are a hoax! I received a rewards certificate and went in on the day of expiration—which was clearly written on the certificate (February 10th)—and the store manager told me it was already expired and wasn't showing up in their system. I asked how that could be possible, and he even acknowledged that today was the 10th. I came home and called the credit card company, and they said that it expired the day before—that the date of expiration was the 10th, so I should have used it by the 9th (then put the 9th on the certificate)! The credit card company would not honor it, so I canceled the card. Extremely sketchy if you ask me. Considering that I had been sick that week due to my first round of chemotherapy and had been too ill to go anywhere, I decided I didn't need this credit card in my wallet—or life.

Sephora's Visa Card is the worst I've ever worked with. All customer service is outsourced with the least experience and training. They do not read or listen to anything before their automatic replies. They've given me incorrect addresses to send letters, they've had issues with their auto payment system and refused to correct the interest charged (auto-pay should have paid in full). They do nothing for disputes on charges, unlike all other Visa banks. There was a known issue with a vendor that several Visa banks had to apply credits for, EXCEPT SEPHORA VISA. I documented over 20 emails, calls, and letters, and they still have no clue what their job is. Their responses don't even match the complaints (they must all be automated). They send you letters telling you to call them, but when you do, nobody has a clue what they are supposed to do. I highly recommend Sephora Stores but not their Visa. Use Chase, Bank of America, or a higher-rated bank instead.

I wouldn't get this card, get Ulta's instead! I've had so many problems with their automatic payment system and have received incorrect information, causing me to incur late fees. They also reported an incorrect 30-day late occurrence on my credit report. I set up automatic payments in November, I remember doing it, yet for some reason, it says I did not set up until December. I asked so many times if my automatic payments were going to work this month, and lo and behold, they did not. I will be canceling this card. SAVE YOURSELF and DO NOT GET this card. The customer service is terrible.

Horrible card and Comenity Bank is awful. I only ever charged $123 on this card and when I tried to make the payment they said my bank account was frozen. This caused me to have a late charge. Then I called to make my payment which at that point was late, so I explained what happened. They took my payment and the next time I logged in to check my account I had another late fee. They reported the late fee to the credit bureaus even though it wasn't 30 days past due. Is this even legal? Then I logged in to pay that fee, and I couldn't due to the bank account frozen. So I called and of course I am upset because it says I have a $400 limit, but I have 0 available credit. I have been trying for 2 months to get this resolved. I have written them messages through their site as well as called. They told me to there was a system error, and that I had to wait 30 days. It has been 30 days, so I send a message to the message center because it was not fixed. Their response was that I am not allowed to call them and that now my account is reinstated, but it is not. I mean never in my life have I dealt with such BS. At this point, I will just assume they cancelled my card which is fine by me. What a joke.

The customer service is very friendly but they make a lot of clerical errors. I've had to call in to get my name corrected on my credit card twice. When I added an authorized buyer, I also had to call in to get their name corrected twice. Comenity Bank doesn't have an application like virtually every other financial institution. You have to log in through an internet browser every time to do anything with your account. If your credit card gets lost or stolen, you can lock it but you have to go through an internet browser and manually log in. This is a seriously time consuming, dangerous inconvenience in my opinion. Depending on your internet speed, typing speed, and ability to navigate the website, someone could instantly tap charge thousands to your credit card everywhere Visa is accepted before you're able to lock it. I leave my credit card locked because of this but when I'm out somewhere and want to use it I'm held to the aforementioned speed restrictions to unlock my credit card causing potential inconvenience to the merchant and other customers. Other than the customer service representatives repeated clerical errors on the names and the lack of a convenient, quick mobile application, the card is great especially if you shop at Sephora.
