The
Citi Rewards+® Card is a good everyday rewards credit card for people with
good credit or better whose biggest expenses include gas and groceries. The Citi Rewards+ Card has a
$0 annual fee and gives 2 points per $1 spent, on up to $6,000 per year, at supermarkets and gas stations. Plus, you can now earn 5 points per $1 spent on hotel, car rentals, and attractions booked on CitiTravel.com through December 31, 2025. Cardholders who make
$1,500 in purchases within
3 months of opening an account also get a sign-up bonus of
20,000 points, worth $200 in gift cards at thankyou.com.
Perhaps the most interesting thing about Citi Rewards+ is its policy of rounding up the points earned on every purchase to the next multiple of 10. For example, if you earn 93 points on a particular purchase, you’ll get 100 points. And if you earn 3 points, you’ll get 10. This feature will get you about 30% more points, according to WalletHub’s research. The card’s annual rewards rebate also figures to be meaningful for your wallet. For the first 100,000 points that you redeem each year, you get 10% back. That’s worth up to $100 per year.
The Citi Rewards+ Credit Card can also help you save on interest if you get it before making a big-ticket purchase. It offers introductory APRs of
0% for 15 months on new purchases and
0% for 15 months on balance transfers. But there’s also a transfer fee:
3% intro fee ($5 min) for each transfer in first 4 months, after that 5% ($5 min) for each transfer. And the card’s regular APR could be anywhere from
18.74% to 28.74% (V), depending on creditworthiness. So it’s not a great card for financing overall.
Below, you can learn more about the Citi Rewards+ Card’s strengths and weaknesses. This, along with a look at competing
rewards credit card offers, will help you decide whether Rewards+ is right for you.

- Regular APR: 18.74% - 28.74% (V), based on creditworthiness. The average APR among credit cards for people with good credit is 24.12%, and the excellent-credit average is 18.04%. This is not the card for regularly carrying a balance from month to month.
- Foreign Transaction Fee: 3%. The average credit card foreign transaction fee is 1.56%. It’s that low in large part due to the growing number of credit cards with no foreign transaction fees on the market. It’s best to get such a card before traveling internationally or making online purchases through merchants based abroad.
