It was the cash back bonus that drew me to this card. I was unsure about getting a credit card, I've seen too many people dig themselves into a lot of trouble with them, but when I received an offer for this one in the mail, I went ahead and applied. I use it for purchases I would have made anyway, like groceries, or Christmas gifts, and then pay it off at the end of the month. So I don't carry a balance, but I get the benefit of the cash back bonus. Taking advantage of the extra 5% bonus is an even better way to use the card. In just a few short months I've managed to earn $100 in cash back rewards! Even better, my credit score has improved as well, because I am paying the bill regularly, and not carrying a balance. Like a previous poster said, there are a few places that don't take Discover, but I haven't found it to be much of an issue, the only time it was inconvenient was at the movie theater. But many more places take Discover than take AmEx! I'm very happy with my decision to get my Discover card, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone considering a credit card.

I have always been scared to get a credit card and would always laugh at the idea of having one. I thought that if you had cash, use it and don’t buy things you can’t pay for. I realized that I had decent credit and needed to boost it up a little if I ever considered getting one. I decided to get a discover card because my mom told me it was easily the best card she ever had and I knew she had experience. I would say the only problem with the card is that I can’t pay off certain bills but I really like how I can use it in almost every store I go to. They have a shop discover program which is an extension that offers a 5% cash back Bonus at many big store name retailers. I have used this at every store I have been to so far and haven’t got rejected by one yet. I would also like to say that it has great interest rates and the bills that I do get are easy to understand.

For all of my adult life, I have dreaded getting a credit card. For some inexplicable reason, Ive always felt it would be best if I didn't have one. I preferred the feeling of cold hard cash, and I was very content with using my husband's card whenever I needed it. That all changed last year. My husband insisted I build my credit up, and I applied for a few different cards and did just that. Now I have very good credit, and for the past six months I've been using the Discover More Card, and I just love it! Christmas just passed, and I did all of my shopping using the Discover More Card. My husband thinks I went a bit overboard because I spent about $2500. Still, I couldn't be happier, and the children had a great holiday! The rates are great and I only expect my credit to improve. I also love the cash back aspect (it's like seeing an old friend). I am so happy my husband talked me into signing up. This card is a life saver, and compared to the others I am sure I will be sticking with my Discover More for a long long time.

This is really an awesome card. I got an offer for 0% APR for 12 months and 0% apr on balance transfers too. Couldn't beat that. Ofcourse the only thing with Discover is that it's not as widely taken as VISA and MC. When it comes to shopping, most stores take Discover. But when it comes to paying bills, you may find that you have to use a different card if you're a person who prefers to pay your bills by phone or online. Another great feature of this card is the cash back program. To get money back on purchases that I need to make just for using this card instead of paying another way is always a good deal! Another reason I like this card is that there is no annual fee. The card that I had been using had an annual fee of $75 that I was really annoyed with, so getting this card with a 0% APR balance transfer offer and no annual fee is a lot better. I would suggest this card to anyone, although I do think you should also have an MC or Visa debit or credit card too just in case you run into an issue where you can't use your Discover.

I got my very first credit card about 3 years ago. I had an extremely limited credit history and was finding it very difficult for any company to approve me. Then Discover approved me starting at a 500 dollar limit with no interest for a select period of time! Over then next year and half I paid all of my payments on time and they kept increasing my limit by 250 dollars all the way up to 1250. I enjoy their online banking where I can pay as well as look at all of my transactions. My favorite aspect of going through bank of America is their cash back bonus. You can sign up when you log onto your online account for each one, for example you can sign up from January to March for 2% cash back on purchases made at restaurants and gas stations. You can use these for products or, what I like to do, is once you get to 50 dollars cash back bonus you can use it to pay towards your balance.

Discover has always been a reputable card to have. I have had the card for several years now and find that the only drawback is that it is not always accepted in stores and with some online retailers. When I signed on to get the card, the offer was 0% interest for six months and that was great because I was trying to pay my bill off every month, and this allowed me to do that because I wasn't paying interest on top of my purchases. I was also pleased with Discover when they noticed some "abnormal" activity on my card. They stopped authorization of my card until I called them. This happened to me when I was doing a lot of shopping out of state and they declined the card and told the merchant to have me call them. I did right from the store and they put the purchase through because they wanted to make sure I was using my card and that nobody else had stolen it. Overall, I like discover and they seem to be the one credit card company I don't really have complaints with.

