What's Your Rating?
From a quick look at the Continental Airlines website, it looks like you can start getting free flights at 10,000 miles, but this lower end option is obviously a one-way economy fare for a domestic flight. You can also redeem your Continental Airlines OnePass Plus Credit Card miles for rental cars and hotels or donate your miles to charity. That’s pretty standard for rewards credit cards though. The other things you get with the Continental Airlines Credit Card are one free checked bag and priority boarding on Continental and United Airlines flights and two complimentary passes to the United Club each year. While you can redeem miles for flights on any Star Alliance airline, it really only pays to apply for the Continental Airlines OnePass Plus Credit Card if you fly at least tens of thousands of miles with Continental or United each year because such flights are the only way you’re going to get the 2 miles/ 1 dollar spent and flying frequently is the only way you’ll be able to benefit enough. If you fly a lot but not always with Continental or United, I’d recommend getting the Capital One Venture Card because it’s basically a 2% cash back card if you redeem miles for travel related charges.
