What's the difference between the Wells Fargo Rewards Credit Card and the Wells Fargo Platinum Credit Card? Both of them were sent to me and I don't know which one to use.

The Wells Fargo Rewards Credit Card is a better choice because it offers rewards and has the potential for a slightly lower regular APR. Neither card charges an annual fee; both have a 3% foreign transaction fee; and both offer 0% financing on new purchases and balance transfers for 15 months.

With that being said, if you actually received two different cards, rather than offers to apply for both, you should probably call Wells Fargo customer service (800-642-4720) to make sure both are not active. You don’t want to dispose of a working credit card, for example. Hope this helps. Best of luck!

Is there a difference between a Wells Fargo Cash Back Signature Card and a Wells Fargo Signature Card?

Just the rewards currency. The cash back version offers cash-based earnings, while the other gives you points that are most valuable when redeemed for airfare. Other than that, they’re pretty much the same. With that being said, we tend to prefer cash back because it’s less susceptible to devaluation: cardhub.com/edu/earn-rewards/#rewards-devaluation . Hope this helps.

I have been a loyal Custer since 2008. Even though I have always paid my bill on time over the years I have noticed they just keep raising my interest rate and it is now over 20%. None of my other cards are this high. I called today to ask for a rate reduction or I would have to transfer my balance and was just told there is nothing they can do. I was told there was no department I could be transferred to that could do this for me. I explained how loyal I have been and that if it wasn't lowered I would be transferring my balance tomorrow. more

Worst Credit card company to deal with! I paid my credit card on time every month for 12 months missed it by one day due to my account numbers being hacked and they wanted me to submit a ton of paperwork and documentation. So much for customer loyalty!

You know I got this card because my bank suggested it, I had a lot of money in accounts with them, and even though I didn't need a card, I figured why not, the credit limit was a bit higher than any of my others, and the interest rate was lower. It seemed convenient to stop spreading debt around between cards. The problem was that when I got it, it had a fairly long 0% promotional period - 6 months, or 12 months. Since I was selling my home and moving at the time, I had a lot of expenses, and I took advantage of the 0 percent interest, just more

i can't see where they allow a zero, which in my opinion would be wayyyyy too high. somehow my account got changed from a credit card to a financial card (???????). i don't know why, but neither do they. After menu transfers and waits, I finally found someone who found my account and allowed me to make a payment. But.....I had to sign up again for on-line access. The signup form would not accept my password (even though I followed ll the rules), nor my security question and answer. Getting rather upset, I asked the rep why I had to sign up again since I've been able to get on more

There's really nothing special about this credit card. Based on my credit score, I believe the interest rate is too high, and it takes a long time for me to earn rewards (despite regularly using the card and paying it off). Wells Fargo is always responsive with customer service, has a good fraud protection plan in place, and makes it easy to pay the card off online through my bank account. Overall, it's a fine card, and I am satisfied enough with it that I'm not likely to get a different card with another company.

In August I made a reservation using rewards for a reservation in November.
After I returned from my trip I received a charge to another credit card for the hotel reservation. I contacted WellsFargo before contacting the hotel to verify there should not have been a charge. After 2 hours 20 minutes (yes, you read that correctly) and being transferred back and forth from Customer Service to Rewards Specialists 13 times ( yes, thirteen) someone finally confirmed : No, your reservation was paid with rewards you should not have been charged.
I then proceeded to call the hotel and they informed me that Tourico (travel intermediary for Wellsfargo) charged my credit more

I redeemed some rewards, but after 3 weeks I still had not received my items. I phoned customer service who told me that they would say have to open my case and get to me in 2 weeks with their results. Too late for Christmas!!! Not satisfactory !!

