I had a Target store credit card a few years ago, but didn't really use it all that often. I think I first purchased it because it gave me some amount off for groceries. So, for example, I spent about $80 in groceries and I believe I got about 10% off or so. After a few years, I realized I hadn't been using it very much so I canceled it. I can say that canceling the card was no problem, which was nice and isn't always the case. I'm not sure how opening and closing store credit card accounts affects your credit score, but I don't think it does, but that may be something to consider when thinking about a store credit card. Note that a poster below indicates that you continually get 5% off every time you use the Target card, which may also be a consideration.

A few months ago I was redecorating my house and needed quite a few things, so I went to my favorite store, Target. The cashier noticed how much I was buying and offered to open a Target store credit card for me to help me save 10% off this purchase. Normally I would decline such an offer, as I tend to stick with my two main Visa cards and avoid store cards. However, I was buying almost $1000 worth of items that day and I ended up saving almost $100! I thought I would stop using the card after that day, but I found out I now get 5% off every time I use my card at Target! It has now become my favorite card to use.

I've had a Target card for about 2 years now because it was convenient to have for sending kids off to college. One of my daughters works at Target and got 10% plus the 5% plus a few coupons you get by being a loyal Target card user. It is so easy to pay off and they give you great random Target only coupons. The 5% is nice too because it is usually half our tax, which tends to run high at our store. Plus you can always just head over to customer service and pay off your debt. Overall if you are responsible with credit, the Target credit card is a good choice for you and can save you tons of money in the long run!

I signed up for and begin using my Target card a few months ago. They do seem to relentlessly push those cards on the customers at each visit. It can be too much, but then again I did give in and sign up. So apparently their tactics do work, at least in this case. They approve quickly and it has helped me work on getting my credit rating back up. The limit on the card is small but sometimes that is a good thing so I don’t go overboard. The APR is slightly high but most store cards are this rate or even higher, so over all it’s not a bad deal. It’s very convenient to buy your everyday items with the card and in the process work on your credit. Definitely the most convenient store card I’ve ever had.

The Target credit card is a must have. Especially for my family and I. My wife loves this store and so do I. We finally decided to apply for the Target card because we shop there so much. The savings with the Target card sure do add up – we’re a family of four so this is a huge deal! We’re into saving as much as we can when spending our hard earned money and the Target card is a great way to save over time. If you’re a Target love like I am, sign up, apply, get the card and get the savings. You’re welcome

Having a Target Superstore so close to me makes it all worthwhile to have the Target Store card. It’s amazing that I get 5% off my purchases and usually get nice surprises in my email for special offers. Not only is it saving me money, but it is also helping to restore my credit. I was approved immediately but was only given a $300 limit which is fine by me. This is by far the best store card I have since I get the 5% off any purchase. The card is highly useful for clothes, food or any high end electronics. Highly recommend this card for anyone wanting to save some money!

I just recently got a Target store card after talking with an employee. The employee's had a habit of constantly asking with every purchase if I'd like to sign up for one but I was very reluctant to get one and didn't know I'd get 5% off every purchase. After learning about the 5% off every purchase, I decided I'd take a few minutes out of my trip to apply for one and was approved. I shop at Target at least 3 times weekly and this has saved me a lot on my purchases. I haven't had any problems paying it off but then again I try not to carry a large balance on it as it has a semi-high interest rate for a store card but it will save you in the long run if you are a weekly Target shopper like myself. It's also helpful because Target seems to have every item imaginable so therefore you can save 5% on mostly everything. Like I said before, great card but avoid leaving a huge balance on it as you'll pay very high interest rates.

I never thought I would enjoy having a specific store credit card until I decided to apply for my Target card. Target is like my home away from home so to speak. I've been a Target shopper ever since I first stepped into a store. I shop there for all of my family's needs and will continue to shop at Target so it only made sense to finally apply for one of their cards. Really, I should have applied sooner. I really love my Target card. Money is tight right now and I love the 5% discount, it's basically just icing on the cake. I even use it to buy online! So convenient, in my opinion. It's so easy to use inside the store as well, just slide and go!

I used to have a Target store card that I used religiously for about 2 years. I really enjoyed having it and if I remember correctly the interest rate was very reasonable. It was the one card that I never had any issues with paying the bill because the fees were not completely outrageous every month. I loved that it could be used on anything in the store and that you always get 5% back on your purchases. I would mostly use it for home goods and little extras I might not normally buy, but if there was ever a week I needed a little help with groceries, it was nice to have it available as a back-up. I learned recently that they also now offer a debit card that still gives you the 5% back but helps keep your spending in check. Overall a great card to have on hand!

I've had a Target store card for several years, almost 5 now I think. I really like that I get 5% off of any purchase when I use it. It's not much, but since I mostly opened it to raise my credit score, it's a nice bonus. I loved the easy application and instant approval. It was nice to know right then and not wait on the dreaded rejection letter in the mail. I've never had any problem with it. In fact, the few times I've had to call customer service, they've been absolutely wonderful. I couldn't ask for a better store card.

