You generally need good credit (i.e., a score above 660) to be eligible for approval, but issuers take far more than just an applicant’s credit score into account when making approval decisions. They consider your overall financial picture, including your income and existing debt obligations, so your credit rating can only be used as a guideline. If you want to get the Amazon.com Rewards VISA you will need to go to: https://www.amazon.com/gp/cobrandcard/ and click Apply Now. Unfortunately there is no other way to upgrade, because the store card is issued by Synchrony Bank and the Rewards VISA is issued by Chase, so each issuer has their own criteria they use more

Is this an actual credit card? Will this card help build my credit? Is it worth getting?

Yes, it is an actual credit card and it will help you improve your credit if used responsibly. It’s a fine option if a significant portion of your monthly spending is with Amazon or if you’re using it to supplement an existing everyday card.

Can I use my Amazon credit card to purchase VISA gift cards at my local businesses?

Yes, you can use your credit card for those types of purchases and allow us to say that it's a good plan as long as you make sure to pay off all the purchases at the end of the month. If you let them linger on your card, then the interest you'll pay will wipe out anything you would have gained from rewards on your card. Hope this helps. Best of luck!

The Amazon Credit Card is an awesome deal for fans of online shopping.

For starters, Amazon.com points are as good as cash, considering you can buy pretty much anything and everything through the site – usually at the best possible prices. That means the three points you’ll earn for every dollar spent on Amazon.com are basically the same thing as 3% cash back. The same is true of the two points you’ll receive for each dollar spent at gas stations, restaurants, drug stores and office supply stores as well as the 1% you get everywhere else.

The fact that this card does not charge an annual fee also makes adding it more

Don't use this card. Amazon/Chase are only interested in taking care of merchants, not customers.
I charge 1/2 of a large transaction to my amazon/chase credit card and 1/2 to my USAA credit card. After the merchant didn't deliver on the services I asked for, I disputed the charges with both credit card companies.
Chase/Amazon didn't refund my money, even after 3-4 attempts to provide them with my point of view and documents that proved the merchant was in the wrong.
USAA refunded my money, no questions asked.
Conclusion...don' use Chase credit cards or banking. USAA is the best bank, credit card and insurance company I have ever worked with.
Needless to say I cancelled more

I love this credit card because it allows me to earn cash back rewards on all of my amazon purchases. I originally got this card because I shop on amazon so much and wanted a card that I could be rewarded for doing so. I also got the card because it gave an introductory offer with a certain amount off my first order. If I could improve anything, I would improve the customer service because when I have called to correct things I am put on hold quite often and have to wait a while for a representative. I would recommend this card to others because it is a good more

I got this card initially for the 80$ Amazon gift card that you received for signing up. I sat down and did the math on how much I spent on Amazon last year, and decided that with the rewards offered by this card it was worth putting all my amazon purchases on the Chase card and paying it off at the end of the month. In the past I never bought anything from amazon that I didn't have the money for on the spot, so I haven't built up a balance which has been nice not to worry about.

I got the Amazon rewards credit card because I shop on Amazon.com a lot. I have never had a problem where I needed to contact the customer service in the two years I've had my card. The $50 gift card when signing up was nice and went through instantly without any problems. I would recommend this card to other people if you shop on Amazon often since the rewards points add up quickly.

I was drawn to this credit card when I was making a relatively large purchase on Amazon. The popup indicated I can receive $80 immediately off my purchase so I jumped on the deal. After looking into it a bit more in detail, I noticed that I receive a consistent 2% cashback on restaurants, gas stations and grocery stores. This was at least 100% better than my other card which was a flat 1%. I would love the occasional extra % cash back on valid retailers or perhaps more bonus cash back for spending a certain amount in a pay period. I would overall recommend this card to people who more

I got this card because it offers a good cash back deal. You also have the option of getting points to purchase things on the the Amazon site. You get 3x the points for purchases made at Amazon, which is a really good deal for people who shop there a lot. It adds up to a big savings over time because you get free stuff on Amazon. There isn't much to improve except the APR is kind high, 15-22%. It doesn't effect me because I pay my balance every month. But if you carry a balance over time, the APR will wipe out the savings from the cash/points back. This more

I got the card because I wanted a credit card that gave me cash back. Amazon through in a bonus gift card and I often shop online at Amazon, so I figured they would be a good choice. The only thing I would improve is the online payment system. It can be a little annoying sometimes trying to pay until you get used to the site layout, but overall it's not bad. I would certainly recommend this card to others, especially if you use Amazon often. The cash back is higher if an item that is purchased is shipped from Amazon, so you're getting paid to shop! As a frequent shopper of Amazon, I was intrigued by the Amazon credit card. The 3% back on Amazon purchases really caught my eye and I decided to go for it. It's been a great way to earn more back, rather than just getting 1% with my other rewards card. It also has 2% back on restaurants and 1% back on gas, but I don't really use it for that, as I get a higher percentage from another card. I don't really have any complaints. If I could improve anything, I would bump the 3% to 5% back to compete with the 5% I save with my Target debit card. more