I've been a Discover Card user for over 10 years and it's always very reliable, secure and beneficial. The bill is clear, itemized, and easy to understand. They are very secure, they don't put down your credit card number on the bill for security purposes. I had an issue with identity theft and they caught it right away. They stopped the card to prevent any unauthorized purchases. Their biggest benefit is security. They always check with you if you have made unusual purchases or any changes made to your account. Customer service is excellent. They answer your questions and are helpful. Benefits is the Cashback Bonus. It's great! Get Cash back or select vendors to use for your purchases. Lastly, you can choose your credit card picture. They have many different pictures/colors to choose from which makes you unique and helps me separate my credit card from the others. Easy to recognize. Discover is great to use!

I used to have an American Express card until all of the area businesses decided to stop taking it. I dislike VISA so I decided to go with Discover. This card is pretty basic and that's what I like about it. The statements are easy to understand. Usually I just buy what I need for the month, groceries, online bills, gas, etc... and then when it comes in I just pay off the balance. You don't get charged interest rates doing it this way. The rate isn't too bad even if you did have to pay the rates. You have to have excellent credit to be approved for this card and as long as you do it is pretty easy and quick.

Discover gets a lot of grief for not being an Amex or a Visa, but I’ve found that they are accepted most everywhere now. I have always had great experiences using this card in the past. The availability seems to have increased quite a bit. This is your basic credit card, but it suits my needs perfectly. I mostly use it to purchase things that I already bought and just pay it off at the end of the month. I don’t have to worry about interest rates that way. If you are looking to not have a Visa or pay annual Amex fees, then this might be a good choice.

I was recently browsing for cards that had a 0% intro rate and came upon the Discover Card. The application process was pretty painless and I was accepted within minutes and not days like some cards can take. Since then I've really had no issues at all yet. I love the online management they offer and as long as I pay my balance off I will incur no finance charges for 6 months. The one downside to Discover as a whole is that they still aren't accepted everywhere yet. But on the whole I have found most major chains and stores do accept it. If your looking for a solid offer and new credit this is a good place to start looking. Highly recommended!

I have had my Discover Card for a while now. I applied for the great Balance Transfer Rate, and I kept the card for purchasing a new work shop. The Interest Rate isn't to bad, especially compared to my old Bank of America credit card. Currently I'm working to get the balance paid off, I expect it won't take more than 8 months. I always receive friendly service, that is easy to understand, when I call in. I have always contacted a call center in the US, not over seas.

I highly recommend the Discover card. Discover has gained so much acceptance over the past few years and I have always been able to use the credit card no matter where I made my purchase (including online). With my Discover card I've always experienced very simple, hassle-free transactions and helpful customer service. I absolutely love their Cashback program. I had just recently chosen a $20 Discover gift card for my points redemption and boy does it come in handy! I also love the ability to pay my bill directly on their website which is extremely user-friendly. I do have other backup credit cards, but Discover is always my go-to card.

I love, love, love my Discover More card! It's been a lifesaver on more than one occasion. My car broke down and I needed a hotel room over night while the car was being fixed. I didn't have my debit card with me and I didn't have enough cash to cover the deposit on the room. Thankfully my credit card was in it's sleeve. That was the first time I had to use my card, but it wasn't my last. A few months later my car broke down again, time for a new car I know, and this time the repair was quickly done and I was on my way, but only because I had my Discover card with me to cover the cost of the repair. Thank goodness for my Discover card. I don't know what I would do without it!

My girlfriend and I have been sharing this card for a few months and it's been a god-send! Of the other options we've had, Discover has been one of the best choices we've made! We didn't really need the card, but we decided we should have one in case we run into an emergency. Well, sure enough, just a few weeks ago, she hit a deer while driving home, and put some pretty bad dents in the car. We just put all the repairs on the card, and we've taken our time paying it all off. I would definitely recommend it as an option to anyone looking for a credit card.

