Wayfair Credit Card Requirements for Approval
The Wayfair Credit Card requires a 700+ score for approval; this means you need at least good credit to get this card. The Wayfair Store Card, on the other hand, only requires a fair (640+) credit score. So, it would be a good idea...
You need a credit score of 640-700 or higher to get a Wayfair credit card. You can get the Wayfair Store Card with a fair credit score of 640+, while the Wayfair Mastercard Credit Card requires a good credit score of 700+. The two cards share an application, and you can choose the card you want if you get approved for both.
Applicants can check their Wayfair Credit Card application status by calling 1-800-365-2714. When you call, you'll need to provide your Social Security number so that Citibank can match you to your application. Citibank does not allow you to check your application status online.
How to Check Your Wayfair Credit Card Application Status
No, the Wayfair Credit Card isn't a charge card, but a regular credit card.
The main difference between a charge card and a traditional credit card is that with a charge card you have to pay your balance in full each month, while a traditional card allows you to carry a balance between months.
Keep in mind, though, that by carrying a balance you will be charged with interest.
The Wayfair credit card program switched partnering banks in 2020, moving from Comenity Bank to Citibank. Certain Wayfair credit card customers were sent replacement cards that were issued by Comenity but unaffiliated with Wayfair, while others had their accounts closed.
In order to get a Wayfair card now, both new and previous cardholders need to apply for the Wayfair Credit Card or the Wayfair Store Card. The Wayfair Credit Card requires good credit or better to qualify, and it offers 1% - 5% back in reward dollars,...
No, Wayfair is not using Comenity Bank anymore, because the Wayfair credit card program switched partners back in 2020, moving to Citibank.
If you're looking to apply for a Wayfair card, you have two options: the Wayfair Credit Card, which is available for people with good credit or better, and the Wayfair Store Card, which accepts applicants with fair credit or better.
Both Wayfair cards offer the same rewards for Wayfair purchases, but the Wayfair Credit Card can be used...
To cancel a Wayfair Credit Card, call customer service at 1 (800) 365-2714 and ask a customer service rep to cancel your card account. Cardholders can also cancel an account in person at a Citibank branch.
Be aware that if there's a balance remaining on the canceled account, you are still required to make at least the minimum payment every month until the balance is paid in full. In addition, if you cancel your credit card, you will...
You can get approved for the Wayfair Credit Card immediately after applying if your application meets the issuer's exact criteria. However, if you don't get a decision immediately after applying, it doesn't mean you won't have a shot after your application is reviewed in more detail. In that case, you should receive a decision in the mail in 7-10 business days after your application is submitted.
It's worth noting that when you submit your application, you'll...

In November 2023, I made a $4000 purchase with my credit card, opting out of the promotional offer. I received 5% rewards, which I used. Upon speaking with customer service, they insisted I switch to the promotional rewards. They transferred all my purchases to the promotional balance and charged 5% cashback to my card. However, there was an error, and one charge did not go through as a promotional charge. In January, I was hit with a 33% interest charge. After an hour-long call with customer service, they assured me they would resolve the issue, but February brought the same problem. Again, they promised a resolution, which never materialized. Come March, I was slapped with another 33% interest charge. Now I'm left with a $1290 payment at 33% interest, and the 5% cashback has been deducted as well.
This experience serves as a stark warning against such credit cards. They employ enticing tactics to lure customers, only to siphon away our hard-earned money.

Nothing works correctly. I received my credit card after two months due to issues with sending the credit cards. The next issue is the promotional rates.
Dealing with the Wayfair credit card has become a source of immense frustration for me. Despite their initial promise to apply a promotional rate for purchases above $4,000, I found myself charged interest in January for a portion of my purchases, despite their assurances. Upon contacting Wayfair, they assured me they would rectify the issue and reversed the interest after an hour-long hold.
To my dismay, a similar situation unfolded in February, with a staggering 39% interest charge. Again, I spent an hour on the phone with a credit card agent who promised a resolution. However, as we enter March, the issue remains unresolved, leaving me with a non-promotional balance in my account. I have invested a significant amount of time—approximately three to four hours—engaging with customer service to address this matter. The recurring need to call every month and repeat the same concerns, coupled with the lengthy conversations, has turned this experience into a truly frustrating and disappointing ordeal.

If you have any other Citibank credit cards and have issues with one Citibank credit card, they will close your account! Run fast! They can not be trusted!

I like it. It’s been helpful. However there are no airline or other rewards attached. I appreciated the no annual percentage rate for one year.
