The First Premier Bank Forward Credit Card seems pretty decent if you have bad credit, and let's face it, some of us need a card to help your credit and a lender that will take a risk on you. But who knows, maybe you can get another card with less fees! The annual fees and monthly fees (the processing fee notwithstanding) all seem a little much when you may be able to get another card that will accept you. Maybe a First Progress Platinum card if you can afford their steep deposit. Good grace period, bad APR, but you really shouldn't be concerned with those if you already have bad credit and need this to build good credit. Overall, this card seems average for the class it's in. Seeing this card as a potential option makes me glad I haven't tarnished my credit.

If you've got bad credit, this First Premier Bank Forward Credit Card could really be just what you need. The fee for the card is hefty, with $75 per year being charged. Not only that, they do ask for another initial fee of $95 for processing. That's 170 dollars just to open this card up. Reporting to credit agencies is nice, and so is the fact that they'll increase your credit line over time, but there's just better options. The Capital One Secured Credit Card lets you make a small deposit, and only charges $29 a year for the annual fee. And it builds credit by reporting to several bureaus, just like the First Premier Bank Forward Credit Card. There's really better choices out there, so I wouldn't recommend this one.

I like that the First Premier Bank Forward Credit Card helps you improve your credit by reporting to credit agencies monthly and helps you to control spending, but I think the fees are way too high. You have to pay a $95 processing fee off the bat, then they have an annual fee of $75, plus monthly fees! They do allow you to pay the processing fee over time, but still, that is a bit much. I think the Capital One Secured Mastercard is a better choice simply because they have an annual fee of only $29, and do not charge all kinds of start up fees, monthly fees, etc. Their minimum deposit is only $49 and while it may not exactly be a credit card because it is secured, it is for people with bad credit and will save you more money in the long run while also improving your credit.