I had a Citi MasterCard for years but I have switched to Wells Fargo Visa just because Citi put a 75,000 cap on my rewards points. As I use a credit card to pay for everything that I can, I would usually reach that limit around August. Wells Fargo Card has no caps and the more you spend the more you earn as it should be. Interest rates makes no difference for me since I always pay the total due every month. My foreign transaction fees have been refunded because of my overall transaction amount with the bank. That means I have no complaints whatsoever and really enjoy using the more

I like that the Wells Fargo® Rewards® Credit Card offers a point based system for rewards granting more of an opportunity to spend points for things related to individual needs. I believe the late payment fee of $38 is consistent with other top leading credit cards. The only thing I don't like is the regular APR is a bit steep for the maximum value rated at 25.99% compared to an Bank of America credit card APR maxes out at 22.99% value.

I won a $100 Wells Fargo Visa gift card. I bought $30 of gas with it - no problem. The next day I tried to buy gas for my other car - BIG NO - the attendant said it would not go through. I checked the balance on my computer at home and it showed that the entire $100 had been used. I thought I had been cheated or hacked or something, but I kept the card and a few days later tried it again - it worked. Again the new balance showed that I had used the entire $100. I had only used about $55. After a few business more

I've had credit cards in the past that offer rewards and love the points for every dollar spent system that Wells Fargo utilizes, especially the initial 5 points for every $1 spent in the first 6 months. This is a great way to earn gift cards or rack up air miles! I also find the 0% APR for 15 months on transfer incredibly useful. I have used this on similar visa cards and found it's a great way to transfer all your credit debt over to one card so you only have one payment to make per month, rather than multiple payments. The only drawback is the annual APR, which more

I love Wells Fargo and have been a customer of theirs for many years. This Wells Fargo Rewards Credit Card has solid features but nothing that really stands out. The ability to earn bonus points at specific retailers and for the first six months of the card is nice, but I earn better rewards on my Capitol One card, and the rewards are simpler (simply cash back) on my USAA Mastercard. I prefer rewards programs that are simpler: just give me cash back, not redemption points (although these points can be redeemed for cash, obviously.) The real problem with this card, for me, is the 3% foreign transaction fee. That's more

Like any other card, there are always pro's and con's. The pro's of this card is that I have free cell phone insurance. I use Verizon and have a family of four. The card covers all phones and is only a $25 deductible with no monthly charge. I saved $336 and I don't have to worry about Verizon's $100 deductible. There is no annual fee for this card and the customer service is perfect. The downfall is that the 5% cash back rate is only for 6 months then its 1% for every purchase no matter what it is or quarter it is with no cap. I found that the more

I like how Wells Fargo Rewards card offers significantly more reward options than other rewards cards. Also, the amount of points you receive per dollar spent is quite a bit better than others I have used such as Capitol One Rewards program. The two downfalls of this card are the high interest rate and high fees for cash advances, although these pretty much line up with the rest of the credit cards I've used so its mostly the norm. Also, its nice how you have 0% interest rate for 15months.

My husband and I got this card to help build our credit. So far we are very pleased. We received and incentive of 0% interest for the first 12 months which is amazing. Wells Fargo customer service for this card is also out of this world. I had a little mishap with a charge and the representative was very understanding and polite while helping us. The company reports monthly to your credit report and already our scores have jumped a great bit which was the whole purpose of getting the card. I would recommend anyone to give this company a chance.

The Wells Fargo card is a solid credit card. It offers the industry standard of 1 point/$1. And on particular categories, it offers you 5 points/$1. Unfortunately, this bonus only lasts for 6 months as to where other cards offer this for the life of the card. However, those other cards charge big yearly fees as to where this card has none. Also, you get all the benefits of having a Visa which is accepted almost everywhere. Charging foreign transaction fees is also a pain, but again, it's a zero annual fee card so you lose a few of the perks. All in all, a solid choice for those who more

The Wells Fargo Rewards card seems to be right on board with other competitive rewards card programs. The rewards seem straightforward, spend up to five dollars to receive one point, with no limits on points you can ear. There is no activation fee, and the variable finance rate, starting at around 12% but no greater than about 26% is the norm. Linking your rewards card to your checking account is an excellent advantage.

