The
Murray State University Credit Card is pretty good bonus rewards credit card for Murray State University alumni, faculty, supporters and students with above-average credit. Although this card is affiliated with a school, it is not a
“student” credit card, and applicants need at least a “good” credit score to get approved. For the best odds, consider that to mean a score of 700 or higher.
The best things about the Murray State Credit Card are its $0 annual fee and its rewards-earning rate:
1 - 3 points / $1. The amount you earn depends on what you buy. Paying for ridesharing services with the Murray State Card will get you 3 points per $1 spent, as will purchases made on streaming and cable services. Plus, every $1 you spend at gas stations and restaurants earns you 2 points per $1. All other purchases provide 1 point per $1. And those points are redeemable for cash back at a rate of 1 cent per 1 point.
The worst things about the Murray State University Credit Card are its unattractive APRs and lack of an initial rewards bonus. As a result of those drawbacks, you’d better plan to pay your bill in full every month, and you may want to consider using another card or two in addition to this one, if you decide to apply.
To help you decide whether or not to apply for the Murray State Card, we’ll highlight some of its most important features below.

Very little about the Murray State Credit Card is specific to the actual Murray State University, unfortunately. There is vague language online about how the card may help support the school but no specifics. Plus, the card’s rewards seem geared toward young adults, yet applicants need an established-adult credit score to get approved for an account.