I've had this Discover Card for over 6 months now and I must say I love it. Discover is always a great choice for anybody looking to get a credit card. Customer service is always top notch any time I have to make a call to them, as they are always able to assist me with my needs and solve all issues very quickly. I receive my bill each month on the same day like clock work and they give you ample time to pay it and make sure you can get it back before the due date. I haven't had one issue with to date and the way they seem to operate I don't every expect to. I like to use this card all the time due to its rewards you can get, so that's a nice perk about this card.
November 30, 2012 at 05:22pm
Discover Card has proven to be an outstanding credit card option. I transferred preexisting balances at high rates and have been able to significantly reduce the debt with their rates. At times when I've had questions or needed help having a card replaced, the customer service lines have been efficient and very helpful. I'm looking forward to taking advantage of some of their rewards programs. More places seem to be accepting Discover. I use it regularly when I go grocery shopping and to the movies. I'll probably start using to to pay some of my monthly bills such as my cell phone service.
November 30, 2012 at 04:48pm
This really is a pretty nice card. I've been working for a while now to decrease a bunch of debt I stupidly got on credit cards. This was really a great find for transferring a good chunk of my credit earning balance. I was especially pleased that it has a 18 month period of no interest on balance transfers. That should give me more than enough time to pay it off. I used to think that Discover wouldn't be accepted in many places; but, it seems to be accepted almost everywhere. Also, since I don't plan to make many purchases with it, it doesn't matter.

My Discover card is definitely worth having. I not only get cash back when shopping at certain stores, like some other cards offer, but I also get cash back when I use it to pay for my gas and my groceries. Which is what makes this card a win-win in my book. The fact that there is no annual fee is also a plus. I decided to get a second card for my husband to have and when I called to ask about it the customer service rep was more than helpful and extremely nice. The bonus from getting the second card, it didn't cost me anything. That is not heard of anymore. I will be keeping this credit card for a very, very long time!

I am a big fan of this card. It is my first and only Discover card. I have a couple other credit cards that I also use regularly. One of the things that drew me to this card is the 0% interest for 18 months on balance transfers. At the time I first got this card, I had a couple other cards that I had balances on that had fairly high APRs. I saved a lot of money transferring my balances to my Discover card and I loved that I had 18 months to pay them off without accruing any interest! I also feel that the 23 day grace period seems very generous, although I try not to take advantage of that, preferring to make my payments on time. The purchase APR is very reasonable too. I also love the cash back option and find that it seems to accumulate fairly quickly. Overall, I think this is a great card if you're looking to transfer balances from other cards or if you're just looking for a good card with reliable customer service and a fair APR.
November 8, 2012 at 08:26pm
My Discover More credit card is one of my favorites. When I first received it, I was surprised at how low the interest rate was; I actually called to make sure it wasn't wrong. Although there are not many rewards to go along with this card, the cash back bonus is a really nice perk when combined with the low interest rate. I always get a little bit back no matter where I shop, and sometimes I even get cash back rewards from shopping online. It really helps during the holiday season when I'm short on money. I've used mine for over a year now and have had zero problems with it.
November 8, 2012 at 06:34pm
I had to work a little on my credit before I got this card, but now that I have it I'm very happy with it. I love the 5% cash back offer and since I have to travel for work, I use it often on gas and it really has helped ease the cost of the pump. The cash back and no annual fee is the reason I chose this card, but I stay because of the excellent customer service and extended warranty service, plus I got to take advantage of the promotional 18 month balance transfer. This is a great card, the only downside I can see is that not all merchants take Discover.
November 8, 2012 at 06:29pm
I signed up for the Discover card to take advantage of the 18 Month 0% interest balance transfer. This was my first Discover card and I was bracing for the same "herd" treatment that I have experienced with other cards. That didn't happen. From the very first call to activate I was transferred to a real human who was nice and extremely helpful. The agent was not a pushy salesperson, but was giving me information about using the card and educating me on benefits I did not know I had. The balance transfer went through without a hitch. I couldn't be happier. I would recommend this card to any one who wants to transfer a balance or take advantage of the cash back program for their holiday shopping.

