I love this card! All I have to do is spend money and I earn points towards a free flight, it doesn't get much better than that. Both my Mom and I fly Southwest because they're the most economical way to travel to where each other lives. We both got this Southwest card so we can see each other more often! Being able to earn points towards a free flight means we can see each other one or two more times during the year. Aside from that perk, it's a good card to have. They monitor transactions so when something looks fraudulent they let you know quickly. If I've ever had an unauthorized charge or a dispute with a merchant, they've helped fix the situation. Customer service is easy to get to, online banking is easy to navigate.

Before I had a dedicated business credit card and needed to fly constantly when setting up my business this was a great card. I'm a loyal Southwest airlines customer so why not save on flights. Some credit cards make it difficult to redeem travel points but this was always a simple process and I've already used it to receive quite a few flights. They frequently have opportunities to accrue additional points like when redeeming for airport services, rental cars, hotels etc. There is an annual fee but if you're looking for a card to redeem for Southwest air travel you can't beat this great card. Online banking is easy to use and customer service has always been friendly and helpful the few times I've contacted them.

The Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards card is the main credit card that I use. If you spend $2000 in the first 3 months, you get two free flights to just about anywhere in the continental US! I actually found that I had enough points for 3 round trip flights, so it was a pleasant surprise to get more than was expected. With this card, you are always earning points when you spend money and they have special partner programs to help you earn points even faster. Though there is a $69 annual fee, they help offset that by giving you an extra 3,000 points on your anniversary. Points can be used for more than just flights as wel. They have a great redemption program for car rentals, hotel stays, gift cards to all sorts of places and much more. This is one of the absolute best cards on the market, hands down!

TThis is my main card that I use. I have had no problems with it whatsoever. I tend to travel a bit so this card fits my needs perfectly. I've used my points on this card to travel to Florida twice already and am planning on taking another trip in the near future. I have never had any problems with this card in any store or for any service, it's always accepted. I also like how it's different from many other cards that my friends have. I pull it out and people tend to ask me what it is and of course they like it after I describe it.

This card is my absolute favorite! I am usually weary of opening new credit cards but this one is a must! There is only a $69 annual fee but it is worth it if you include the free flights from southwest! I used my points on this card to book a flight to Disneyland with my sister and even used the points on the hotel! I also love the fact that I can get more points with my regular purchases. Southwest is initially one of my favorite airlines due to the value and quality of service. I think that this card is excellent for college students who want a free flight home on break.

This card is great! I initially signed up for it when I was making semi regular trips from GA to CA. I have gotten two flights for very cheap (you still have to pay the security fees, but they're only like $10 round trip). The initial bonus was great, and the rapid rewards program makes it very easy to rack up lots of bonus points. Customer service is great, and the online banking is very easy and user friendly. The only downside is the annual fee, which is negated once you consider the amount of points that they give you every year for being a continuing card member. It also seems that the very friendly Southwest Airlines employees treat you even better than normal once you have this card! Bottom line is that I love Southwest Airlines, and this card has really been amazing when it comes to saving a ton of money on travel.

I absolutely adore this card. I originally got it earlier this year since my family is going to Disney early next year, and flight costs were absolutely going to kill out budget for the trip. The initial standard offer was fifty thousand points for signing up, which would have gotten me pretty much two of the three tickets I need for my family to fly from BWI to Orlando. The day after I got my card, I received a different offer of eighty thousand points if I spent three thousand dollars in the first three months. I was a bit sad at the timing, but when I called customer service, they gave me the updated offer immediately! With this, I was able to purchase the tickets I needed completely on points with Southwest, and am nearly able to afford to rent the van my brood needs on points as well. Excellent customer service, and very valuable rewards.

I really love this card. I use this card to pay for rent to get the points that I need for free flights. Being a college student, this card as really helped me to fly back home. It's nice how you are given so many points when you first get the card. I have flown 1 round trip flight this year and planning another for my winter break. So far so good, I have really enjoyed getting the points to fly. I would recommend this card to anyone who wants to fly for free. Southwest is a great airline and I've had nothing but good experiences with them.

This card is by far the best one in my wallet! Rapid rewards points accumulate quickly and the points are added to your account quickly. The 50,000 bonus points gain by spending $1,000 in the first 3 months is a great deal, just make sure you have enough money to pay it down each month. The annual fee is paid back in points, which is a nice bonus. I have never had problems using the points I have accumulated with the card. The bonus reward partners with Rapid Rewards make it even easier to gain points using this card. All things considered I have gain 3 free flights with this card in just under a year! I will definitely be sticking with this card for a long time.

This card is the only one we use. We loved the free flight with the initial purchase. It's crazy how fast points add up. Also, you can use the points for more than just flights. The payment is really easy. Since we were already banking with Chase, it is just added to the bottom of our online account information. The card has great customer service and many other ways to get points. Since there is an annual fee, it is beneficial to use this card often. In our opinion it's totally worth it because we love Southwest!

I must agree this card is wonderful. When I signed up a year ago I however was not required to spend $1k to get the 50k in points, I just needed to make one purchase in any amount. These points have definitely come in handy, it is essentially a free flight. The point system is very rewarding in that you are awarded points for purchasing SW travel and again for using your card. This applies to car rentals, hotels, dining, etc. I have almost 80k in points and they reward you on your anniversary with bonus points and SW has no blackout dates, points don't expire and no baggage fees. My only issue with this card is that I use it more then I pay it off! Totally worth having in your wallet.

