This is a terrible rewards program. You cannot book Southwest online so they charge you 39 to book through the travel center. Half the time my seat selections do not take and I have to go back to the airline to get seats. This morning the price changed during the booking. It went up 100. When I went back to the airline website there had been no change in price.

Definitely has to be one of the worst reward credit cards on the market. Customer service is awful, points expire. I used some points to purchase Budget Car Rental certificates, and one place wouldn't take them and then I tried to use them again, and even though it clearly says to book online, they aren't valid for booking online, and then it costs more to rent at the desk. In my case, 35% more. So my $100 gift certificate was worth $65. USBank wouldn't back it up in any way. I gave them several opportunities to do something to make it right, and they never did. There are so many options, stay away from this one.

I had the FlexPerks Visa since it switched from being the credit card for Northwest Airlines back about a dozen years ago. I wish that I had replaced it years ago. Their customer service ranges from acceptable to miserable. I have had many challenges with traveling, even out of state. It's a joint account and I've had them lock down my card when my husband is in another part of the state. And trying to deal with their points is a real hassle, particularly when you compare it to American Express and the Chase Sapphire Visa card. Those cards make the experience seamless. Not Flexperks. They are just too much hassle. Other cards have much better customer service and amenities.

When this card started, I couldn't tell enough people about it. 1.5 points per $1.00 spent, bonuses for groceries, gas, air travel, UP to a $400 ticket for a meer 20,000 points and a $600 ticket for only 30,000 points. That's up to $.02 reward per point. Fabulous benefit and easy as could be. Then they dropped it to 1 point reward per $1 spent. OK, still a good deal. Book through Travelocity, you could book First class, comfort, economy or whatever your points would get you. Then somewhere in the fine print (who reads the messages on your bill, or even gets a bill anymore with Online work) US Bank got greedy. They decided to change from the reputable Travelocity to some third world travel handler, QT Travel. I tried to book a flight and found that my points were now worth up to $.01 per point, effectively cutting in half the reward I could get, and I could only book a super "cattle car" economy ticket with no seat assignment. I am taking my credit card business elsewhere, as US Bank no longer appreciates my business. Don't waste your hard earned credit transactions on a third world card!

My husband and I have had this card for almost two years and I absolutely love it. We filter everything that we can pay with a credit through this card and we usually get about $50.00 a month in rewards. It’s a real nice treat to look at your statement and see a credit. I would suggest this credit card to anyone looking for a reward card.

You need to be aware of how U.S. Bank operates in relation to this card. I applied for this card, but was sent a letter asking for more information. When I called, I was questioned by a gentleman who sounded like he came straight out of the FBI. A week later I called about my application and discovered that I had been "approved."
What was not clear, however, until later was that I had not been approved for the card I had applied for - the US Bank Flexperks Visa Signature card - but instead I got a new Flexperks "Select Rewards" card. This card is completely useless and a waste of plastic. You get only 1 point for every $2 of spend.
To me, this is more like a bait and switch tactic. And, yes, I now am aware that in the little bitty writing on their online application, it says that US Bank may approve you for this card. Still - bait and switch, I say.

The rewards program with gas points is extremely helpful! I absolutely love it! I don't travel very often. In fact, I only fill up on gas maybe once every two weeks. The points add up. Even if it takes a couple months or a year to get there, it is still better than nothing. I love this card and everything it has to offer!
My husband and I love to travel and drive all over the place. This card has been helpful in that matter being that we have family that live all over the place. We travel to Chicago, Florida, North Carolina, different areas in Ohio. We are drive-aholics. This card really fits our needs when it comes to traveling all over the country. If anyone has any questions on the card, feel free to respond to my post.

The bonus in points you get for signing up for the US Bank Flex Points card is awesome. Unfortunately, if you want to redeem the points for statement credit, the amount you get is ½ of what you would have gotten in travel rewards. Even with the ding, $200 extra bucks is very nice - $400 in travel would be better if I had the time to do it. Plus, they give you 4 months to spend the allotted amount, not 3 like other companies.

This is a great card. You earn points on all of your everyday purchases. With all these points I have been earning we plan to buy a brand new big screen television. How great is that to be able to buy a television for just paying all your bills.

This is definitely one of *the* cards to get if you are thinking about switching to a rewards based card. Already being a US Bank customer, I had seen advertisements promoting applying for this card pop up from time to time, but never gave it much attention until I started realizing I was giving up possible rewards by not using it. It is so easy to collect FlexPoints with this card. Just by replacing my regular card I had used to buy fuel with this one, it took no time at all to get a nice amount of points banked up. I also have integrated it better into my normal shopping by just reaching for this card instead of my debit card as I normally would. The fees and rates themselves are not much different from what I'm used to seeing from other cards I have, but none of them reward you with a nice vacation the way this one will. If you get this card and use it regularly, you will not be disappointed.
