The Market Comparison is a key component of the WalletHub Rating, as it measures how appealing the terms of a card are compared to a pool of over 1,500 credit card offers monitored by WalletHub. To ensure cards are evaluated for their most relevant purpose, we score each card across various cardholder needs and select the rating for the need with the highest score, which is “Rebuild Damaged Credit (Store Cards)” for this card.
The Venue Rewards card is a pretty good credit card for people with bad credit scores who plan to make purchases from Venue.com, an online retailer that sells a wide range of products at supposedly discount prices. The Venue Rewards credit card has $0 fees and an average APR, and it reports to the major credit bureaus. That means it can help cardholders build credit.
Although the Venue Rewards card does not have a minimum credit score, applicants must be at least 18 years old and have at least $1,000 in monthly income to qualify. It’s also important to note that the Venue Rewards credit card doesn’t actually offer any rewards. That will be a deal-breaker for many potential applicants.
Below, you can find a quick summary of the key things to consider before applying for the Venue Rewards credit card.
Venue Credit Card Review Highlights
$0 Fees
The Venue credit card’s annual fee is $0. That makes it roughly $22.29 per year cheaper than the average credit card offer. The Venue card also has no monthly or one-time fees, which are common among unsecured credit cards for people with bad credit.
No Rewards
Despite its name, the Venue Rewards credit card does not offer points, miles or cash back when you make purchases. Instead, it mainly rewards cardholders with the convenience of having an unsecured credit card.
Only Works for Venue.com Purchases
The Venue Rewards card is a store credit card that only works on Venue.com. You can buy a lot on the site, but you’ll end up paying about 20% more on average than you would on Amazon.com for some items, according to WalletHub’s analysis.
Fairly Average APR
The Venue credit card’s interest rate is 19.99%. For comparison, the average APR among new credit card offers right now is 22.89%.
No Minimum Credit Score, But Other Requirements
The Venue Rewards card accepts applicants with limited or no credit history as well as people with bad credit scores. Approval is not guaranteed, however. You still need to be at least 18 years old and earn a monthly income of $1,000 or more.
Can Help You Build Credit
If you pay the card’s bill on time every month and avoid maxing out your credit limit, the Venue Rewards card can help you improve your credit score. You can track your progress for free on WalletHub.
If this doesn’t sound like the right credit card for your needs, there are plenty of other store credit cards and credit cards to build credit with to choose from.

You can use your Venue Rewards Credit Card instantly after approval through your Klarna account.
But to first get approved when shopping on Venue.com, you need to select Klarna as a payment option at checkout. After selecting your preferred payment plan, you'll need to complete a simple credit application, which will either be approved or denied. If you're approved and the order is shipped, you can then manage purchases and payment plans from Klarna's platform.
Yes, the Venue Rewards card will report your financial activity to all major credit bureaus (TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax). By doing so, it can help you build credit as long as you use your card responsibly and always pay your bills before their due date.
The Venue Rewards Credit Card is neither a Visa nor a Mastercard. It's a store credit card that can only be used for online purchases on Venue's Marketplace.
The Venue Rewards Credit Card's starting credit limit is $300. But your initial limit can be more, depending on your creditworthiness.
And although you cannot request a higher credit limit, you might be offered one in time. That's because the issuer will occasionally review your account to check if you're eligible.
You cannot do a balance transfer with the Venue Rewards Credit Card, because balance transfers to this card are not allowed. Unfortunately, no major issuer has a worthwhile balance transfer offer for people with bad credit.
As an alternative, consider applying for the OpenSky Credit Card. It will help you build credit, and in time you'll be able to qualify for a good balance transfer credit card.
Unfortunately, you cannot get pre-approved for the Venue Rewards credit card because it is no longer available for new applicants. Generally speaking, you can get pre-approved for store cards by receiving an offer by mail or while shopping with a retailer online.
If you're looking for a store card that you can get pre-approved for right now, check out the Kohl's Credit Card, instead. This card offers 7.5% in rewards on every qualifying purchase made at Kohl's, and you...
Yes, the Venue Rewards™ Card does have a late fee of up to $35, which applies when cardholders don't make the minimum payment by the due date. The late fee for the Venue Rewards Card can never exceed the minimum payment amount, though, thanks to the CARD Act of 2009.
If you accidentally make less than the required minimum payment or you miss your Venue Rewards Card due date entirely, you can always ask customer service to waive the late...

With these types of cards or businesses I always get approved and actually use a couple different ones so when I decided to give this one a try, I gave them all of my sensitive information(honestly the information they asked for usually that doesn't get asked for unless you're getting approved most times they're not going to ask you for the amount of personal information venue requested) usually pre-approval you give them your last four and a few other things but venu asked for everything sort of what color underwear I had on might as well tell them None , I'm free balling but foolish of me I gave them my social, bank account #s ,address normally and again based on other apps I filled out for these other companies I use and was approved for this amount of personal information has always ended with an approval so I was pretty sure I'll get approved.. and when it came to some application questions they either had wrong information ,somebody else's info maybe the questions weren't clear, idk where their info came from but one for sure makes no sense because when I put in my phone number in the beginning (They now have my current number) it tried to say a number I had previously was my number and then they denied me because their info is wrong to me that seems like they don't have it together and I'm nervous about them having all the information I just gave them I sent them two emails and have not and responded to yet .it would've been a big deal if I got denied (I mean you really shouldn't get denied for something like this unless you're just a total screw up, but whatever) but for them to deny you because they say you answered questions about your personal life that I'm pretty sure you know pretty well and you would know the answers to better than anybody but they say you answered that wrong ,I mean what? Huh? You're telling me I don't know what kind of vehicles I've owned I don't know my phone number you're telling me that I took mortgage out I've never owned a house or even apply for mortgage but you said so where the heck do you guys get your information? I mean don't approve me I don't care but don't ask people for all that sensitive information shouldn't even be asking for all that on a pre-approval for one but to have the audacity to say you were wrong your security features suck I feel like I got to go and change everything after giving you guys all my info maybe if you guys email me back I'll feel better about it and I'll take this review down

You can do better than this. Overpriced items, online only, and horrific interest rates. Recommend going to a credit counselor instead, quite frankly; that's what has helped me the most when it comes down to it.

This card does not exist anymore. The site only uses klarna, split it and some other rent to own financing. This needs to be updated since this card does not exist anymore. They must had discontinued this credit card.

This is not a credit card. It is just a card for buying overpriced merchandise from their website. All this does is hurt the consumer by purchasing items that are much cheaper elsewhere. Companies just prey on the people that are trying to better themselves.