I love this card. I have flown on Southwest Airlines for the last 10 years. If I am planning a business trip or vacation, South West is always my go to airline. Especially now that most of the other airlines charge you for everything from pillows to baggage fees. I was elated when I found out that the company now offers a Visa credit card. I love the fact that every time I use this card for a purchase, I earn points toward my next flight. I would recommend this card to any one who travels quite often and enjoys a good bargain every now and then. Using this card is the quickest way to earn a free trip.

My husband and I have had this card for almost a year now, and it's been great for us. With family scattered all over the country, we end up flying at least once a year. Last year it was several flights. That can get expensive, but this card helps a lot! Why not get rewarded for the money you already have to spend? We got our annual trip to see family covered for free, and our vacation tickets are already covered. It's definitely worth the annual fee. Overall we've saved so much money having this card!

I recently applied for the southwest rewards card and I got a bonus of 50,000 points after my first statement. I love southwest airlines and I love that I get points for spending money. It is really convenient that I get points for all my purchases. The interest rate is kind of high for my taste, but just as long as I pay off my bill every time it doesn't bother me too much. I use this card for everything; gas, groceries, and whatever else I need. I've been able to book two round trip flights so fare with my sign up bonus and I still have some points left over!

I use my SW card for everything; gas, groceries, utilities and everything in between. I earn over 8,000 to 10,000 points a month by doing this. I have earned over 4 round trip flights this way in the last year alone. The points are quickly added to my SW account and booking is a snap. The interest rate is low, but I pay it off each month so I have yet to pay any. The yearly fee is 69.00. It is worth it, based on the savings I get on flights! A great card to carry!

I have owned a rapid rewards card for a few years and I can say that I am very pleased with it so far. My parents pay for its use and I have a limit on what I can spend. The biggest benefit I find is that I can use it out in LA and my parents use the rapid rewards points to come and visit me. Being a Visa card is also a huge plus in my opinion. Almost anywhere I go accepts visa, and so I never have an issue when I need to put something on my card. With my mom, dad, sister, brother and I all using rapid rewards cards, the reward points just pile up and allows for my family to take trips that keep us all as close as we were when we all lived under one house.

I love this credit card! I use it for daily purchases and let it rack up my points to earn trips! I have had this card for a year now, and wouldn't have any other card! The interest rate is bar none one of the best I have ever had! My only problem is that it is too easy to use! I love the online statement, it is so easy to use. I love the fact that it is so easy to link your southwest airlines rewards card up. It was almost effortless! If you haven't done so already to and get yours!

I have been a card member of the southwest rapid rewards card for several year now and am glad to be a member. The primary reason I have this card is because I only fly South West Airlines. It is my favorite "no hassle" airline. The main benefit of the rapid rewards card is that you can earn a free flight, which I have done and been quite happy with that perk as I fly quite a bit on pleasure and business. I know that the real benefit comes in first signing up for the card with the initial signup points, but to me it is still a worth wild card, because this is really the only airline I ever fly. I Fly South West mainly because they have the highest safety rating of the airlines and they are as mentioned a no hassle airlines. I'm glad to be a card holder.

Even though this offer seems like its changed a lot over the years, Id still get it if I didn’t care how my credit score was over the next few months. I mean, I’m all for a free roundtrip Southwest Airlines flight. With that being said though, the Southwest Airlines Credit Card may not be the best offer of its kind on the market right now and if you just want to open one credit card right now, it might not be for you as a result. Why don’t we find out with a little pro and con. Pros - Free flight: I don’t want to give anything away, but I kind of think this is the Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Plus Credit Card’s only strength. Cons - Ongoing rewards: 2 miles per dollar with Southwest and 1 per dollar everythere else isn’t too good especially since travel cards give you 2 miles on every purchase. - Balance Transfer Offer: The Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Card doesn’t have a 0% intro rate but has a balance transfer fee, so the one point per dollar it gives you on transfers isn’t worth it. Youd be better off using the No Fee Slate Card. - Purchase APR: No 0% rate here either. Its clear thatn the only only reason youd use the SouthWest Rapid Rewards Credit Card is for its initial bonus, and if you want to do that go for it. I wouldn’t do it in lieu of getting a card like the Chase Sapphire Preferred cause that offers $500 in travel,

Umm to the poster that claimed 30k points a year and 2 free flights- to my knowledge it is 3000 points per year and as of right now 25000 point signing bonus which equals a little more than $400 worth of Want to Get Away tickets- so you could get 2 $200 roundtrip flights if you can find em...

I feel bad for anyone who doesn’t know about this offer. In case you didn’t catch it above (I don’t know how that’s possible, but people have short attention spans these days), by opening the Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards® Plus Credit Card and making A SINGLE PURCHASE you get TWO FREE FLIGHTS! While only Southwest Airlines frequent flyers would care about the ongoing rewards this card offers (1-2 points per $1 spent and 30,000 bonus points each year), anyone can benefit from such a great initial bonus. There doesn’t seem to be a catch either, for all of those cynics out there. Yeah, the free flights you get aren’t going to be first class (they are Want to Get Away fares, I believe), I don’t think anyone would feel too bad for you flying coach for free. I’ve flown Southwest before and it’s pretty nice, and while you probably want to book Want to Get Away Flights as far in advance as possible, they’re usually available as close as a couple of days before take off. The only word of caution I would give consumers interested in taking advantage of this Southwest Airlines credit card deal is that you MUST have at least good credit (FICO score of at least 660) and you should not open a new credit card if you have applied for more than a few in the past couple months—this can damage your credit score. If neither thing is a concern, don’t even wait to get the Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Plus Credit Card!