I got my card because I am a regular shopper at Amazon.com and wanted a card that would give me rewards for using it. Amazon.com's Chase Visa credit card fits the bill. It gives me 3 points for every $1 I spend on Amazon.com, 2 points on every $1 I spend in drugstores and restaurants, and 1 point for every $1 on any other purchase I make. 100 points equals $1.00, and I can use the points on future Amazon.com purchases or redeem for a cash reward, which is really nice. The only thing I wished it also does is give me 2 points for every $1 I spend at more

The Amazon.com Chase Credit Card is an amazing card for people who like to do shopping online. I use Amazon.com for a large chunk of my personal needs and fun shopping and by using their partnered card with Chase, I earn points that can be used as money on Amazon when I shop. I've never had any issues and the customer service is great!

I use this card all the time. It is in fact my #2 card when going out to buy things like gas and groceries, but for online shopping it is my go-to card. I use Amazon.com every month so having this card is common sense. I've never had any issues so I can't commend on the customer service aspect. The rewards are great - especially for an Amazon shopper! I would & have recommended this card to others.

Amazon credit card is my go to card when I buy stuff from amazon. The 3% cash back on purchases at amazon.com is a good deal. I've been using this card for an year now and I am quite satisfied with this. It requires a good credit score which might be a problem for some but other than that its great. I signed up for this when I was shopping on amazon.
I've some issues a couple of times with transactions not going through. I contacted the customer services and they resolved my issues in no time. The customer service is prompt and courteous. They make sure that the problem more

This is regards to my latest order with Amazon-

I have a complaint about how you are trying to trap the buyers-

I had placed this order and on checkout I was shown this message-

"YOUR COST WOULD BE 52$ INSTEAD OF 82$. If you apply for Amazon Rewards Visa Card Now and you'll get an Instant 30$ off."

Now if you understand it in english that means your current order will be 30$ off when you apply for the card. And I fell into the trap, I did apply, it opened up a a pop-up it discounted me 30$ dollar but When I came back to my main screen, more

I have had this card for 3 years and find it pretty reliable. I like that it gives me points every time I buy through Amazon, and I have been able to cash those points in towards hotel rooms and other Amazon purchases. I'm not so crazy about the APR (21.99%!), but that is why I only use this card for Amazon purchases.

I love my Amazon Visa Credit card!! I earn points for every single dollar I spend! I do sooo much of my shopping on Amazon and get triple points there. I received a $30 Amazon gift card just for trying out the card!! I can use my 21 grace period to pay off my entire balance each month and so I avoid interest charges. The Amazon Visa card also comes with no annual fee. I love this card, I use it whenever I can and have already earned a trip with my points!! Love it!!

There are actually TWO cards for the individual: One is paper (rather flimsy paper) and is a Revolving Credit system. The other is a Visa card, plastic, and can be used for other-than-Amazon purchases.
I recommend the Revolving Credit since the interest is around 25% and you can do better-interest wise-elsewhere. Both cards build your credit. Both cards are good for anything Amazon offers up to your credit limit. For someone seeking to raise their credit score, I recommend the Revolving Credit card and a few purchases paid off in two or three months time. That will boost your credit without tempting you into Cash Advances or Groceries, which the more

I like the card because of the rewards via Amazon BUT I hate that the credit card statement is not itemized with what I purchased on Amazon or some minimal reminder word. Since they have the info on Amazon, why not put it in the Statement?

I avoid most of the big box stores and I live in a major metropolitan area so I can even take advantage of things like same day shipping. The rewards program earns me points on items I already buy plus I even earn points on purchases not made on Amazon. If you're using subscribe and save and prime and any of the other Amazon services you should be using this card and getting cash back.

I tried to cancel this card the first day I applied for it. That was four months ago. Chase finally closed the account. But I warn you right now it does NOT go away. After five emails and three phone calls to Amazon, the DEFUNCT card is still on my account. I cannot order anything digitally ("one-click settings") and make sure my real credit card is the one used for payment. I tried to order an e-book tonight, and the total amount was automatically deducted from the gift card which no longer exists. I am closing my account with Amazon and no doubt, will lose money from my Prime subscription. more

I really like the idea of this credit card. The fact that you get 30 dollars instantly just for signing up is really nice. The points system is also really cool. The interest rate seems very reasonable also. Overall I think this would be a really good card to get.