Discover More Card - 18 Month Promotional Balance Transfer is the perfect card for me. I don't use many of the frills and such on any of my credit cards so I basically look at customer service and interest rates. You do get a percentage back from your purchases which helps everybody. I lost my card a while back and had to get a replacement.. I was afraid of having to deal with this process but truth be told it took all of about 10 minutes to cancel the one account and make a new one. I had my new card in the mail in a few days. There is not an annual fee which is surprising because most reward cards charge these fees. the interest rates of this card is decent... The only thing is you have to have excellent credit to get this card. I highly recommend it because it is simple, reliable and affordable.

The Discover More Card has been an excellent card for the entire time I have used it. The biggest issue that I have with it is that some places do not accept it and I have to use an alternative. I really wish more merchants would accept this card because it is easy to earn points on it. I often will go to the Discover Card website and choose from merchants that accept the card before deciding to purchase something online. Many times there are bonuses for additional points that are promotional. You can really earn big if you buy necessities like gas or groceries using this card. They offer a whopping 5% cash back on those purchases.
November 1, 2012 at 03:05pm
I use my Discover Card as my default credit card. I am forced to carry a Visa because there are still stores that do not accept Discover. The rewards I get from Discover are the main reason I use this card. The rewards are very easy to track and Discover offers bonus rewards on many items and services I use. Redeeming the rewards is also very simple. Using their website I can either have gift cards sent to my home or shop directly through their site. Their reward partner list is extensive and I am able to get exceptional benefits and value from my Cash Back.
November 1, 2012 at 03:01pm
When I decided to get this card it was for a large purchase, I used the free APR. I was just amazed at how much of a cashback I got on this large purchase. I am used to points systems or very small percentages. This card has been a lifesaver for me many times, you get one percent back, and if you are going to a restraurant you get or some department stores you get five percent back. So basically I am getting free money towards food, which is very important. No other card is offering this. I am very happy with their customer service on the phone as well.
October 11, 2012 at 06:09pm
I really like my Discover card because if the zero percent balance transfer. I had a lot of high interest credit card bill that I was able to consolidate on this card. It has been saving me a lot for the last six months and I almost have my balance down to an acceptable limit. The one percent cash back is also a nice bonus. I would recommend this card for people that would like to consolidate their credit card bills. 18 months is a long enough period of zero percent to allow most people to get their credit card bills under control.
October 11, 2012 at 05:51pm
This was a card I got to lower my overall interest earning debt. It was really great for that. I especially liked the 18 month term without interest and that the transfer fee was only 3%. The typical term I saw during my research was 12 months and a 4-5% fee isn't uncommon. I haven't yet made any purchases with the card because I used all my available credit to transfer a balance but when I do, I intend to really take advantage of their good cash back offers on rotating categories. Bottom line: if you need to transfer a balance, this is one of the best cards out there.
October 11, 2012 at 05:26pm
My Discover card is probably the best card I've ever owned. My sister recommended it to me because my last credit provider was unwilling to work with me regarding an issue that was THEIR fault! I immediately paid off my other card with this one just so I wouldn't have to deal with those idiots, who shall remain nameless. The Discover rewards program is very nice as well. I always use my card to buy gas and whenever I eat out, because I get 5% cash back. To be honest, I use to never like using credit cards, but I truly enjoy using this one because I know I will rarely have problems with it and when I do, the excellent customer service that Discover provides will take care of the issue without stressing me out.
October 11, 2012 at 04:11pm
I got this card about 3 years ago in order to transfer a balance for a computer I bought with another credit card when my computer from college died. The promotional rate sounded like a great deal and I wanted to be able to pay off the computer without a lot of interest. The card came in the mail quickly and I was able to use it almost immediately. The balance transfer was very easy and happened very quickly as well. The 3% fee was not a horrible increase, and was definitely better than the 12% interest the other credit card was charging me! I was able to pay the balance off with no problems by making monthly payment for the 18 months of promotional interest. Now I still keep and use the card and take advantage of the 5% cash back categories whenever possible!