Where to begin with this card? I have been using it for about a year now, and it is fantastic! I will start with the only drawback. I have stellar credit but the credit line I got when I applied for was not that great. But it is only a store card, so you can't expect too much. Now on to the positives! First, applying is a breeze and you find out pretty much instantly if you get approved. The customer service is on par with what you would expect from target, excellence! The 5% cash back on all purchases is hands down the greatest thing about this card, however. It is an amazing deal, especially if you coupon, and catch deal items! Finally you get free shipping on anything from target.com which is awesome if you do a lot of ordering from there, because shipping can really add up to bite you! This is a fantastic card for anyone that frequents target!

I have recently gotten the Target Red Store Card again after many years without one and I had forgotten how truly convenient this card is. Getting 5% off on every purchase is an unexpected added bonus. I especially like the large variety of merchandise available through Target that the Red card can be used for. Decisions on large ticket items have been swayed to this card for me because of these reasons. The sales staff has been very helpful, as well, should I by chance have a need to return an item that I purchased with my Red card. They readily credit my card with any return, no questions asked. I love my RED card!

I have had a target store card for many years now and I love it! I love it especially since I have had my daughter because we get all of her baby supplies and clothing there. Getting 5% off when shopping online is a great bonus because of the amount of money I spend at Target. I really enjoy the larger purchases because of discount and when buying big ticket items that can really matter. Overall, the customer service has been excellent with the Target card as well. I enjoy the appreciation from Target staff for being a Target card customer.

I have had the Target credit card for a number of years. Its great when you get the 5% off all purchases made with the card in store. It came in handy when I bought my last big purchase on Black Friday when I bought a TV and got a little extra off of the low price. Not a credit card that you want to carry a balance on as the interest rate is a bit ridiculous, and the late fees can add up also, but if you shop there a lot and can pay the entire balance off each month, I would highly recommend getting this card.

I have had a Target store card (red card) for years and have never had anything but EXCELLENT customer service from them! I love that the card can be used in the Super Target stores where I can find everything I need off my weekly shopping lists. Sometimes I use the card to buy a larger item and then make payments on it until it is paid off * this works really well when Target is having a great sale on an item I need! The Target card is easy to use and easy to pay. The interest rate is competitive and you get special offers for being a Target card holder. The discount that I am eligible for when making purchases just add to the long list of benefits of having this credit card account with Target. I highly recommend applying for a Target red card!

Avoid this store card at all cost. True, it is easy to apply for this card but so are with the other store cards. Target's late payment policy is excessively stringent. Whereas other store credit cards (and even the high-end ones such as Lord & Taylor) will simply slap you with a reasonable late-payment penalty which is usually in the range of $25 to $35 when you are a few days late, Target will start calling you in a few days after you have missed your payment due date. For example, Target pestered me with harassing phone calls daily when I knew that I was just a few days late. I ended up paying them but also asked them to cancel my card. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

I have a target card and I love it. I applied in the store and was approved on the spot and was given a temporary card. I was also given a coupon for 10% off my next purchase, which I was also able to use online. Target is a good card to have for me because of all of the things they sell in the stores, like groceries, baby supplies, and household items. I have been low on cash and needed emergency items, so I go to Target and use my card. The best part about having the card is the five percent discount at Target stores and Target online purchases. This card really comes in handy for me and my family. I have never had a problem with my bills or with customer service. The people on the phones are always polite and kind and are willing to help, which is nice. I would recommend this card to anyone who shops at Target on a regular basis.

I just applied for received my new Target credit card. The application was very easy and fast. I had approval in minutes. I got this card to save me the 5 percent off on purchases. I also do a lot of my shopping online and this card gives me free shipping. I would recommend this card to anyone that does any shopping at Target. You do not have to have the best credit to get this card either. My credit rating is average, but this is a great way to build credit as well. The savings from shipping and percentages off is a no win situation.

I have just recently gotten the target red card and I have had no trouble with it so far. I love that it saves you five percent off each purchase that you make. I go to the website that is very easy and pay off the amount right away and I have never had trouble with the site or payments. The application process was very quick and easy as I did it in the store, I was approved and accepted right away. As soon as I got the card in the mail, which didn't take long, I was able to use the card right away with no problems. Overall I am very satisfied with the target card and I am happy that I got it.

I have been using the Target card for about 6 months now, and I honestly love it. I have the credit card version, but you can also get a debit card. I really love the perks of the card especially the 5% off all purchases! I shop at Target for groceries, my prescription, household items, clothes; you name it so it really helps. It also helps because with the credit card it’s easy for me to see how much I am spending there each month. It’s fairly easy to view your balance and pay off the card online so I appreciate that feature too. It was easy to apply for the card and as a college student it helped me to build my credit since it was only my second credit card I had ever used. It is also good for getting free shipping at target.com. Used with the prescription deal (you can link your Target pharmacy card) you have the opportunity to get a 10% off shopping trip after filling a certain number of prescriptions. Overall I would recommend this card to anyone who shops regularly at Target.