The Wells Fargo Rewards Credit Card seems about equal with other rewards cards that I've possessed, like American Express Blue Sky and Amazon Chase Rewards. All seem to have a base earn rate of around 1%, with opportunities to go higher based on where you spend money and other perks. Redeeming for airfare is a helpful option that I used often with Blue Sky, and it makes me more inclined to get and use this card. The late fee seems a bit high, but I have little sympathy for people who actually pay a late fee or ever need to know what the interest rate is. Responsible users will not more

The Wells Fargo Rewards Credit Card has definitely ended up being worth it. The five times bonus points on everyday purchases really caught my eye, but I was unsure. It turned out that almost all of my purchases fall in to that category, so the reward points rack up quickly compared to other reward cards I have used in the past. I just wish it lasted longer than just the first six months.
Be careful if you tend to carry a balance though. The interest rate is not super high, but it is definitely higher than what I have on my other cards. If you tend to pay off your balance more

I love the Wells Fargo Rewards card. The 0 interest rate for 15 months is awesome. You can get your balance paid quicker without the interest piling up and also transfer your other credit cards to this card and get them paid off quickly with 0% for 15 months. I love the feature of getting 5 points on all gas, groceries and drug store purchases as well. The no over the limit fee so you can have fun buying and not worry about your limit is great! The 1 points for every $1 spent is also a nice feature. I have this on a City Card and those rewards add more

The Wells Fargo Rewards Credit Card is my favorite, and I use it EXCLUSIVELY for groceries and gas. Sometimes for other things but only if I don't have cash on me. You get 5x the rewards on groceries and gas (and drugstores, but I don't purchase at those often). I pay it off every month, so its definitely worth it to me. If I used it for all my purchases I wouldn't be able to pay it off every month, so that's why it's strictly for groceries and gas. I lost it once and Customer Service was super nice about replacing it. I used to use Bank of America and more

The interest rate is a bit high. I have this card and a Discover card. I tend to use the Discover card more because of the low interest rate I was given. But I do use this card once a month because of the reward points. They are pretty nice when I need to make a huge grocery shop. I also use it when I go close shopping, need more school supplies, and books. Not all places accept my Discover card so I use this card as a back up. Customer service is pretty nice. I have had to call them a few times when my card was not working. more

I like how this card offers rewards that can be used anywhere. It's cool how they give you bonus points when you buy groceries or gas because a lot of your money will go towards those necessities. The card also has good benefits and no annual fee, but the interest rate seems a bit bad.

This is a good card and Wells Fargo customer service is always a bonus. The point system of rewards is a little difficult to understand at first, but works out to be favorable. Their interest rates and fees are about equal to the card that I normally use, but it's not a great idea to use this card for cash advances because that's where the rates go up substantially. A card like this is handy for people like me who travel on a regular basis because there are definite rewards for booking airfare and rental cars.

The rewards program on the Wells Fargo Rewards card leaves much to be desired - they offer an ambiguous points based system, which I find difficult to translate into tangible value. I much prefer a simple cash back rewards program. In my case, with the Capitol One Quicksilver, I get 1.5% cash back on all purchases, including my rent and utilities. This discount adds up quickly each month, and I know exactly what I'm getting. The one advantage this card has is that there is no annual fee.

This is an excellent credit card for everyday usage. I like to use this card instead of my debit for all of the extra protection it offers from fraud, as well as the bonus points to use towards cash back or other incentives. My other card is an AMEX Blue and this Wells Fargo Rewards cards beats it easily! The card provides 0% apr for the first year, which is another added bonus. The best part about the card is it provides 5 points for every $1 you spend on gas, grocery, and drugstore shopping trips for the first 6 months. I give the card 5 stars for an everyday more