The Amazon card is one of the better cards you can get these days. You get an immediate $30 just for having the card approved and with decent credit you can get a very reasonable interest rate on future purchases. Another bonus to the card is the lack of an annual fee. Overall I would definitely recommend this card as it is one of the better cards I have seen, however I still prefer my Wells Fargo Cash Back card just because I get 1 or 5 % cash back on many different purchases.

I absolutely love my Amazon Rewards card. Their interest rate is low and there is no annual fee. The points really do add up quickly which is great for any card but even better when there is also no annual fee. The points show up automatically on your amazon account and you can use them with one click to purchase almost anything in the Amazon store. It's so convenient! You can also purchase gift cards with the points once you have at least $25 accrued in your account. The only drawback is that you are unable to purchase Kindle books with the points. Overall, this is the best credit card more

The rewards of this card are very attractive. I don't know of another credit card that will give you money as soon as you are approved without any other stipulations. A free $30 right off the bat and cash back for any other purchase. If you use Amazon a lot, this card will rack up points quickly. The reward point rate is a minimum of 1% cash back, which is in line with other top credit card rewards. The APR is also lower than many other cards that I have used.

I love the fact that there is no annual fee, those days are hopefully over. The APR is pretty good and the cash back amount is amazing. I love the various categories and how they do not change. The fact that I can use my cash back rewards and put it back in to the balance is great because they do not limit how much I can use. It could be $1 or $100 they don't care. Free money is great. They are quick to up your limit if you need/want and their customer service is fantastic.

This is a great card to have to receive points for purchases. Unlike the Amazon Store Card, You get a $30 credit to use right away vs. a $10 credit. The APR is potentially lower than with the Amazon Store Card depending on your credit. The point system is great to have. You earn 3 points per dollar spent on Amazon, 2 points per dollar on gas, restaurants, and drug stores, and 1 point per dollar spent on everything else. You can't go wrong with this great card!

This is a great card. I do a lot of shopping on Amazon, so the rewards were especially appealing to me. When I signed up, I got a $65 bonus Amazon gift card to spend immediately. The reward system is hassle-free, unlike many other cards. Each month, your points are converted into a dollar reward which can then be used immediately toward Amazon purchases, or you can wait until you have $20 accrued and apply it as a payment toward your credit card balance. Very convenient. And the rewards are nice. 3% on Amazon purchases, 2% on gas, dining, drug stores, 1% on everything else.

Very good card if you shop at Amazon a lot. The $50 Gift Card they give you is very nice and I'm already racking up the reward points. If you shop at amazon often you have no reason not to have this card unless you're forgetful and don't pay your bills on time.

I really enjoy using this card. With the lower interest rate and fast approval, I was able to get the textbooks that I needed. Also, the rewards that come with it are great. They are instantly loaded to your account and are able to be used right away. The only downfall is that the rewards are readily available on Amazon instead of just cash, so it would be nice to have a cash rewards option.

Shipping with added incentives seems to be one of th most popular ways to keep a business alive! The application incentivethrough Amazon is quite attractive. As attractive as the added points per dollar and having a seperate card for online transactions gives me more added security while spending onilne. Amazon shipping and services have been amazing through this last holiday season and am excited to spend more next year through Amazon.com's amazing nework!

I have been very happy with this card. I like how easy it is to spend the rewards right on Amazon. I do have another card I prefer over this one, just because it is more flexible in what you can use the rewards for. I have had a credit on my account for over a year, and I would like it if they just sent the money instead of keeping it there. Overall though, I have been quite happy with the card and the service.

This card is alright. I think it's mostly good for those people who shop at Amazon frequently, since you earn 3 points for every dollar spent instead of 1. Even at that rate though, I don't think it's that special. You still need to spend quite a bit of money to get enough points to get a reward. I actually just get cashback/a statement credit

If you don't shop at Amazon a lot though, this card probably isn't really better than other, similar cards on which you can earn reward points through purchases. You earn 2 points for gas and dining. For everything else, you earn 1 point. If you only more

I LOVE my Chase Amazon credit card. I originally got this credit card because a friend highly recommended it, and five years later I’m still recommending it to anyone looking for a new credit card. For my shopping habits, the rewards program is excellent, and I appreciate that it is easy to use ie. no rotating reward categories. I feel like annual fees are a bank’s way of squeezing more money out of consumers, so that’s one more reason why I like this card – no fees! This card got me thru college! After paying my tuition each semester, I had enough Amazon rewards to buy all my used textbooks for free. You receive the rewards quickly, and they really add up. The interest rate is so-so, but I pay it off early so it doesn't matter.