I love everything about Target and I especially live their credit card. I am an avid Target shopper and I love that I can save money on purchases by using my card and of course the coupons that I receive from month as an incentive to shop more is a huge perk. Why not save money on purchases I would make anyway. The Target card customer service is always helpful. I needed their help about 6 months ago when my wallet was stolen. I had been a loyal customer for 3 yrs. and I wasn’t held accountable for all the fraudulent charges brought forth by the thief.

I am a big fan of my Target store card. I love the store anyway, and having a card I can use at the store is great. Target has just about everything my family needs, clothes, shoes, food, you name it. Plus, the stores are usually clean and well stocked, not like the other big name store in my area. There are a couple perks I love about the card. First of all, I get 5% off of my Target purchases. That means less guilt when I buy things I don’t need. Also, there are prescription perks, but I am not on anything at the moment. I get coupons in the mail from Target. That is really nice, too.

I’ve always had good experiences using my Target Red Card. In fact, with the recent expansion to my local Target to include a produce section, it’s become my one stop shop. The Red Card allows for an instant 5% discount on purchases, and it only takes one swipe at the register to complete a transaction. The website is easy to use so I can flawlessly manage my Red Card and easily pay my bills on time. During Christmas season, I do a lot of online shopping and my Red Card gives me free shipping on any purchase made on Target.com. It really has been a great investment.

When I originally got this card, I thought it was pretty simple. It was just a store card, and it gave me a $250 credit line that I could pay off easily and use to build credit. Then it turned into a VISA credit card and the limit was upped to a staggering $4000. In my exuberant youth, I managed to rack up quite a bit of debt on it before I learned The Way Of The Card, and it wasn't until I took a look at the APR that I nearly had a heart attack. It was so high that the monthly minimum payments I could afford to put on it were doing absolutely nothing to chip away at the debt. I ended up opening a much better account with a Citibank card and transferred the debt, which was paid off quite quickly once I got away from Target. I never shop there these days anyway, so the saving money on Target purchases does nothing for me. Out of all my credit lines, the Target card has been deemed "Only To Be Used Upon Penalty Of Death".

I love saving money on my Target purchases. It is nice to save 10% on whatever I buy there. The only complaint I have is that I have the same credit limit I started with 5 years ago. I had bad credit when I got the credit card but have always paid on time. If you have a target card it can be great on big purchases with the 10% discount. I wish you could increase your credit limit easier or at least outline how to do it exactly. I would recommend this card to anyone who shops at target.

I'm reading a lot of comments here that really like their Target credit card, and I liked it as a baby-credit card, but after seeing what other credit cards give me, I really think that the Target credit card is sub-par. When I signed up for it (years ago) I got 10% off my purchases for 24 hours (cue spending spree) and they would randomly send me 10% coupons/vouchers throughout the year if I spent X amount. I never really got any additional rewards AAAND the APR was high AAAND my credit limit was oddly low. It never made sense. Over the years I've used it less and less and now I just keep it around to show that I've had it for so long and I have X amount more on my credit limit available. It was good to me then, but I think there are better cards now. It's a great card if you always shop at Target, but I wish they would give more than just 10%!

I shop at Target at least once a week so I applied for this credit card to receive the discount that day and discounts in the future. I do not use my card very often but I do use it during the holiday or special occasion seasons to receive the cardholder discount which is helpful during those times. The interest on the credit card is high so I am sure to pay it off whenever I use it to avoid a high balance. Target customer service for the card is easy to reach if there is ever an issue, which is always a nice touch. I would recommend this card to anyone who is a frequent Target shopper.

I have had my Target credit card since 2008 and I really enjoy it. While it is my most tempting credit card it really comes in handy and seems every time I pay it down I find something else I would like to purchase with it. I like that you get 5% off of everything and this really makes it much easier to rationalize purchases. I also really enjoy receiving free shipping on anything I buy online. I recently made a furniture order and saved over 45.00 just on the 5% and shipping discount alone that I wouldn't have saved if I had used a different card. I highly recommend this card however also recommend really thinking about your purchases before making them as the card is very easy to fill up fast for me as Target is one of my favorite stores.

As a frequent shopper at Target, it occurred to me to get the credit card one day. I had “okay” credit- certainly not good OR bad. I was THRILLED when Target approved my credit and gave me a card. The 5% off was a major selling point for me, since I do all of my shopping at target including groceries, pharmacy stuff, back to school supplies, clothes, and more. I like that you can pay hassle free at the store. The only drawback is that interest is definitely a bit high, but if you pay your card off as soon as possible, it isn’t much of a problem. I definitely recommend this card to someone seeking the 5% discount benefits.

Target always wants you to sign up for this when you check out and I finally gave in. IF you do a lot of shopping at Target you can save a lot with this credit card. 5% off your purchase doesn't seem like a lot but since they have everything from groceries, a pharmacy and electronics you could really save. I wouldn't recommend carrying a balance because the APR is a little high but if you can pay it off when you use it you will get a bargain. You can also benefit a school of your choice by using the card which is great for parents, teachers, grandparents etc. No complaints about anything yet!