This is my go to card when I fill up my car, because there rewards points for it is generously high ( 5 points per $ spent), not bad, especially since I gas almost every week. Their interest rates and fees are up to par with most of the other credit cards around. What I won't do with this card is make cash advances on it, since the rates are high. What I especially love about this card is, its the only one I have that has a built in gold chip on it, which gives me the extra security I need, and want in a credit card. I'm planning more

This is a very good credit card, though not the one I use for daily purchases, because the rate is variable and I prefer the fixed rate (and 3x rewards, since I frequently shop Amazon) that I get with my Amazon Rewards card. I keep this as an occasional use card, and as overdraft protection for my Wells Fargo checking account (and it helps me get free checking which is something to look into if you also have other Wells Fargo products, which is a tidy reward in it's own right). The rewards are OK and they do sometimes have promos for extra rewards. The major selling point that keeps more

This is a good card. I have always had success with Wells Fargo customer service. I have a different Wells Fargo credit card linked to my account in order to avoid overdraft fees. It works out quite nicely when things like that happen. The rewards are similar to my Capital One venture card. The interest rate is pretty standard. Also the introductory rate is great. You can even transfer balances for 12 months for 0%, obviously at times this would come in very handy. I would definitely recommend this card to friends and family and would even consider it for personal use.

We've had this card for 14+ years, I just found a car rental for about half of what the big travel sites were running, I didn't have enough points to get it free and clear, but was able to use my points and cover the rest with $. So it really worked well. I ordered plane tickets for my parents awhile back and the Wells Fargo Rewards website had tickets on Southwest Airlines lower than Southwest.com. Every time we have looked to go to a different card, the Wells Fargo Signature still wins out. We pay the balance every month so I haven't had any dealings with the interest rate. more

Compared to my Capital One platinum card, this seems to be a great card with lot's of benefits. The interest rate can be a bit high but I think the rewards make up for that. I like the fact that you can link the card to a checking account to avoid overdraft fees. Roadside dispatch and emergency assistance services can come in real handy! This card is way better than the one I have now!

The Wells Fargo Rewards Credit Card has various options that make it highly consumer favored. The Intro Rates provided for the card aren’t matched by many card of its caliber, as it covers both purchases AND transfers. The cash advance fee is smaller than the card that I use, which makes it useful to get cash in a pinch, without being put back too much. The cash back program goes up to 5% for gas and grocery shopping, a 2% increase from their college credit card. However, the regular rate appears to have the possibility of reaching high numbers, up to 25.99%, which is very high.

The rewards and incentives for this card seem like a very good deal. I typically do not leave a balance on my card so the interest rate is not an issue for me. If you take advantage of all of the rewards, you can really save a lot of money.

I like that this card offers 5 points for every dollar spent on gas. That's extremely high and considering that I spend $50+ per tank fill, this can really add up to some serious rewards. I use the Chase Signature credit card and American Express Premium rewards as my primary cards and while they don't quite stack up on the gas front, my American Express card offers fantastic rewards overall which I think outshine this card. The Chase card however doesn't stack up with the offerings of the Wells Fargo card.

Although the interest on the card is a bit high for me, I can say my experience with this card has been fine. I get around $25/3 months in rewards for groceries and gas, which is great because I just put it back into the credit card. They do offer more points per dollar for certain items, but those items have to be bought through their online rewards store (things like flowers for delivery for mom). I'm giving the card 4 stars because I've had it for 6 years now, have received a credit limit boost each review period, have never made a late payment on it, and still am more

The Wells Fargo Rewards credit card seems like a cool credit card to have. You get reward points (with each point being $1) for buying everyday items and you can use those points to make other purchases like travel. I think the interest rate is pretty decent as well.

I am loving this card! Having a long relationship with Wells Fargo as my bank, it's a company I can trust. This card has been great for gaining rewards for trips I have planned. The amount of gas and groceries I buy per year adds up to free trips with this card. Having no yearly fee and 0% interest for the entire first year has been a god send. I would definitely recommend this card, awesome company, great rewards and low interest rates.
