The First Premier Card was helpful in the sense that my credit was bad and they made it possible to be approved. I don't think anyone should apply for this card unless they absolutely need to. If there is a slight possibility that you cannot make the whole payment or pay your balance in full to build your credit, then you should think carefully. It's easy to use up your limit and should you become late or non paying, you will regret this decision. Their interest rates are astronomical and through the roof. I find it repulsive that companies like First Premier take advantage of people like myself with poor more

I like the First Premier Bank Card and the Website. Do not get this card if you have good credit, this is a second chance bad credit, credit card only, there are a lot of fees associated with this card. On the good side, they report monthly to the three major credit companies, so make sure that you pay your bill on time and do not generate any new balances. It's a card designed to get you back in good credit standing. There is no grace period and the late fee is high, one suggestion is to pay your minimum payment a day before it is due, there is a more

This card is horrible. I would not recommend signing up with them use credit one or Matrix. I was late on one payment they closed out my account. I have 3 other credit cards which I have not had an issue ever being late and my credit is in good standing based on my 3 credit reports. Premier then told me over the phone that if I resubmitted my checking account information by fax that my account would be reinstated. This was a lie and pointless. 5 days later I received a letter stating the account would remain closed. The also denied me access to the online website to conveniantly more

This card is decent for those who are looking to build credit. It has some fees and a pretty high interest rate but surprisingly they have never charged me any interest. I would recommend this card to anyone who needs to build credit. Anyone can get this card and everyone needs credit at some point. Get the card.

The First Premier Gold card was one of the first credit cards I ever got an offer for in the mail. I was my first credit card I ever got before I knew any better. The combination of an opening fee, yearly fee and high interest make this one of the worse cards I've ever had. The interest rate of 36 percent is as high as any card I've ever had but then they charge you extra fees. The opening charge of 95 dollars is just a pointless and costly fee. Then they tack on a yearly fee of 75 dollars which is the same as my new American Express more

Because the payments are linked to my bank account, the payment process is easy. I wish the fees were so high because yes you are extended credit, but you only have $150 to play with until you pay off the fees and balance or you pay the balance off and eventually have a credit increase. The APR is typical for those with bad credit. It's a good card to get to rebuild credit or if you are just starting out with a credit card. I wanted to fix my credit and rebuild my credit so that is why I chose this card. The application process is simple and easy. The more

I recieved this card a few years ago when I was trying to rebuild my credit. I was told that if I could get a credit card it was a good idea to help build my credit. I was not sure about it at first due to the hight interest rates and fees. But I decided to go ahead and get it because I really needed to build up my credit. I received a $350 credit limit with the card but after the fees I had $150 available. I never had a problem with the card. Customer service was always decent when I needed to talk to a real person. more

This is a really good starter card that will help to increase your credit. Not to mention, sometimes just having a credit card can come in handy and not everyone can get one. This is where First Premier comes in handy. As long as you are diligent and are sure to pay the card each month and not miss a payment, you'll reap many a reward from having this as a starter card. When I had no credit at all this was the only card that would give me a chance and from there I have been able to grow my credit and get other cards.

This is the perfect card to rebuild your credit. No hidden fees and is very reasonable in APR.

I have a reallly low income and very bed credit and wouldn't even want a credit card for most things but I don't often have enough in my account for things like renting a car where they need to have a deposit or somethng. First premier gold was the only card I could get and had a manageable 300 limit. The biggest problems are that mastercard isn't accepted everywhere and you can only pay with your checking account online andit takes over a week to process from your bank account and longer to be credited to your account, also I can never be sure how much of an available balance more

I recieved an invitation for this card two years ago. After excepting the card, I was given a $350 credit limit. I have been very happy with the card and company. After one year I was able to get the credit limit increased of $500. At this point, my credit limit is $650. I had to file a dispute with the credit card company at one point and they were very helpful. An online vendor had charged my credit card three times for the same purchase. After haggling with the vendor with no resolve, I contacted First Premier customer service. They disputed the charges for me and were able to more

My initial credit limit for the card was $300 but by the time all the fees were accessed I only had $80 available to use. It's not the best credit card but given my credit score it was the only non-secured credit card I qualified for. I was actually shocked when I was approved. I had applied with several credit card companies for people with bad credit and they all wanted deposits before issuing a card. My First Premier credit card has come in handy. It allows me to rent cars without having to put down a big deposit. I have had it for about a year now and I more

Lots of fees can really hurt over time. Once you've built up a little credit using the card, you might consider looking for something with lower fees and interest rates.

I just got this card it'll be in the mail in 7 days. I basically just want to rent a car and have fair credit, but they told me my limit was 300 a month but the first time is $225. Will I be able to rent the car because I see you posted that after the fees you were only allowed $80 a month. please respond back to me thank you very much. I already paid the $95 processing fee so when I get the card in the mail am i allowed my 225$ that they promised am i allowed my minimum balance?? Because I'm renting a car for a week.
